I had an bad outbreak on my tongue that was very painful leaving me unable to talk or eat anything for about a week....this started happening after i let a friends baby drink off my water bottle and afterwards i drunk off it without cleaning it....when i went to my doctor she checked my mouth and said she was going provide me with antibiotics.....
if i drunk acyclovir because of hsv1 can that affect on my hiv testing? i was tested 7 weeks after the exposure. i had only 1 risk sexual contact and this person was also tested after 1 week of exposure and found negative for hiv and hcv and hbsag. the test that was used was elisa test 4. generation for bouth of us. is it possible that the result is false negative because of the acyclovir use (this person did not take any medicine at the time)?
He tested me, and I came back positive for HSV2. I started taking suppressive meds (acyclovir 800mg/day). The bump popped, diminished, then a month later came back, still no itch, no pain. I'm thinking this is a HSV2 outbreak and treat it with increased acyclovir. Time goes by and I'm asking questions on the HSV bulletin boards, and its not adding up. Finally I figure out it must be a wart. I get the medicine and the wart goes away in 3 days.
I went to the doctors to get checked out, and he took a look and prescribed me Acyclovir. I have been taking acyclovir for the past 20 days and my outbreak is still there no of the lesions have popped and gone away. I have been bringing a ton of water and not eating processed food. Shouldn't it have cleared up by now? This is my initial outbreak and like I said before it has been three weeks since the start of the outbreak now. Any advice would be appreciated.
t know what it was at the time and my test results were all negative except for hpv type 11 and hsv 2 at 1.3. I had no symptoms for hsv 2 but I had been reading that hpv might show up and be easier to contract if hsv 2 is present. However, the doctor in Mexico prescribed acyclovir 200 mg 4x a day.
And it not possible to be HPV related disease, right?.....it just bump rash that itching,inflammed when rubbed, after few days...it becomes smaller again and black and slowly become normal skin.....
herpes lesions won't heal while you are on the acyclovir. acyclovir only disrupts the viral replication cycle, you have to wait for the skin to finish healing if indeed it's herpes related.
your symptoms do not sound like they are due to herpes.
not sure why the provider gave you once daily acyclovir when they didn't think you had herpes going on. once daily acyclovir doesn't do anything anyways and it's not something we use for hpv. I'm not sure that is a provider I'd see again.
probably over reacting to think you have a std from that night. many things can cause rashes and a newly acquired hpv infection wouldn't have shown up in a week like that either.
Yes It was just one encounter both vaginal and oral. I just got the results of my tests. HPV 1 positive HPV 2 negative. I used to get frequent cold sores as a kid so that didn't come as much a surprise. I realize it may be too early to test HPV 2 so I will definitely test again in three months, but I will take this as a good sign.
Like I said your HPV infection could have cleared up just as it does naturally, if you had HPV. E-How.com is only a site that does have some medical marketing and reverberates some inaccuracies. This is not medical literature please supply one medical trial that this has worked in.
If you are going to continue a relationship with this person you should confirm exactly what dose of acyclovir they are on. If they really are only taking 200mg once a day that isn't enough to reduce your risk.
