Common Questions and Answers about Carb free granola

carb

Avatar f tn Hi, Your breakfast was very high carb considering 3 Weetabix (mostly carbs, check the box), granola/oats (also mostly carbs), and skim milk (also mostly carbs). Your reading of 126 after such a high carb breakfast may be considered normal. You might want to consider reducing carbs if you are concerned about diabetes risk. Bacon and eggs with a side of toast could be a lower carb option. Or if you really want to go low carb, with a side of vegetables.
Avatar f tn Definitely no sugar but it helps to walk for at least 15 min after each meal. Watch out with fruits Iuusually count them as my carb when I would snack. I had GD last pregnancy and it was a challenge but I stuck to my diabetic diet and was able to control it. The great thing about it is I only gained 26 lbs total, unlike this time around I'm 30 weeks and have already gained 27!
Avatar f tn Apples with peanut butter, yogurt, oatmeal, whole grain pasta, baked chicken with veggies, granola bars, fiber bars, salads with diced chicken.
Avatar f tn so whenever you snack have protein with it like an apple with some cheese slices or peanut butter or almond butter (sugar free) granola with greek yogurt, veggies with hummus, hard boiled eggs are quick and easy (make a few one day and have them for the following days.) dont stress too much right now either its early and with all the hormonal chnages it can very well be alot of water retention. so reduce your salt intake and up the water.
Avatar f tn On Monday I started a low-carb diet. On Tuesday I started to feel awful and tired. I did not eat a big breakfast that day due to running late for work. On Wednesday, I woke up with the same light-headed fatigued feeling. I broke my low carb diet and began eating carbs again. I was still being lightheaded and I had palpitations. I ate a snack of veggie straws before bed and woke up an hour later. I checked my blood sugar (I'm not diabetic, but my dad is) and it was 109. Today.
Avatar f tn Agree with other two posts drink plenty of water, granola bars are good too. It's okay to eat bbc.co other stuff too just be sure to get a good intake of veggies and fruits.
798555 tn?1292787551 ve found that a very low carb diet helps tremendously. I now eat a diet of about 50 - 70 g of carb/day carefully spread out. My sugars have normalised on this. but I'll be high if I eat eve 1/2 cup of rice. PM me if you want some more resources.
Avatar f tn At this time when I eat very little sugar, or higher carb cakes (I live gluten free life, but flours like white rice flour has high carbs, that I coud not avoid yet, but I'm working on it). So when I eat a self-baked gluten free biscuit with higher carb flours, I get this strange vibration. Like an earthquake inside me. What do you think, can this be a withdrawal symptom of sugar? I hope so, and just hope that it will go away when my body will adjust.
Avatar n tn I went low carb (carbohydrate) Diet that necessitates low grain.
1451080 tn?1438527660 As a family of 5 with two children and myself being on meds and only one person working, I need some economical low carb ideas for meals and/or snacks. The low carb thing is new to my entire family. Any info would be helpful. Also, any info on how to naturally lower my blood pressure is also welcome. Thanks!
Avatar n tn we bought the book at Barnes and Nobles for $7. It is our bible! It has just about everything in it.
Avatar f tn The first diet you could try to help control your symptoms is a gluten free diet. A gluten free diet is a diet free of wheat, barley, rye and possibly oats. A gluten intolerance (which is when someone doesn't have the enzymes or not enough enzymes to break down the gluten in the above foods) can cause all of your above symptoms - PCOS, RA, hypoglycemia, etc. It's easy to look this up on the internet.
Avatar f tn If anybody has any questions about it, feel free to pm me and ask. Low carb eating can be very healthy, and for me it's benifits are numberous. And I'm never hungry. I do cheat with plain popcorn, but that's about the only cheating I do. Good luck to all.
Avatar f tn I am not familiar with the program's diets, but I do know from experience and from friends' experiences that cutting your carb intake is sooooo hard and strange at first. Your body is so used to having them for easy energy, it takes a few days for it to figure out that it is going to have to start using fat for energy, which is a less readily available energy source. Your body really has to work to get that fat burning.... which is the whole trick.
Avatar f tn I eat wheat toast with peanut butter and a banana... granola with yogurt....certain cereal...
2020005 tn?1628125976 I can do great exercising, I really push myself to get it done, my down fall is seriously eating healthy. I can eat healthy all day long, then at the end of the day cave completely. I can't let myself ignore my hunger breastfeeding or my supply will completely diminish. I've been eating a good breakfast, good lunch, a snack between lunch and dinner, and then dinner, and a snack later on. I'm having SUCH a hard time eating healthily.
Avatar f tn ll have a fruit popsicle that has only twenty five calories and they taste amazing, but if craving chocolate i eat Nature Valleys granola thins...they have a touch of peanut butter and dark chocolate on the back of the granola thin and its only sixty calories and sweet so it relieves my sweet tooth without ruining my calorie intake for the day!!! Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn m now 37 weeks with my second and have it this pregnancy.i was put on a low carb diet and have to check my sugar 4 times a day.i sometimes go over allowed carbs a little but everything level wise and baby has been good. i'm sure it depend per woman but i had to see a nutritionist to make a meal plan on how many carbs i can have each meal and snacks.she had a list for me of howamy carbs are in portions of certain foods im sure you can find a good chart on google too.
Avatar f tn I usually do at lunch or dinner. I also buy the fruit cups that are sugar free for a "free snack" when I'm craving some fruit. It's my understanding you can subsitute some high fiber grams for carb grams, but I'm unsure how to do the calculations so I don't bother. If you like bread Nature's own has some low cal, low carb whole wheat with fiber, white and honey wheat bread.
Avatar n tn The high levels of fat in my diet help keep me satiated and promotes weight loss. I also tend to avoid artificial sweeteners as much as possible. I eat gluten free and grain free.
1401296 tn?1280799533 however, my feeling is that your body needs all of the food groups, so by cutting out carbs, you could be depriving your body of necessary nutrients, etc. If you do go on a carb free diet and lose weight, most likely, you will gain it back if you go off the plan. If you stick with the complex carbs - fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc - and eliminate the simple carbs - such as sugar, white flour, regular pasta, etc, - you should do better. Of course, you still have to limit your portions.
Avatar n tn I cope by eating some sugary snack on my way to work, ( my favorite is a nutri-grain bar, and a pack of gushers, along with a couple packets of salt, and at least one 1-liter bottle of water per hour. for lunch I eat a high-carb peanut butter and jelly sandwich, usually with a few more granola bars, and more unhealthy sweets. try to avoid the oily chips, and soda's. tea often helps me in the morning, but for some reason coffee just does me in. also, stay as far from alcohol as you can.
550018 tn?1264190965 Just read the list of foods again, and it said stay on a low-carb diet. No refined sugar, all fruits, fruit juices, raisins, beets, cantaloupe, cereal, rice cakes, breads, carrots, corn, kidney beans, muffins, potatoes, pretzels, chips, rice, tortillas, granola, oatmeal, pasta, peas, yams and all sodas. It's just common sense. I avoided all ice cream and candy as well.
Avatar f tn You deffinantly need some carbs but reduce how many you eat and see if that helps. Meats are carb free most cheeses some sugar free stuff is low in carbs but not always carb free. That is a big mistake sometimes people make thinking that just because its sugar free its ok but sometimes sugar free stuff is still loaded with carbs. Example i was going to buy peeps for her for easter they were sugar free but still loaded with 28 carbs.
Avatar m tn My question is would Weight Watchers be a good diet for me go follow or the carb counting one i am on now ? I just found out i have to eat gluten free foods also this is why i am confused on which diet i should follow i am use to the carb counting .
