avalide

Avatar f tn and could not get to supraventricular arrythmia because of loss of blood pressure.. I was in intensive care for a couple of days to keep blood pressure before doctor put me on norpace cr 150 twice a day. I have been on it ever since and am now 71 years old. Recently I was given biaxin by my family doctor not aware of the possible interaction and I began to retain after only two of them. Since then I have not been able to get my blood pressure under control again.

Avatar m tn Get off avalide. I have been extremely thirsty and have been off the drug 10days and still have the thirst. I am diabetic and sugars are betwwen 5 and 10 so I am good.
492329 tn?1290883385 I take Avalide 150/12.5 and Atenolol 50 mg, am/pm for Avalide and he did up my Atenolol to twice a day. He wants me to walk 30 mins a day and lose 25 lbs in 6 mos. However, my head aches the minute I more my ears ring to. He seems to think they are not connected. I'm really, really terrified! Oh and I had a heart cath in Oct 2008 all okay, but he did mention an S4 but said it would go away when the pressure comes down.
Avatar m tn ve seen no blood. I am a 55y/o male.
492329 tn?1290883385 Recently, as you can tell from my posts, I had a problem with controlling my blood pressure. This went on for about a month. During that time I had an echo, EKG, 24 hr. urine, carotid doppler scan, CT of head and numeous blood tests. All fine (which is good I suppose)! Suddenly, my blood pressure goes back to normal if not a bit low and Atenolol became to much for me. My doc dropped to 25 mg and it still runs in the 50's. I'm concerned, what could be causing this phenom.

Avatar n tn ve been on Lopressor for years to keep my heart rate down and Avalide for blood pressure. Then in November, my arrthymia worsen. So after about 6 weeks of playing with my Lopressor dosage, my doctor cut the lopressor and put me on Cardizem which is a calcium channel blocker like verapamil. My heart rate became much worse...very rapid like around 120-140....after 3 days of this, I begged to get back on Lopressor so we did and it's back to how it was ...no better no worse....
Avatar m tn NO YOUR NOT!!!! More than likely the reason for your high blood pressure is due to the alcohol, and stress that you been under for the last 2 years. It's hard I know to realize what is coming first, the alcohol or the stress. Go back to your Dr's and explain (if you can) what is going on - they are here to help us. As for your panic attacks, do they come on after or before your drinking?
Avatar m tn Intense exercise, such as strength training, weight lifting etc can cause a dramatic increase in blood pressure at the time of training - is the Avalide for BP? And by coatose, do you mean really spaced out, sleepy? I take Coversil and Toprol, but they are to slow the heart rate, and block the affect of hormones on it (like adrenalin). I feel really tired on them, and more dizzy (than when sedentary) if I try to exercise, but dont have the same symptoms as you described, so am just curious...
1243333 tn?1296446902 Hi I'm a 51 year old female diagnosed with extensive premature coronary heart disease (11 Stents), anemia, gerd and high blood pressure 2 1/1 years ago, I'm on numerous bp meds and even so my bp is extremely high (240/140 last Doc appointment), they have termed it malignant, at the last doc appointment she told me I'm going to have a stroke and possible another heart attack, I have repeatedly told all my doc's that I am having major issue with the meds they make me physically il
Avatar f tn No significant health problems other than mild hypertension treated with Avalide. My potassium was low (I think due to the HCTZ in the Avalide). I don't drink, smoke or take any recreational drugs. I saw a neurologist, who says the MRI is normal, EEG is not (temporal lobe irregularities). He's on vacation...I'm traveling alot and can't see him for another 2 weeks. Is this a problem I need to see someone about before then?
Avatar n tn s supposed to, and the goes down the front of my pants.I am taking high blood pressure medication - Avalide. Also I am taking vytorin , Foradil, and spirvia. Avatar n tn s , Taking low dose aspirin daily and a diruretic (off of Avalide for blood pressure) and take 1/4 of a 0.5mg of klonopin 2 times a day(am/pm) for the anxiety from this experience. Am presently wearing a Holter monitor for PVC's for 10 days to see if PVC's are a serious problem.. Learning to not be scared and trying to live each day as it comes. Working with a Doc that actually gives a darn.
Avatar m tn I’m 58 yrs old, 5 ft 10 in and 200 lbs. I’ve been taking Avalide 150/12.5 for pre-hypertension for 8 months. I exercise six times per week and have done so for years; weights twice each week and spinning/bike four times. Any thoughts, input would be appreciated.
973741 tn?1342342773 I read on another forum here that someone has used beets for their blood pressure. I've started reading about this and studies say you can decrease your BP by 7% with beets! How do you do this with beets? Is this beet powder, supplements, beet juice (how does that taste?!), fresh beets???? How do you use beets to decrease blood pressure and does it work?
Avatar f tn I would assume your doctor asks you to come in for regular NSTs and will probably monitor you for hypertension... Then again, you know what they say about people who assume. Contact your doctor, dear. Best of luck to you.
1807280 tn?1318607576 I ran out of my blood pressure meds & don't have the $ to refill them. Now I'm having problems breathing, real short of breath & dizzy. What should or can I do?
212161 tn?1599427282 Low blood pressure is generally only worrisome when you are symptomatic- such as lightheaded, dizzy, etc. Continue with your appointment for your echo and discuss your concerns about your blood pressure with your cardiologist when he/she reviews your echo with him. Good luck.
Avatar f tn In hospital for high blood pressure. I am almost 36 weeks with my baby boy. If doesn't go down we have him tomorrow! !
Avatar f tn I run low normally but my readings the past two days have been pretty low. 95/49, 85/50, 94/49, 89/53, etc. High blood pressure is the one that gets alarm bells, but I am wondering if these readings are related to the physical feeling I'm having? I don't feel anxious, my mind feels so calm and clear. I really feel great (it really is a pay off to get off the drugs and realize you weren't feeling as good as you thought you were!) except for this bothersome feeling.
Avatar f tn I know in early pregnancy you blood pressure can be lower and as it goes on you blood pressure will get higher. With that said that is low and most people do not run that low. Do you know what your normal is? You should get that checked out because that can cause people to get lightheaded and dizzy. Hope this helps.
212161 tn?1599427282 Apparently many patients with high blood pressure at home due to lots of stress seem to calm down a lot in the waiting room for a Doctor, or when admitted into hospital. This reflects a normal blood pressure while at home their blood pressure is much higher. The opposite also takes effect where some people feel anxiety visiting a Doctor or being in hospital. The minute they leave and go home, their blood pressure relaxes and yet they are now on meds to lower it even further.
Avatar m tn With hepatitis C, stress, high blood pressure and overweight you are now like anyone else who has a diet of cheeseburgers and french toast.
Avatar m tn I'm a 37male and started checking my blood pressure at local pharmacy a few months ago. It is averaging around 168 over 95. The chart on the machine says that it is high. Should I go in or is it only borderline? I had a physical about 3 1/2 years ago and don't remember anything then. I was in a for a procedure (vas) a year and a half ago and it was a slightly high but they considered it "nerves". Thoughts?
Avatar f tn You don't get chest pains with high blood pressure! Are you taking your own pressure? I suggest you see your doctor and have it checked!!!
