ve recently been experiencing pain in my stomach, gallbladder region, or right upper abdominal pain. It will last for an hour or even two. It has once lasted for longer than a few hours and into the next day- 11pm to 8am, and consisted of dry gagging, puking, extreme abdominal pain, and even back pain. When it starts hurting and acting up, it will wrap around to my back, the lower portion and then make its way up my back.
I too started to have upper abdominal pain after the birth of my 2nd son. I was found to have gallstones and had my gallbladder removed.
Have you had this checked? Pregnancy can cause gallstones......
I have also found though that my problems after having my gallbladder removed have not gotten any better, and am being investigated for sphincter of oddi dysfunction.

For the past three days I have been having upper abdominal pain. The pain usually starts at night and tends to wake me from sleep. It's a burning, almost empty stomach feeling pain, just under my ribs. It began the morning after I drank alcoholic beverages. The pain lasts for about an hour. The pain also onsets just after eating. Even though I know that I am full, I don't feel full. I feel as if I should eat more in hopes to mask the pain. I also experience nausea with the pain.
I am not sure that gallstones could cause such a widespread pain. The pain is not associated to alcohol, it has happened after eating as well...kind of starts off like indigestion. I have been trying to find a link from my diet on what may be the trigger. I started a food journal to help narrow it down. So far nothing. Also, never had any of these issues until after taking the Cipro and using Lisinopril. Not sure if it is related.
Gallstones pain is typically located just below the lowes right rib in the middle of the rib, and it is a cramping pain, usually occuring within an hour after a fatty meal.
Would you say, there's any bulge on the painfull spot? This would be abdominal hernia then (small intestine protruding out through abd. muscles).
Deep there is duodenum. Duodenal ulcer causes pain between meals, so when you're hungry, and it's better after the meal.

Gallstones might have developed a few months back. This is only speculation.
For about the last year or so I am always having abdominal pain. I t doesnt matter what I eat, or dont eat, my stomach feels very bloated, usually always painful, cramping. My abdoman looks very extended (I think that is the word for it) it usually comes on quit fast and last a few hours. Out of a 7 day week my stomach is like this 4 to 5 days aweek. Its very uncomfortable, I have regular bowel movements, I dont have diarreah, I dont vomit, although I do feel kind of queezy once in a while.
I was having abdominal pain on my right side with pain around my rib cage in Feb 2012, so my doctor ordered abdominal and pelvic ultra sounds. The results showed that I had a polyp and or gallstones on/in my gallbladder. I saw a GI MD who said he thought I had polyps on my gallbladder not gallstones and that the pain around my rib case was probably muscular-skeletal. He told me to come back in 5 years, which is what he told me in 12/11 after he removed a pre-cancerous polyp from my colon.
ve had gallstones and have now had my gallbladder removed. I had horrendous stabbing pain just under my breasts in the middle of my chest, it would then go away but rise up through my back. The pain lasted 15mins and I could time my watch by it. I would feel really cold and shaky after the attacks. I had about 4 attacks every few months. The last time I had it the pain lasted two hours (due to eating a lot of fatty food that weekend) and then I was rushed to hospital.
Is it possible to have gallstones after your gallbladder has been removed? Im having the same sympyons I did when my gall bladder was removed.
Have had abdominal pain for a while, now pain in the back, left and right. Don't know if there is a connection.
Wondering if people have backache with IBS. Also wondering if people have infections that don't show up on routine tests.

Hey, I am a 19 year old male in perfect physical condition, but suffer from chronic abdominal pain. I developed the pain at age 17 and have gone though dozens of doctors and dozens of diagnosis and five surgeries. Nothing has helped. I suffer from pain in my upper right quadrant of my abdomen, and when I eat most foods, I either throw up, or suffer from diarrhea, I have lost too much weight, 75 pounds in a few months, and am tired of not being able to eat.

I am sorry to hear of your pain .There could be any number of things causing your pain .Of course ,we are all just chronic pain patients here so no one is qualified to diagnose you .If I were you i would make an appt with my Dr .I wouldn't think you need immediate care but i would get an appointment soon.I am just guessing but it sounds like you may have acid reflux .But, like i said I am not a Dr .
m not completely sure why but it starts with nausea and turns into full blown stomach pain and abdominal pain and a few times I had lower back pain to go with it. I've crossed out the thought of being pregnant because I've been on the pill and lately this stomach pain has been killing my sex life. And unfortunately I'm flat broke being a full time student that I cannot afford to see a doctor and I have a hard time getting $10-$20 to visit a local walk-in clinic. Any suggestions?
I am in so much pain and not sleeping well. I would like to know if gallstones can change your moods as i am so aggitated and snappy at the moment.
My current symptoms (abdominal and back pain, belching, constant bloating, pressure in upper abdomen) started when I began having gallbladder attacks every few days, and I was taking antibiotics for H. pylori (which was found before the gallstones were). The first ultrasound showed innumerous gallstones in my gallbladder and 17% EF on HIDA scan. The second ultrasound showed no gallstones 6 months later and 64% EF on HIDA scan.
Just wondering if anyone else had experienced gallstones when pregnant. Im 37 weeks and have been experiencing severe pain under my right rib for the last 3 weeks. My OB sent me for an abdominal ultrasound yesterday and has just phoned to say that they found several small stones.
About a month ago I started having weird right upper abdominal pain. The pain is located one inch above my belly button and one inch to the right. It is stabbing/cramping pain that lasts a few hours but it is not debilitating (5/10 at most). I go about my day as normal but it does hurt more when I stretch (reach for the sky) and hurts less when I get in the fetal position. I added fiber to my diet, and changed my eating habits (no more soda and fatty foods) and the pain is now very dull.
Hi. I'm a 15 year old Asian female and recently I've been having some upper right abdominal pain, right under my ribcage. It's a mild to moderate pain that goes away and comes back all the time. I also have pain in my back but I'm not sure if my abdominal and back pain are related. Could this be anything serious? Thanks.
