Movable lump above jaw

Common Questions and Answers about Movable lump above jaw

lump

i have a movable lump in my cheek on left side right above jaw line.
) (Please read my above comment too though) When I apply pressure to the larger lump it is slightly moveable, then when I release the pressure the saliva gland located near by, above and behind the lump, squirts saliva out like a shot... This freaked me out a little. lol What the hell is that? *squirts saliva out like a shot* - Like a snake shoots venim...
I also have a swollen lump below my jaw in the right side - it may not be a lymph node - it is possible that it is your submandibular salivary gland. Check with your dentist - they know the anatomy of your mouth and jaw area. Typically the submandibular gland will swell without any pain, whereas swollen lymph nodes typically do exhibit pain of some sort.
He fit me for a temporary mouth guard which is very awkward to sleep so I only tried it for 2 nights. Today I saw a new ENT. She said the lump was my jaw joint. She thought it sounded like a muscle or joint issue I was experiencing and suggested a different type of mouth guard. I also had a salivary gland biopsy (most painful thing ever) to rule out Sjogren's. One parotid duct did not seem to be producing any saliva. So I guess I am at the wait and see point.
I have a smilar problem. For two years, I have had a small marble sized lump under the right side of my jaw. It is firm but not hard (maybe rubbery). It has not changed over the last two years and the are ocassionally feels a bit sore. The lump is high mobile..I can move it from under my jaw, around the other side, and up a bit. It is not in my skin...it is in the neck cavity, below the skin and tissue.
I get some weird sensations sometimesunder my jaw and chin area I noticed a lump in my neck(slightly under my jaw, above adams apple, right side) back in October of 09. I have been seeing an ENT and my family doctor about it and they both said it is 7mm and movable. They also both agree there is nothing to worry about. Blood test recently have shown my thyroid levels are off and I have some nodules on my thyroid.
Very itchy and burns at times. The other day I was rubbing my neck and I felt a lump on the left side of my neck. The lump is movable and is not tender to the touch. It feels rubbery. Now I google this and know I think I have cancer or tb. Then I think I make myself jaw other symptoms- i get very hot at night- I sweat but it's not a soaking sweat. Other than that - I don't feel tired I don't have a fever, and the weight I am losing is from my pregnancy- I still have an appetiate.

Enlargement of a single lymph node (if that's what the lump near your jaw is) virtually always means a localized inflammation, not a systemic illness; and lack of other symptoms (fever etc) also is evidence against ARS. Please accept the reassurance you have been given and work with your own doctor or clinic about lump near your jaw. It isn't due to ARS.
Hello, Four months ago I found palpable lymph node on the left side of my neck, inch below my jaw bone. It is about size of a kidney bean 3mm to 5mm, firm, but not rock hard, little rubbery, movable. When I head straight, it feels very small. When I bend my neck right, feels larger, about described size. No pain, not visible, no swelling, doesn't grows. My GP said it is normal, I stopped thinking about it. Then my anxiety kicked in.
1) It's tender and movable 2) It keeps changing size ... one day it's tiny, the next it's huge, then small again 3) I had some skin irritation on my earlobe, but that's been gone for awhile. Doc said to just keep an eye on it, but I'm wondering what it could be ... cyst? Swollen lymph nodes? Skin blemish/zit?

Sir what is the normal size of the lymph nodes of the side of neck and the front of neck,i can feel two lymph nodes, one in front near the adams apple that is about 1 cm and the one on the left of neck where the jaw finishes is 1-1.5 cm,both are movable and very soft...
26 one is mid point on the neck the 1.65 is just below the back of the jaw. Initially I thought I only had the one behind the jaw, which I just happened to notice one day as it is easily felt. I had noticed some enlargement in the mid neck but did not know it was a lymph node, because it is very hard and fixed. It was not until initial Dr. visit that he said it was a lymph node.

Of course my jaw can modify those sensations, too, and I often find myself tensing my jaw or holding it in odd positions to adjust how my hyoid feels. Visual stress and tension in my neck muscles also feed into this intersection, and any of them can seemingly be exchanged for any other. As a child I was subjected to supposedly therapeutic but painful to wear bifocal glasses, dental braces, the tonsillectomy, and parents who were extremely determined that I never appear arrogant.
About a month later, I woke up one morning to the feeling of a lump, but was nothing more than a pocket of mucus. About 2 weeks later it left and I went about my normal life. These symptoms keep coming and going for about 7 months, then finally they're here to stay. I haven't had any relief from this for about 3 months now. What I "force" up looks like stringy white mucus with little tiny bubbles. I have had many throat exams.
The acromion is the large bursa in the shoulder that protects and cushions the tendons as they glide beneath the shoulder blade. With repetitive activities above shoulder level, overuse, aging or falls, this bursa may become inflamed, producing noises when the shoulder is moved. Pain coming from shoulder bursitis is frequently felt halfway down the upper arm toward the elbow.
