and could not get to supraventricular arrythmia because of loss of blood pressure.. I was in intensive care for a couple of days to keep blood pressure before doctor put me on norpace cr 150 twice a day.
I have been on it ever since and am now 71 years old. Recently I was given biaxin by my family doctor not aware of the possible interaction and I began to retain after only two of them. Since then I have not been able to get my blood pressure under control again.
I had been taking 150 mg of avapro for 10 years for high blood pressure. I recently lost 25 pounds and was able to maintain my blood pressure on 75 mg. in fact with a home machine my blood pressure is consistently low. It never goes above 106/70 and most often is 90-97/70-75. Would it be safe to stop taking the medication to see if I can keep the pressure from getting high? Or would it be safer to cut the pill in half and if so, for how long?
Had an ultra sound on the weekend and nothing shows up. I am now on warfrain for 3 months post op and I have high blood pressure where I take labetalol. diltiazam, flecinide(?) and avapro.
What is going on?
I am happliy married with a 3 year old and lots of family for backup. I have noticed that my patience are running thinner than usuall. God bless my wife.

I was offered Lisinopril, I thought it was for high blood pressure, while I was hospitalized for a-fib last fall. I was already on an anti-arrythmic and a beta blocker and a couple of other unrelated drugs. Anyway they offered me Liprinosil and I declined to add yet another drug. My cholestersol is about the same as yours and I'm on crestor for that. Haven't had blood tests yet to confirm that it has lowered it. Do you take any thyroid meds or hormone med.
t know much about heart disease or high blood pressure but let me tell you a couple things I know about this medication. Lisinopril is used to control high blood pressure and water retention. Too strong of a dosage can cause diarrhea which can cause potassium to drop low.
Losartan - potassium (Cozarr) is used to control hypertension and might be a better fit for your daughters condition as the side effects are similar.

~ I agree with the other two posters, go back to your doctor and see if you are experiencing side effects and if there is an alternative for you. I started taking blood pressure medicine at the age of 26 and also had a hard time adjusting to the medication (I had some of the same symptoms as you except feeling depressed). If your blood pressure has been running high for a long time, you and your body will have to get use to being in the normal range.
I'm on bp meds and it's working great for me. No side effects and bp is now under control!
Bupropion can cause pounding of heart and palpitations. It usually does not cause high blood pressure. If the high blood pressure is drug related, it will come down in 2-3 days. If the high BP persists, please get this investigated, monitored and treated. Take care!

After ½ it becomes Ok. But sugar has gone high again. Last 2 days in addition to high pressure, sugar bounces to high value start to shake, I have to eat immediately then but suar goes further high. I habe no medicine to lower sugar at night. When I went to bed sugar was 8.4. To day morning sugar was 9.4, pressure high. Start shaking, sugar went to 11.5, took 12 units of humalog, sugar went high upto 14.5 and started dropping.
I was taking the generic form of Toprol (?) for my high blood pressure, 25 mg and it was giving me problems after being on it for over a year. Horrible dreams, head aches/pressure, and pain in the area of my left kidney. The Dr put me on Bystolic, but it was samples and there is no information on side effects. I have started having stomach problems and acid reflux lately. Can the Bystolic be causing this? What would be other good choices?
There are several reasons for your erectile issues, including the hypothyroidism(which contrbutes quite a bit), possible side effects from the blood pressure agents, side effects of having high blood pressure in the first place, and even the possibility of a low testosterone(which should be checked). Speak with your doctor about increasing your thyroid dose, possible side effects of your blood pressure agents and getting your blood pressure down, and also testing your testosterone levels.
