Avatar f tn ) or any of those types constipate me. I was hoping for a natural suggestion to talk with my doctor about. They are not very informed with natural treatments of things and said they would talk with another doctor and let me know what they want to try next. I figured since I am on here I might as well ask if you know of natural treatments for FM so that I have a list in case they don't!
Avatar n tn Your doctor has no answers for you? If it is strange muscle growth and it is unneeded, can you remove the muscle growth?
Avatar n tn My question is, could this be something to do with the natural growth of a child? It has been happening for approximately a month now. I know that my child needs his psychotropic medication in order to maintain an excellent quality of life. I know he does not need television or video games. I would appreciate any feedback that can be given on this matter. I am more interested in natural cures than popping a quick fix pill.
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried any vitamins for anxiety or panic attacks? Such as Niacin, Valerian vitamin b3, b12 or anything? I was reading up on some things.
Avatar m tn The daily value for vitamins and minerals are based on a 2000 calorie diet. However, my metabolism (observed based on calories in vs weight change as well as energy levels in response to calorie intakes to distinguish between starvation metabolism and actual calorie needs) is much higher than the standard 2000 calories — even starvation level for my metabolism is much higher than 2000 calories. The following are the nutrients that I suspect would have a higher RDI for a higher metabolism.
12323384 tn?1424662913 Also I recently took vitamins for breast growth (all natural of course). They made me feel pretty energetic, anyways I only took them for about a week or so. Since then I got my period (last Thursday as the start) it's been VERY light and sometimes it'll be brown sometimes its be normal color. I also have swelling where my G-spot is supposed to be. It's very swollen. But it doesn't hurt at all, in any way. I feel perfectly normal besides the slight period pains.
Avatar n tn I planning on buying a supplement that contains lysine and arginine pyroglutamate in order to promote growth hormone release, for growth purpose, as well as body building purpose. Having said that, is it unsafe to take this supplement as a 16 year-old male? What are some potential side effects?

879614 tn?1240373128 I don't know if you like natural herbs or vitamins, but I have found more calcium (with magnesium in 2:1 ratio) as well as lots of brewers yeast which is very high is B vitamins, thus helpful to nerve growth and strength, is often preferable to drugs once you start on a program. You should see a difference in a few days and big difference in a few weeks. I hate the taste of brewers yeast, so I buy nutrional yeast pills and just eat by the handfuls. There is no taste to them.
Avatar f tn Depending on how far along you are in your pregnancy will you notice a difference. The prenatal vitamins they say help with hair growth, however I believe its more hormonal changes within you. When you notice your hair growing you will also notice your nails growing faster than usual. I have been taking prenatal vitamins for only 3-4 wks... I would say its more hormonal changes than the vitamins, for myself atleast.

Avatar f tn They can be helpful for many things, but I strongly believe exercise should be a natural process, not one pushed by supplements. That becomes unhealthy too much of the time as you move to more and more unnatural supplements that can work but aren't good for you because you aren't satisfied with the slow results that natural processes produce.
1042487 tn?1275279899 Most of the B vitamins have been recognized as coenzymes, and they all appear to be essential in facilitating the metabolic processes that are essential for life. These vitamins are essential for the breakdown of carbohydrates into glucose, which provides us energy, the breakdown of fats and proteins, which aids the normal functioning of the nervous system, muscle tone in the stomach and intestinal tract, and healthy skin, hair, and eyes.
Avatar m tn We all know that Growth Hormone has a TON of benefits...it helps you build muscle, burn fat, increase bone density (very important as we age), and it's your body's signal to increase IGF-1 production, which is a HUGE driver of lean muscle mass development. Obviously it's something we want to create as much of as we can. The problem is that as we age our GH production decreases dramatically - which is why it gets harder and harder to get and keep muscle and burn fat.
Avatar f tn If you take prenatal vitamins they are rich in folic acid and B vitamins which are great for your baby and have a side effect of increasing your hair growth rate as well as its thickness. Also they will increase the growth rate of your fingernails and skin cells. Many women who are not pregnant take prenatal vitamins to help with thinning hair, weak fingernails, or skin problems.
Avatar f tn Muscle aches, spasms and cramps are a symptom of Thyroid, I took the advice of members of this forum when mine became painful, I started taking 800units of Vitamin D, Viamin B Complex or Vitamin B12 and 400 mg of Magnesium per day, in 5 days my muscle problems disapated to just a small ache in the neck and a minor cramp in one of my calves.
Avatar f tn The only thing that could affect it is if he starts taking steroids. They can cause infertility. There are some supplements on the market that mess with testosterone to simulate steroids without being illegal as well.
