I too and am on Zoloft and Ativan. Have you been talking to a good therapist? I had alot of trial and error with someone I felt comfortable with. Once I finally found one, I felt much better and made more progress. I know what it is like to lose your sense of identity and get frustrated, but in my opinion, the answer to your question, is no, I do not think you will feel like this forever.

I am currently taking 10mg of buspirone 2x day and 15mg of mirtazapine for major depression and generalized anxiety. I have been feeling constantly tired, apathetic and despondent. My psychiatrist prescribed a starting dose of sertraline of 50mg/day. Since starting the sertraline again i have been suffering from physiological anxiety symptoms such as a tight throat, lump in throat, trouble swallowing and breathing, etc.

My went to visit my doctor about my anxiety and sleeping issues and he has put me on Cipralex 10mg dosage a day and also prescribed me 50mg of trazodone to be taken at bedtime to help me sleep. Does anyone take these prescriptions? if so could I please get some feedback on them?

depression and anxiety pretty much go together as a package deal. really it's a matter of what level of depression and anxiety you have. sometimes the depression is much stronger than the anxiety, and vice-versa. but untreated or ignored depression can easily cause anxiety issues eventually. as mentioned, where you start is a psychiatrist...especially since you're already taking meds. find a good one that you trust to listen to you and not just write prescriptions.

I am supposed to take 300 mg gabapentin three times a day, for a total of 900 mg. The gaapentin is to take the place of Zanax, which I took for anxiety and ocd. Zanax is addictive so the doctor is replacing it with this.

Being under that much stress and anxiety may be worse for you and the baby then the medications. In the end it is up to you and how you feel/what you feel you need.

This worry he experience is not a normal child worry, it is severe, complaining of headaches, sickness and bad thoughts like death. Our dog had to be put down due to cancer and age and my cousin and sister have cancer as well as a dear friend whom does not have long to live. My husband has a benign tumor in his parotid gland that need a operation in feb this year. My son see's these people regular and I feel it has a very big impact on him.

Im on medication for depression and anxiety. Also occasionally I have a sedative in case I go bizzercerz. Would that hurt my child more than stress would?

re concerned about possible interactions between Zoloft and ultram , I would ask your pharmacist where you go to fill the prescriptions for these two medications. Good luck.

I take Hydroco/APAP 10-325 (4) times a day and Clonazepam 0.5 MG daily and feel great. Is there any danger in taking both these medications?

Depression per se is not ADHD, and school counselors are not qualified to diagnose you. You are best seeing a psychiatrist or a competent psychologist for your problem. Your family doctor is more apt to give you a pill instead of an informed evaluation.

It is probably the combination of the two. I suffered from insomnia and anxiety issues as well and I think the only reason I'd sleep better was because of the dampening effect they had on my stress levels, and the peace of mind from knowing I was being helped. If Paxil is causing sleeplessness (which is common) then it is not going to help you any with anxiety or depression. Why did you decide to go on another antidepressant?

I'm in San Diego. I've been diagnosed with Panic Disorder and/ or Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I also have major depression. I have San Diego county insurance (CMS), that lets me see a Nurse Practioner, plus I'm seeing a psychiatrist at one of the county's behavorial health clinics. She says she wishes she could give me the valium or clonazepam that I have been prescribed to off and on for the last 12 years, but that her "hands are tied.

There are a couple of things that I would recommend that you do so that you can make informed decisions and be less overwhelmed (which can increase anxiety and depression). Get a big expanding file folder and label it with sections such as "lab results", "Hep C information", "insurance", "bills/receipts", "prescriptions", etc.

I know how you feel. Anxiety and depression are the pits.... but with the right meds you can live a normal life. Talk with your doc when you go... hope this helps.

You only need one! My son has two types of anxiety disorders and major depression (plus 5 other disorders) and ONLY takes zoloft! Seriously, help yourself and find One doctor that will listen to you and Really help you. I don't know if this helps you? By the way, I only take Lexpro daily (10mg) and have not been in the hospital but three times in over a year....

I am battling major night sweats, hot flashes, moodiness, anxiety, depression, and now reflux, sleep issues...etc. I am not sure the best thing to do. I feel like I just have more and more prescriptions thrown at me and I am overwhelmed. Any advice would be helpful.

I’ve been feeling the depression and anxiety come back. No real reason why it should. I guess being a contractor at a Company is doing it to me. I was laid off from a FTE position and I joined another company as a contractor. I’m worried I could be let go any time. I’m worried I’ll never be converted. And I’m so extremely worried about losing benefits and having to pay for coverage through COBRA. I’m worried I’ll never grow. I guess I do have a valid reason to be anxious.

Hi all, im 32+3 weeks wth my first and really starting to struggle with the idea of labour I have suffered from anxiety and depression in the past and scared of going back down that route as im constantly thinking negative thoughts about things going wrong in labour. I have been on various forms of different anti-depressants which also help some anxiety. The longest medication I was on was Effexor XR for maybe 8 years. Over that time I developed an alcohol problem. Since then I quit alcohol without a problem, however, I am currently in the midst of a major depressive episode due to a break up of a relationship. I went off Effexor 6 months ago and my doctor put me on 150 mg of the Zoloft generic and also started me on Wellbutrin generic.
