For months now, I've had this patch of extremely itchy pimples and rash between my breasts(some of them ARE pimples, I 'popped' a couple by itching and got cores). They didn't spread until recently, but nothing(creams, cleansers, etc) helped them stop itching or clear up. In the last month, they've spread to cover my entire chest, upper arms(down to short sleeve length), and upper back pretty solidly.
I have suffered a similar adult acne story as Sean who posted 7th Sept 1999. I am 25 years old Female. I had typical acne from an early age (11 years old) and received Roacutane (same as Accutane I think) when I was 15 years old. It worked a treat but 9months after I had finished treatment the acne returned. Over the years I have been on 3 treatments of Roacutane for about 18months each with the same result about 9 months later.
Thoroughly wash your body everyday, especially the back and shoulder part using a back brush and frequently change your bed sheet, as it is conducive for bacterial growth. Engage in a diet that is low in sugar and fat but is rich in vitamins. This prevents acne by preventing the buildup of excess oil on the skin. Also refrain from touching or squeezing your shoulder acne. Also try to keep your hair free of dandruff by using good antidandruff shampoos.
Pimples on the chest and shoulders are usually acne. I don't know why you're worried about MRSA, and don't see why you should be. I advise you to cleanse with benzoyl peroxide--available without prescription--and that you consult a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

I always assumed the little bumps on my back was acne however, I now have a few on my chest and my back gets a little itchy now whereas before it didn’t. My back is a bit oily to the touch. I googled causes and all these frightening things popped up, bed bugs, scabies etc.

Each one grows and stays, not a single one had receeded, at firs they look like normal chest acne, then they grow bigger and bigger, very slowly. Had them for at least 2 years now on chest and back. Face is clear of acne (mostly)
the acne is permanent, never receeds, but are never painful, even when squeezed, no itch, nothing, but they are red. there are around 40, small and large, the largest ones are around 1 cm across, mostly symetrical, some are more oval-like. They are also very raised.
I've been breaking out on my chest, upper back and face from the get go. 35 days left, 3rd trimester my skin has calmed down a bit.
my 17 year-old boy has keloids over his arms, chest and back. The bigger one is about 1cm. other smaller ones about 0.5 cm and 0.2 cm. These keloids are left from acne.
I intend to choose "apply pressure method" but I have no idea where can I get those necessary stuffs. grateful if you can let me know where can I get them.

Lastly it can be due to hormonal influence and overproduction of sebum by the sebaceous glands. Skin on the face, chest, and back has an especially large number of sebaceous glands. These are the areas where acne occurs. Diet is not a cause of acne but can be a contributing factor. So avoid taking any excess fatty diet and consult a dermatologist for the topical treatment of acne.

I had a culture done and the results came back negative for s. aureus, beta-hemolytic streptococcus, and p. aeruginosa. No doctor seems to know what the problem is, and stressing about it so much has definitely not helped. Not only is this very embarrassing, but the skin on my chest and neck burn really bad, even between treatments. Has anyone dealt with something similar or have any idea what could be causing it?

It's the hormones going crazy! I had horrible ance all over in the beginning and now I'm 30 weeks and it's coming back! Be careful when using products and check with your doc on what's safe. I found out a yr ago that I'm allergic to benzoyl peroxide. Good thing I wasn't pregnant at the time.

It has grown in spurts since that age (I am now 24) and now covers a large portion of my upper chest. From what I can tell, I get acne-like bumps on my chest that I've recently noted to itch all day long, then the bumps smoothen out and keep a dark brown color. I feel that recently the discoloration has begun to spread more and the itchiness is bothersome. I had a biopsy taken 10 years ago or so and they did nothing (I do not remember the diagnosis, if any, because it was so long ago).

i am 38 /M from india, for past 3 months am working out lot to reduce weight, jus one month back, i ve lot of red itchy bumps appearing on my chest , back and underarms, one or two in elbows. they stay for 4-5 days and produce white head , and dries with black mark.
exactly one month ago, i had an encounter with a callgal, jus masturbated on her body without penetration, near her thighs,
am worried is this heatrash, or adult acne, or anything with STD.
Also, just a side note: I was prescribed Apprilon (a doxycycline modified release capsule) last month, as I have had marginal success with antibiotics over the years (twice, to be exact). When I googled this medication I found it is usually used to treat acne only associated with rosacea, and does not help in areas of bacterial infection, but inflammation.. I'm thinking my doc screwed up. Any chance Apprilon caused this whitehead rash?

Hello. I have had these red bumps on my chest that look like pimples or cysts, they are fairly large and swollen. They are Also hard to touch. I tried putting salisylic acid and benzoyl peroxide acne treatment but they were no help, the bumps were still there. I've used many topical acne treatments but the "pimples" still won't shrink or disappear.
I'm bi-racial (black & white) & on my back are these dark colored spots, i have a caramel brown complexion with these dark brown spots on my back & a few on my chest the ones on my chest i thought were just acne scars but i'm not sure, i'm so embarrassed to have my shirt off & just wish they were gone, Is there any way to rid of them, like a successful cream or lotion??
