Avatar f tn i have a movable lump in my cheek on left side right above jaw line.
Avatar f tn Can someone help me with finding my thyroid gland..I found a pea size movable lump on what I thought was my thyroid but my doctor said it was just above my thyroid. Does anyone know what part of the throat this is?
Avatar m tn I also have a swollen lump below my jaw in the right side - it may not be a lymph node - it is possible that it is your submandibular salivary gland. Check with your dentist - they know the anatomy of your mouth and jaw area. Typically the submandibular gland will swell without any pain, whereas swollen lymph nodes typically do exhibit pain of some sort.
Avatar m tn Last week I found a pea sized, soft, movable lump under the skin of my neck (near the front center of my throat and its located just under the start of my jaw [at the very top of my throat]). A day or so after finding the lump, I ate dinner and started to feel like something was stuck in my throat. I believe originally the sensation was towards the bottom of my throat, now every now and then (generally after I eat) I get the feeling and it appears to be higher up now (not sure about this).
Avatar n tn I also have noticed that my spit gland located under my ear and in the area of where the jaw hinges is either swollen or has some sort of soft movable lump on it. I am getting headaches too. Could all of this be caused by that impacted wisdom tooth?
Avatar m tn this "lump" im feeling is under my jaw towards the right side. if i relax my whole neck, not even moving my tongue down ( if that makes sence), i cant feel it. i more feel it when i push my tongue up against the back of my bottom teeth. i know this may not make any sense but thats the only way i can describe it. im not sure how long its been there but i did notice it for the first time in late may, early june. and since discovering it, it hasnt gotten bigger.
Avatar f tn The other day I was rubbing my neck and I felt a lump on the left side of my neck. The lump is movable and is not tender to the touch. It feels rubbery. Now I google this and know I think I have cancer or tb. Then I think I make myself jaw other symptoms- i get very hot at night- I sweat but it's not a soaking sweat. Other than that - I don't feel tires, I don't have a fever, and the weight I am losing is from my pregnancy- I still have an appetiate.
Avatar f tn I did a home breast exam and with my hand above my head found this hard grape sized lump directly above my right nipple. When I lay down it moves to the side of my breast- it's not rock hard but it's harder than the rest of my tissue- no nipple discharge dimpling or pain. I'm ovulating and 2 weeks from my period- I do home exams every 2ish months and this is the first time I noticed it. I had a mamagram 1 year ago that was fully clear. Anyone have any insight?
Avatar m tn I thought just occurred to me- and me with TMJ dysfunction, arthritis in the jaw joints and bouts of jaw joint capsulitis! That's right about where your jaw joint is! Perhaps when you are relaxed- the jaw joint does not stick out, but later, if you are more stressed, you might clench or something, making the joint evident?
Avatar n tn s just fibrous tissue or possibly swollen lymph tissue (my gums have been irritated/slightly infected recently). The lump is movable, and feels more pronounced when I clench my teeth. Can anyone please help - it's driving me crazy. Thanks!
Avatar m tn ) (Please read my above comment too though) When I apply pressure to the larger lump it is slightly moveable, then when I release the pressure the saliva gland located near by, above and behind the lump, squirts saliva out like a shot... This freaked me out a little. lol What the hell is that? *squirts saliva out like a shot* - Like a snake shoots venim...
Avatar f tn I have a movable, pea (or smaller) sized lump in (upper) front of my right ear and right on the area where you feel your jaw open when opening mouth wide. It cannot be 'seen'. No pain or change in size for at least 20 years. I found it years ago when massaging a sore jaw joint. It sort of feels like it's in a tendon and in front of the Tragus.
Avatar n tn Hello, Four months ago I found palpable lymph node on the left side of my neck, inch below my jaw bone. It is about size of a kidney bean, firm, but not rock hard, little rubbery, movable. When I head straight, it feels very small. When I bend my neck right, feels larger, about described size. No pain, not visible, no swelling, doesn't grows. My GP said it is normal, I stopped thinking about it. Then my anxiety kicked in.
Avatar m tn t as obvious as my left right side almost looks flat. but nothing pops up. when i press the lump, it is movable and soft , it does not hurt and i can fell my pulse beating under it. also the trapezius/ neck muscle on the side of the lump, the right side feels very tight and uncomfortable, and when i tilt my head towards the left, you can see a bunch of string like things popping up under the skins and its under tension. When i tried to press the strings hard, it hurts.
Avatar m tn The mass can also be palpated with fingers, and it is somewhat rubbery but at the same time firm, and not very movable (although it is somewhat movable, but in a limited manner). This mass does not hurt when pressing on it, neither does it cause me any pain . I remember having this mass for at least 1.5 years, although I am not sure if it was the same size or it was smaller. I've posted the echo ultrasound picture of this unidentified mass in my profile under the pictures (http://www.

Avatar n tn Hi. Can you provide some additional descriptions of that lump? Is it movable or is it fixed against the surrounding tissue? What is its consistency? Hard and bony like your ribs? Or soft and jelly-like? It's too early to tell at this point what that lump is, but if it's soft and movable, it may be a non-cancerous condition like a lipoma (a lump consisting of fat cells) or an epidermal inclusion cyst (an accumulation of oily secretions from skin glands that have been blocked).

Avatar f tn I am 19 years old male, just saw a lump 2 inches above the collar bone near throat. There is no external swelling on normal condition but while exercising with weights or shrugging shoulder with weight causes a swelling. But not all the times. While trying to feel the node its felt very small, and very movable. Recently done CBC and report came all normal except high rbc count low mch, mcv and high rdw. Haemoglobin is 12.8 while normal range is 13.4 to 15.4.
Avatar m tn t get it at all. Some days ago i noticed a small soft movable lump on th right side of my neck right above my collar bone.I have no idea what it can be.The pain that i get worries me the most it's strong .This lump is giving me also a sholder discomfort like little burning sentation (that one that you get after a regular child vaccination).
Avatar m tn Well about 5 years ago maybe more at the age of 9 I found a lump behind my right ear it was movable and was absolutely painless I forgot about it and didn't tell anybody because I was so young.

Avatar n tn No, none of this suggests ARS. Lymph node inflammation in ARS is body-wide. Enlargement of a single lymph node (if that's what the lump near your jaw is) virtually always means a localized inflammation, not a systemic illness; and lack of other symptoms (fever etc) also is evidence against ARS. Please accept the reassurance you have been given and work with your own doctor or clinic about lump near your jaw. It isn't due to ARS.
