Avatar m tn I was rather looking for any information regarding negative effects of exercise, supplements and alcohol on the microadenoma in my head, as not to aggravate it. Not just about carb and protein loading in general to gain muscle mass, and to use d-asparic acid to raise your bodys naturals test levels. That's just exercise science, consume more train more gain more.
Avatar n tn m tired all the time and I eat as much as possible! I am taking protein shakes 5 times a day and carb loading. I stopped exercising (when I started losing) and I don't know what else to do! I had to quit my job before summer break so I lost a couple pay checks. My stomach is growing (as are my breasts) but everything else is going away. We were trying for 6 years to have this baby and sadly, she is eating me away. Does anyone have any advice? Has anyone ever heard of bed rest at 17 weeks?
Avatar f tn The downside was that during it I had terrible headaches and neck pain. But the problem... the weakness and muscle spasms are mostly gone. Now after the last IVIG infusion on Monday... 3 days ago... I have developed severe pain in my lower back. It has me crouched over and barely walking. I have to use my shower chair and walker because of it. Will this just go away? I have put in a call to the MS Center and I should know something soon, I hope.
Avatar f tn Eating helps. You might now want to eat because I didnt feel like eating so much. I couldn't eat the food I like & I still kinda cant but skipping a meal actually made it way worse for me. Eating some crackers drinking water helped best.
Avatar f tn does topamax cause weight gain, i am in 100mg a day for headaches and have gained about 50 pounds is it the topamax ?
1438633 tn?1283891249 I am still really struggling with weight loss. I have changed my diet (no sugars, very low carb) and I excercise about 3-4x a week. I am still unable to lose the weight w/o the aid of diet pills,. I went to the doc, he told me that. " I'm getting old".. WTH? I am 42.. The second issue is all the headache, they are very similar to migraines and they stop me in my tracks. I am very sensitive to the heat and get the weekly when it's hot (not good as I live in KY).
Avatar f tn At times some people think a small meal is a snack. It greatly depends on the type of "15g carbs" you consumed too. If it was a simple carb, it's consider off track behavior - a bad choice of foods as simple carbs will jack up your glucose levels. If it was a complex carb you're on the right track - a good choice of foods as glucose from these foods enter the bloodstream more slowly. Postprandial test times is 2-3 hours. I aim for 2.
Avatar f tn I never really ate THAT many carbs to begin with (grew up with a mother who was a nutritional freak :P) but when I cut about 1/2-3/4% of what I was eating I also experienced some headaches. I don't remember how long it was till I never got them, but I remember only like 2-3 wks and then my body got so used to it that if I ate "more than normal for me" amount of carbs I'd actually get a headach FROM eating them!
Avatar f tn What is the best way to treat mild faecal loading in the stomach and how long would it take to get it cured ? the symptoms of gas and bloating are really severe in my case.
666921 tn?1254990618 protein and low carb vegetables only, with lots of garlic and onions (yeast hates garlic). The first two days were awful, but after that not a big deal. It's almost 3 months now, and I've lost all the bloat and then some, down about 25 lbs, which is about where I should be. My doctor at my request has been increasing the antifungal medication to the point that it is finally working (I think) and not just suppressing the yeast infection.
Avatar f tn Obese adults followed one of the two diets for two years. Those on the low-carb diet had significantly higher cravings for carbohydrates and high-fat foods, although they were less bothered by hunger.
Avatar m tn Dr. W. I'm sure you've heard the phrase "fat and happy." Well, it's not just folklore. The same carbs that make you fat (and contribute to diabetes and other problems) also make you happy. It's simple science: Carbs allow more of the amino acid L-tryptophan to penetrate your brain. The L-tryptophan triggers your brain to make more serotonin, and the serotonin makes you feel happier. It's as simple as that!
Avatar f tn My 6 year old has headaches almost every day. And at times when she has a headache she says that she feels dizzy. should I be concerned and take her to the dr ?
Avatar f tn In a lot of illnesses (physical and mental health), there appears to be a "genetic loading" where people will have a certain amount of the required genetics but that a severe biopsychosocial trigger turns the genes "on." The heavier the genetic loading, the less severe the trigger needs to be...it's a huge start to see scientists finding these triggers.
Avatar m tn Approximately 3 years ago I was diagnosed as being B12 deficient, however, the cause is not known as I tested positive for the Intrinsic Factor AB. My doctor has prescribed shots for me every 2 weeks and this is not enough! I know my body well enough to know. At first this regimen was working, but now my symptoms are coming back (fatigue, brain fog, weight loss, imbalance, awkward gait).
1512574 tn?1342608485 Hi Sports Fans, I started Round 3 by loading on 26 Feb and 27 Feb and my 28 Feb weight after loading was 222.6 lbs. I have completed my first week and I currently weigh 213.0 lbs. That is a total of 9.6 lbs in my first week. I can not believe that I am only 13 lbs away from Onederland. Week 2 started with a big 1 lbs loss this morning and I am stoked.
Avatar f tn And the weeks on the 500 calorie diet trained me in portion control. When I did my loading days for my 2nd round, it was really hard to decide what to load with. Sweets and breads just didn't have the allure they used to have!
Avatar f tn I have been having headaches for the past couple of years. At first it was happening during my menstrual cycle, then I started on birth control which I believed helped out with my symptoms. I know I have migraines (light/noise sensitivity), but is just self-diagnosed. I have been on the birth control for the past 4 years (Now, on tri-sprintec which should be okay for migraines).
