Avatar m tn Well about 5 years ago maybe more at the age of 9 I found a lump behind my right ear it was movable and was absolutely painless I forgot about it and didn't tell anybody because I was so young.
Avatar m tn Over the last month a have a lump behind my ear, it's been growing a lot every week. It's now about the size of my ear lobe. It's right behind the lobe where jawbone crease is. It's sore but not painful at all an it's firm but seems kinda soft on top. Basically it's not soft or hard.. Kinda medium. I have had a gullbladder infection (or so the ER told me) a few months back. It's just growing so fast and I keep getting headaches everyday:( I have no insurance so can't afford to see doc atm.
Avatar m tn I have a semi-hard lump directly behind my ear resting on the bone right behind my ear. It feels almost like cartilage. It used to be about the size of a pimple, but it just keeps getting larger. I recently checked it and it is about an inch in length now. The lump occasionally itches and seems to just keep growing. It doesn't hurt at all and is slightly movable. Any thoughts on what this might be??? Anyone worried??
Avatar n tn hello okay so i had this hard lump behind my ear that was painless and movable. I had it for a couple months but since i had just gotten my ear pierced and it got infected i thought maybe it was a swollen gland due to the infection in the piercing, so I took it out. It went down almost completely for about a week. and then i got like a zit inside my ear, and the lump is back. its really hard but its movable. I have a Dr. appt. this thursday but im just looking for some guidance.
125112 tn?1217277462 Hi there, About 5 years ago my husband noticed a hard bump (non movable) right behind my right ear, in the bony area. Thought nothing of it but would mention it to the ENT. He walked away muttering, questioning mastoiditis. These last few years, I have developed another firm, non movable lump just under it but oddly, it seems to reduce in size a little. They are near perfectly round. They do not hurt and no discoloration of the skin. Occasionally my ear aches just a little on that side.
Avatar m tn I have a lump behind my left ear. It hasn't hurt for the first days I noticed it. but it is slowly starting to become more painful to the touch, and even when I'm not touching it. It's about pea-size. Hard, and not movable. If anything else I also suffer from lost appetite, and little nausea, I get headaches sometimes too if that means anything. That's it. I'm 20, and female.
Avatar n tn I have a bump behind my ear about the size of a pea, its not hard and is easily movable.
Avatar n tn Hello, The lump behind the ear on the head may be due to the trauma inflicted by the studs because it came up the following day when you forgot to take your studs off. What is the size and constituency of the lump (soft, fleshy, firm, rubbery, or matted). Is it movable or fixed? Most lumps in that site are due to infections or benign tumors of soft tissue origin.
Avatar n tn Doctor, For the past 5 months or so I have noticed a small lump behind my left ear. This bump is on the bonde behind the ear (NOT the front of the face). The lump is hard, fixed, and not movable. It causes me no pain, and is about the size of a small pea. I have been playing with it lately, and do not think it has changed it size, and if it has it has been very minimal. About 2 months ago I had a doctor check it out, and the GP said that he didn't think it was anything to be concerned about.
Avatar f tn But, aside from that I have had a bump behind my hear for about a year. (its not on the ear itself, its on the bone behind the ear.) And they said it was a cyst and gave me antibiotics, and they made it worse. And the doctor said it wasn't my lymps. It will swell up and i will get dizzy and light headed and have alot of severe pain, and then the next day it will be fine. so... I have no idea whats going on.
Avatar n tn Hi All, I am a 23 year old female and about 3 months ago I found a hard, immovable lump behind my right ear. There is one behind my left ear too but it is much smaller. I went to my Dr and he said it was just part of my normal anatomy. I wasn't convinced. I went to see another Dr who said the same but done a blood test anyway. The results came back clear.
Avatar n tn i have a large hard lump on the bone behind the ear, i feel light headed, this lump is not painfull but getting bigger does anyone know what this could be, and should i call a doctor.could you please help with this question...
Avatar f tn Hi Welcome to the MedHelp forum! It is difficult to comment without examination. Lump behind the ear could be an abscess, folliculitis (hair follicle infection), lipoma (localized collection of fat), a cyst, an inflamed lymph node or a neurofibroma (localized harmless swelling in of nerve and connective tissue). In all probability abscess and folliculitis is ruled out. A CT scan would be diagnostic. Since you have dry scalp, watch the lump. Do not touch everyday but once in 10-15 days.
Avatar n tn i have had acne for awhile and it is starting to recede which is awesome, but the pimple im concerned about is behind my ear. it hurts to move my head and it doesnt have anything to pop. it is huge and moveable and practically appeared overnight. its not getting any smaller and suddenly i got a soar throat. i never get sick so im wondering if the two are conected, since they are both glands, or do i just have a super pimple? Anything to help speed up its life process?
