Avatar m tn I was rather looking for any information regarding negative effects of exercise, supplements and alcohol on the microadenoma in my head, as not to aggravate it. Not just about carb and protein loading in general to gain muscle mass, and to use d-asparic acid to raise your bodys naturals test levels. That's just exercise science, consume more train more gain more.
Avatar n tn It takes some time for the weight loss to occur, but it is mostly the result of changing your diet. Change to low carb, high fat and protien diet. Get rid of sugar and gluten.
Avatar f tn Then, your post-workout fuel protein and carbs will mimic what you had before your workout. You should avoid fructose, that will prevent post exercise fat burning. Post workout meal should be a plant-based (but not soy) protein powder mixed with low sugar fruit (berries or cherries are perfect) and unsweetened coconut milk. If you have a post-workout meal, combine clean lean protein, slow-release high-fiber carbs, and healthy fats.

Avatar m tn For the last 4 years I have been lifting weights and trying to following a low carb diet plan. My day starts out at 0400 when I hit the gym for my workout. At this time in the morning my BGL is usually 103-113. After my workout my BGL is about 15-20 points higher. Is this normal??
Avatar f tn I was wondering if you have and suggestions on what I should do or eat and stuff. Like is there a workout plan that i can follow cause i still go to school and i also have a job.
Avatar f tn 30 minutes to one hour after my second shake, I workout and drink one liter of water during workout. 8: Right after my workout I drink a 50g protein shake and 15 minutes after that I have 100–150g of carbs via dextrose powder (I eat Twinkies, cookies, donuts,...) 9: One hour after my workout I will have my big solid meal, (whatever I want as long as it has a good amount of protein).
Avatar m tn But, do you break sweat 10 minutes into your workout? If not pick up the pace. And, eat before working out not after. Working out on an empty stomach makes you crave food after.
Avatar f tn The healthy choices you make to eat before running, same as after running. Just spend some cool down time. Whole grains, beans. Low fat dairy & plenty of fresh vegetables & fruits. Maybe a physical check up at the Dr too.
Avatar n tn If you are exercising every day and not getting enough food into your body you're burning empty calories and you won't get the results you need. A healthy body is made in the kitchen before the gym. Try eating six small meals a day and workout for 45 mins. The pounds should start coming off if you give your body the correct proteins.
594189 tn?1386916607 For the record, I am against low carb diets. But I appreciate that diet is a personal choice and will try to offer advice around that fact. Is this everything you are eating? I don't see any fruits/vegetables, or adequate fiber. It doesn't look balanced at all, even for low carb. Personally, I know I couldn't follow this plan for long before I'd go nuts and cheat. It is my belief that lifestyle changes are a better strategy than severe, extreme diets.
Avatar m tn It dropped to 120 and stayed there for several hours before very slowly coming down to 100, it was at 95 five hours after workout. Every time I would stand up or move, it would shoot back up to 110-120 and feel like it was pounding out of my chest. This pounding usually happens when I stand up from a sitting position but settles down after a few seconds, but this was different. I had no other symptoms aside from pretty bad anxiety upon realization it wasn't coming down.
172023 tn?1334672284 Anyway, what I recommend you eat is some form of protein, and some form of complex carb prior to exercising, about 1/2 hour before your workout or walk...whatever you have chosen to do. This provides some quick, easily usable energy for your workout, and the protein provides a bit of "oomph" during and after your workout. Some things you can eat: 1 egg, scrambled and a slice of low cal, whole wheat toast.
Avatar n tn I know my fasting should be under 100. I eat low carb and good fats. I exercise. I am at a loss as what to do. The doctor just wants to "watch me".
Avatar f tn A carb is a carb is a carb. The difference is what is in with the carbs, complex carbs have more stuff (fiber mostly) . I do know 20 grams of "white" carbs will raise MY BG from 110 to 160. 20 gr of whole wheat will raise my BG a little less from 110 to 155 but MY BG will stay high longer. try this. when you have stable BG . test your BG eat 2 slices of white bread. measure your BG after 30 minutes and 1 hour. see how much your BG changed.
Avatar m tn I believe moderate (not intense) morning exercise should contribute to good cardiovascular health. As for the spine, perhaps morning would require a little more attention to a warm-up period, say a few minutes of stretching and slow walking before the bicycle or fast walking. That's how I see it.
Avatar f tn (full body, and bodyweight burns more calories because you are using more muscles. you want to choose 10 exercises to workout with for the workout and keep the reps around 12-15. As for diet, i am not a nutritionist but something you can do is make healthier substitutes for things like cookies. you could just try any diet while you are on this exercise program and will lose around one pound a week.
