what did your babies weigh at 26 weeks? I just got back from my growth ultrasound and he's a whopping 2 lbs 3oz! I looked up a chart for average fetal weight and it says the average at 26 weeks is 1.68lbs!

im 25 weeks and today the midwife said my baby is under weight on the chart, he's in the part that 10% of babies weigh and I have to go back in the next week and if he hasn't grown I need to have a scan. has any one else had this?

I thing the growth chart is different for boys, i have a book somewhere around here that has the weight and growth chart on it, the same one they use in dr office to keep record, i will look for it and post it 2mrw nite if you havent found the answer by then, or try googling growth charts and compare it from girls and boys.

It means your baby is in the 67 percentile of all other babies being that weight. it's normal, don't worry about that.

I dont think theres a specific weight ur baby should weight. I mean if a baby is born 9lbs hes gonna weight more then a baby born at 6lbs. And some babies eat more others dont. My niece was under the "chart" weight wise but she was sitting and crawling a lot earlier then most. My sister weights 40lbs at 10yrs old. Shes super tiny but shes still healthy.

I have heard some things about how you can tell if your having a boy or a girl by the bump, cravings, heart beat, weight gain, etc. What are some of yalls experiences and what did you end up having? Because I'm experiencing a mixture of both gender tales.

Umm, so that mean my baby will likely be overweight? As of 6/12 he was weighing approximately 3 lbs .02 onz. If my math serves me correctly he will likely be close to 10 lbs and a few extra onz if I delivery at 40 weeks, OUCH, that's a big baby.

The weight could be off and there are women who deliver 9-10 pound babies vaginally so I don't see why your doctor would be wanting to give you a csection just cause your baby might be measuring a little big

So since I am new to this forum. What are your babies names? When were they born and sizes at birth? Our son was born July 28th. His name is Joel Alexander and he was 6 bls 15 oz and 20 1/2 inches long at birth.

Im 30+2 and i had a growth scan at 28 weeks and babies estimated weight was 1042g, roughly 2.4oz. Under 10th percentile on the growth chart. So they booked me for a scan at 30 weeks. Had scan scan yesterday and babies estimated weight is 1280g roughly 2.12oz. Dropped lower than last point on my growth chart. Have to have placental dopplers twice weekly. Ctgs every second day until my next growth scan at 32 weeks.

All I need to know is that the baby is going to be okay. Does this mean that the baby is not developing correctly, that her weight it just low, or that there may be other problems?

Have any of you had skinny babies? What did you do to get their weight up? If you did supplement with formula did it work? I need help. I am so scared I'm not giving him enough.

Hats off to you for delivering a 9.5 pound baby dear! Is he on his growth chart?? Is your doctor worried about his weight? My baby had gas and reflux and I did a lot of research on it at the time. Many boys actually have an immature sphincter muscle and will spit up almost in a violent way. My son sure did. They outgrow this. I added the gas drops to a bottle a few times a day and that helped.

All babies are different depending on your weight and height also, they are only average. My little girl is 4 lbs 12 and were nearly 34 weeks.

Hi... im 29 weeks today and as of tomorrow need to keep a chart of my babies movements. .. does this mean every single kick and movement I feel or do I count the 2-3 kicks at once as 1 or count that as 3 kicks?

4 on Tuesday and est fetal weight was 4.14... On the growth chart he was 31st percentile. He was in the 30s 5 weeks ago too. Drs said he was perfect size. I wouldn't worry unless you have other indicators he's not growing well.

They won't be able to tell you the weight of your baby (it is always an estimate in scans anyway) but what she will do is measure your belly, they then plot their findings on a chart to make sure that your growning at the rate you should be.

My belly has not gotten any bigger in the last month which worries me about her not gaining any weight. What did your babies weigh around 24 weeks and at birth if you've had them already?
