Avatar n tn Diets aren't forever. They're to lose weight on. This is a fad diet, not a permanent solution to what you should be eating for optimal health. What you need to do if you like the weight you're at is slowly transition to a diet more in keeping with what's healthiest regarding necessary antioxidants, meaning lots of vegetables, whole grains, and whatever amount of animal suits your system.
Avatar f tn How do you eat less carbs for breakfast? I can't seem to get away from bad carbs at breakfast.
Avatar f tn I am trying to eat less carbs but i need to do this right i do not know how many carbs i should require for the day? How do i find out what is right for me?
Avatar n tn Hi believe2020. Saturated fat, is not a concern anymore as any association with cholesterol, heart disease, stroke and weight gain, has never been established, other than in older, poorly designed and false studies!
Avatar m tn Heavy cream depending on the brand some have 0 carbs and some have 1 or 2 carbs. Now I assume you're not using the whole container! But if you make a little whip cream it's not a problem.
Avatar m tn Hey, I'm currently at a healthy 13.5% body fat but I'm an athlete so I'm really trying to drop that down to under 10%. I've been doing High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) in between weight lifting days and eating primarily proteins, healthy fats, and a small amount of carbs for breakfast and after excersise. I'm trying to lose as much fat as possible in the next two weeks.
1855476 tn?1356739693 I in the same situation. MY protein is showing low w fat n carbs high. Am I misreading the graph? Cause none of the graph totals are close to 100. Most are in the 700 range )carb/fat). Any help appreciated.
Avatar n tn Your body NEEDS fat! Saturated Fat does not make you fat! Real fat, from REAL, UNPROCESSED SOURCES, does not make you fat, it helps your body process the foods you are eating, and actually makes you thinner & healthier. Now, by FAT, I'm not talking about snack foods because that's processed sugars, carbs or trans-fat (not real). I'm talking about real foods like butter, cream, coconut oil, avocadoes, etc...
Avatar m tn low carb or low fat for fat loss? i have heard so many conflicting opinions...
Avatar n tn So I take kickboxing 3-4 times a week, and a resistance (muscle building) class two days a week. I eat better than I ever have, mostly fruits and vegetables, almost no carbs, very few processed foods. I am not burning fat. I am building muscle, (my clothes are actually tighter), but I am not burning the fat. I don't really care what the scale says, but I would like to know why the fat is not going away. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Avatar m tn The insulin response tells the fat to continue to STORE, not burn, and because one is still eating a lot of carbs, one burns sugar. Then, that which is not burned turns to FAT....viscious circle, don't ya think? Proteins and dietary fats do NOT store as fat; never have and never will. All carbs eventually store as FAT, so cut THEM back to restore health.
Avatar f tn Belly fat is thought to be caused by an excess of simple carbs, such as sugar and white flour. If not burned quickly they store as fat, and the belly is the first place they are stored, which gives rise to the term beer belly -- alcohol is high is sugar and carbs. So along with exercise, the important thing is to eat foods you metabolize well and digest well and cut down on the ones that "stick," such as simple carbs and the wrong kinds of fat.
Avatar f tn Hi im 36 years old, weigh 62 kilos (136 pounds) and im 5 foot 2 inches, ive been using the Wii Fit plus for 3 weeks 1/2 hour of jogging and 1/2 doing step with weights for my arms every day, im eating healthy lots of fruit, smoothies and keeping to 1200 calories a day, i am an active person without excercise but have been keeping to my 1 hour a day and im not losing weight, infact my weight goes up and down by 2 pounds nearly everyday!
1445161 tn?1312085507 How about a calculator that tells you how much carbs, protein, fat, vitmains you should consume per day ?
Avatar n tn You might be very surprised. Keep focusing on your lean meats, complex carbs, veggies, and fat free dairy, but be SURE you are getting in some healthy fat, unless you don't value your skin and hair. Good luck!
803165 tn?1293649307 Check the % of fat/carbs/protein in your daily diet.I find that if my calories from fat are above 30% for the day I won't lose weight regardless of the calorie count.
594189 tn?1386916607 Maybe the low carb diet is right for your body? Not everyone can follow all diet plans. I still eat carbs (a ton) and I'm still losing weight without a problem. Maybe stick to this low carb diet till the end of the month and see what weight comes off, if none maybe switch to something of your own.
Avatar n tn Again, calories are important, but nutritionists do not consider that the main consideration in weight. The main consideration is how well or poorly you digest the food you're choosing to eat and how the food you eat affects metabolism. Again, the same example I'm always posing, salmon is very high in fat and calories but won't make you fat unless you consume a ton of it.
988694 tn?1332359479 If you combine that fruit with say cottage cheese or string cheese etc or nuts etc to add in a protein and fat source you will not spike your blood sugar. you also will not be hungry and crave things. Also he did talk about steamed veggies and complex carbs and to avoid when you can simple carbs. it is interesting to note #2 in the above list. He claimed that people who go nuts over eliminating fat on "diets" are just chasing your tail. you body NEEDS fat.