Avatar n tn My lump nodes in my neck and behind my ears are swollen they hard as a rock and non movable. Iwent to the doctor she said its not strep, not an ear infection and not mono. She took blood and im waiting for results. What could it be? Should I be worried?
Avatar f tn My nephew, age 5, in the past few days, has suddenly sprouted up in boils on his legs, face, pelvic region, and most recently, his sinuses are enlarged, leaving him with a runny nose, and has a hard lump behind his ear the size of a twenty-cent coin. When the lump is touched, it doesn't hurt him, but it is movable in a small area. I am unsure whether this is a cyst, lymph nodes, cancerous, or something else, but I'm hoping someone does and can help.
Avatar n tn I am so glad I found this forum. My almost 11 month old daughter has a hard lump behind her right ear and has had it since birth. I was told it was just the way her head formed and not to worry. I got a second opinion and this doc said to keep an eye on it because it does seem to move. It hasn't gotten any bigger and it doesn't cause any pain to my knowledge. We are going in for her 12 month visit and I am going to request an Xray just to put my mind at ease!
Avatar f tn Hello recently i am having a pinching pain in the right side of the back of my neck so i kinda touched my neck and i found inside the muscle just below ear and behind jawline a hard like rock immovable lump. im having also kinda the same in the left side but this one seem more swollen. The lump is inside the muscle in the back of my neck so you kinda have to dig in to touch it.
Avatar n tn my 1 year old has a soft movable lump behind her right ear.
Avatar n tn The lump on my neck isn't behind my ear - but below my ear at the base of my neck. And I've had it for about three years - it started small and grew to its current size, then stopped growing. I'm doubt that changes your suggestions, but just in case... And to answer your questions - I would say that it is firm and definitely fixed. I can move the skin over it, but not the actual lump. Thanks for your thoughts.
210459 tn?1197085792 About two and a half years ago my father felt a lump on the left side of his throat about two inches below his ear. It seemed to be growing so he went to the doctor and had a CT scan. And yes it turned out to be cancer. A squeosma (spelling?) cell carcenoma. The best guess is that it was from cancer cells that migrated to his neck from a spot of skin cancer that he had removed from just infront of his left ear.
Avatar m tn com/attachments/medical-conditions-diseases/5731d1199427054-tiny-red-bumps-upper-under-arms-elbows-hands-tiny-red-bumps-arm.jpg I have a hard lump behind my left ear that is painless and movable. I also have a few bumps (could be from shaving) on my outer vagina. They look white. I also have a sort of white pigment spots on my arms and on the palms of my hands. What could this mean?
Avatar m tn It is about the size of a pinto bean, movable, and somewhat soft. It is one inch below her hair line (behind her left ear) . It has grown, but it is more like it is growing with her. It is the same size proportionately from when she was born. I have seen a pediatrician, Family practitioner, and a pediatric surgeon. So far everyone says that it is probably a lymph node and nothing to worry about.
Avatar n tn Hi. Can you provide some additional descriptions of that lump? Is it movable or is it fixed against the surrounding tissue? What is its consistency? Hard and bony like your ribs? Or soft and jelly-like? It's too early to tell at this point what that lump is, but if it's soft and movable, it may be a non-cancerous condition like a lipoma (a lump consisting of fat cells) or an epidermal inclusion cyst (an accumulation of oily secretions from skin glands that have been blocked).
Avatar m tn sometimes just leaving a dull ache sometimes lasting for 4 or so days. I have a large, hard lump behind my ear (omg - the tinnitus is crazy awful!) / back of neck that does not got smaller from it's current baseline, but it grows in elevation and gets hot when things flare up. The right side of my face of also swollen in the same fashion - the swelling is hard and not movable. Three years ago my right arm started swelling (a thick, barely movable jello like thing).
636986 tn?1226102020 At that stage it was quite small. It is near his shoulder and is movable, but quite firm as the rabbit vet said it is in or behind the muscle. She is not happy to remove it given the rabbits medical background, Ecuniculi, seizures, gut stasis. I have been doing Moxibustion on it every other day. I found a natural tablet called Polmirex. What I want to know is it safe for rabbits as I know lots of things are lethal for them. Someone also suggested Silica. Is this safe.
Avatar n tn I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired. What do I do!? PS I also have a hard lump right behind my ear, right where my ear meets my head it's painless and movable. I haven't lost weight, I do 45 min of cardio 3 times a week, I had a mystery rash (circular itchy bruises) 3 years ago that went undiagnosed. Blood work is all normal. Have small petachae on stomache (2). Muscle pain.
