Avatar f tn For about six weeks now I have had a constant headache. I have had about a seven year history with what I thought were migraines. Previously, I would get a 'migraine' about 1-2 times/month and I would take an Imitrex and try and sleep it off. Over winter break, I got a headache and it stuck with me ever since. Here is a bit of history...
1929972 tn?1328548262 Headache is still here.I'm thinking it must be sinus or allergy to last this long. I've never woken up with the same headache I went to sleep with til now. Oh well this too shall pass. Just wish it would pass very quickly. I'm staying strong and praying. Thank you all.
Avatar m tn 10 days ago, I woke up with sore throat kind of symptom (with pain in neck, normally i will get such pain in neck in allergy season), headache, etc. Dr prescribed me antibiotics which helped me a bit. 4 days ago i went to allergy Dr to get Kenalog steriod shot for my allergy treatment. I woke up that night with night sweat and it has happened few times in last 5 days. I also logs 4 pounds weight in last 10 days (i was 172, now 168).
Avatar m tn Hello, I was hoping to get others input on what other things I should be considering with a constant headache I have been having. Basically I have been having constant pressure/pain around my right temple, right sinus and right eye. The pain is not sharp, more dull and achy and has not let up for 7 months. I am 33. I have had a fairly extensive work up with no answers. Namely, and MRI of brain and neck, blood chemistries, CBC, lyme (western), nerve conduction and EMG of arm, leg and neck.
Avatar n tn I can always tell when a sinus headache is coming on as my neck starts to stiffen and I can feel the pain graduate around to my sinuses. Usually lasts 3-4 days - and seems very related to the weather. Nothing over the counter seems to work.. a very hot wash cloth on the sinuses helps though..
17020225 tn?1455749597 I am very prone to migraines, food allergy headaches and have lots of sinus/allergy headaches. I hope you find some relief soon!
Avatar n tn Thanks for getting back to me! I have seen a neurologist and told him about the neck pain and how I get my headache relief but I could talk to him again. I just can seem to get anything to work. What is really frustrating about the whole thing is that I have never had this problem before and now the headache has never gone away. My heart and eyes were fine so I will probably get an ENT opinion and even look into my teeth.
Avatar n tn sinus problems, weak, tired ,neck and shoulder pain and very emotional, bad headache specially around the eye
Avatar n tn Iam a 32 year old female with sharp, piercing pain on the right side of my head. The pain spreads down into my neck. My right eye has become red, watery, and puffy, my eyelid seems to droop. I have a cluster of three lymph nodes that are swollen in my neck just below my right ear. This has lasted about three weeks….In need of relief any idea what this may be???
Avatar f tn It may present as a mild to moderate constant band-like pain or pressure around the forehead or back of the head and neck, headache occurring later in the day, difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep, chronic fatigue, irritability or disturbed concentration. This could also be caused by tightened muscles in the back of the neck and scalp which is due to inadequate rest, poor posture, emotional or mental stress, and overexertion.
Avatar n tn Glands under ears sore and painful, pain around eyes when touched. Just want to sleep and lay down. Saw a pain doctor for a back problem and he prescribed gabapentin. One dose of the pill knocked me down for a day and can't function under that med. Just feel llike this is more than a tension headache, as it never goes away. Did see ENT, had eyes checked when this all started and everything was ok there. Can't live this way so any help appreciated.

620048 tn?1358018235 I probably know the answer to this but here goes...I have had a headache for a long, long time now. I can't get anything for it and i do understand that its better to go after the cause than the symptom BUT I DON'T CARE !! I have done everything my dr said, I am taking allergy and sinus meds, bought a humidifier for my room, I have tried otc pain meds...nothing is helping. And I did not want to take my methodone but I gave in and took 2 of them today.
Avatar f tn Hello, The first possibility is of a spinal cause like cervical stenosis or degeneration which is causing nerve irritation. Nerve irritation may present with pain in the neck and when movement of the neck is there from side to side if cervical spine is involved and tingling and numbness in the upper extremities. Any spinal cause in the lower spine may be associated with tingling in the soles of feet and legs.
Avatar m tn About a day after I developed the headache I started having a weird sensation in my neck. More like a pain I have never experienced. Kind of like a tired muscle feeling. Since last week I have had the headache and neck pain is much worse radiating from the back of my head (where the two bones at the back of the head are) to my shoulders. The headache seems to be worse in the morning when I wake up and is not a constant headache.
Avatar f tn precipitation of head pain by neck movement or awkward neck positions, head pain when external pressure is applied to the neck or occipital region, restricted range of motion of the neck, and neck, shoulder and arm pain. Treatment for cervicogenic headache includes physical therapy, medications, behavioral therapy, and other modalities.
Avatar f tn I am a 29 yr old female who has had a headache everyday for 182 days now and I am at my wits end. I wake up every morning with a tension headache (a dull constant pain between the temples and around the forehead area) that feels like a 4 out of 10 on the pain scale and stays with me all day and all night. I also wake up with really dry eyes and somewhat dry lips (but not a dry mouth). Recently in the last two weeks I have also woken up with neck and upper back pain that stays with me all day.
Avatar f tn Headache, fever, halitosis, fatigue, dental pain, cough and ear pain. Headache, while not uncommon is classified as Minor only because it is a relatively insensitive and non-specific symptom, not because it is unimportant to the patient. Note how few of the above symptoms your husband has experienced. There is evidence, in recent years, to suggest that many headaches or “pressure” attributed to chronic sinusitis are not really caused by acute or chronic sinusitis.
Avatar f tn So I got neck pain, headaches, shoulder pain, leg pain, and tenderness. I just started back working (because of this economy, not because of my back pain), and I swear I am in the worst pain ever. I can not sit up straight, in the same spot, for too long. Even when I'm leaned against a pillow in bed or on the sofa, my back and neck aches. I stay in pain!!
Avatar m tn Migraine is also a possibility since you do have pain in the eyes along with headache. Have been able to identify any triggers for these symptoms? Yes it will make sense to schedule an appointment at the free clinic and try for an early appointment. In the meantime you can continue with neck exercises and take OTC pain killers if the pain gets out of control. Also make sure you eat on time and drink lot of fluids during the day to prevent dehydration.
Avatar f tn t feel the spasms, they are still healing and so are tied up in knots pinching on things. I tried the muscle relaxer and that actually helped my headache better than the pain meds! Still get weird crawling sensation in my head, probably from the same thing. Wanted to post in case anyone else had the same trouble. I'm officially past my 2 month mark -- WOW! I can't believe it has really been that long.
Avatar f tn The headaches came back full force of course and my pain that was by my lower neck has moved to the back lower right side of my head and the pain is making me feel sick. I sometimes feel quite nauseated and very very sleepy. I thought it was just because of the pregnancy but i only seem to get these certain symptoms with the pain. I had a CAT scan done back before I was put on Topamax but I am afraid the hospital I went to didn't do the CAT scan done right.
Avatar m tn right after the exprosure i woke up with a headache and then a i had a neck spasm and a sore thorat .but now am having an itchy allergy in my whole body.. and is the hiv test conclusive?
