I am a 36 yr old football player and recently I was hit on the right shoulder. Right away I felt like hot water running down my back, then burning, and stinging. It is numb and sore but it does not feel broken.

after that i feel better and then play again at that 1st day (19-Feb-2009) i was feel better in playing but during the play i hurt by my opponent player at my leg and i suffer more pain. this pain is in my " Proneus longus and brevis" and now i cant walk properly and in rest position. i used a medicen Skelgesic (Tizanidine). submitted for your kind advice please.

The problem is that when trying to do extreme movements like sprinting and swinging leg for football, i get a kind of neural pain in my left lower back/just above buttock I have seen 2 physios, had injections in my back where the doctor thought a nerve end could be being affected, and seen a sports physio who got my core stability and leg muscles in good shape. I thought it was feeling better thanks to the exercises I had been doing for the sports physio. .

So yesterday i was football with my friend and he is not a football player but so i was running for thr ball and when he threw it it wasnt like all hard it wasa normal throw but thr ball bounced off and hit me in the balls. I couldnt feel anything after that i just went down. And it wasnt even hard but it hurt for a while and right now i dont have a distinct pain. I can move around easily but it just mild or dull pain in the stomach through the balls so please helppppp!!!!

Thanks for your comments. We live in an area where football rules and all other sports going on during that season are sissy sports. lol Not lol though. Lots of pressure to play football for boys. We'll have to discuss if football will be in his future again but its a hard thing to give up once you are part of that group. What they do to their bodies in their youth, I don't think they realize what can happen later on to those same injuries.

Im 16 im a football player, in off season not working out right now. For the around the last month or two i have been have muscle twitches and they seem to be getting worse now. they arnt just in the leg they are all over the place but for short times. Just recintally my thumbs have started to do it. so please do help give me some advice.

Concussions are not unusual And back injuries aren't rare, either. Either one of those could cause tingling and weakness.

Were they strict enough to deter this type of behavior in the future? Were the fines large enough to cause an NFL player to think again before trying to deliberately hurt another player? I don't think one year suspension for a coach is enough if he is guilty of this but, I don't have all of the facts. What do you guys think?

The on-site clinician stated my scan was most akin to a former professional football player who had one or more concussions. I am not that man but I do apparently have a blood flow problem to the cerebellum. The cerebrum oddly has increased blood flow to certain areas when it shouldn't, including a seemingly over-excited thalamus. Suggestions on all of these are appreciated but I am primarily interested in how I could increase blood flow the the cerebellum.

Hello, Im 17 years old, almost 18 and when i was 14 i had broken my tibia and fibula in a football game and gotten a titanium rod placed in my tibia. i left it in following the doctors advice and ever since then i have had really bad leg pain and shin splints whenever i would run, sometimes even walk. i play running back and im starting to limp when i sprint and its making me quite slow. the pain is bad. If i were to get the rod removed would this pain most likely go away?
