Lump behind left testicle

Common Questions and Answers about Lump behind left testicle

lump

I have recently noticed a small-ish (maybe less than pea sized) hard lump or mass behind and slightly above my left testicle. I havent had any pain of serious note, no swelling, redness, etc and the lump is NOT ATTACHED to the testicle. It almost feels like it is on the tube that connects the testicle to my body. Could this be a cyst? Is this just the epididimys? I dont feel it (or it's not as large) on the other one. I can also see slightly bulging if i look closely underneath.

the bump that hurts is not on the testicle, but seems attached by chords, veins. Now this lump behind the right testicle is also found behind the left, however the one behind the left does not hurt. The pain is on the right side. Again, dull pain in lump behind right testicle. the testicle itself does not hurt. any thoughts on what this could be. HHH could not think of something but i thought I'd ask a urologist for more advice.
Hi, I found a lump on the top of my left testicle a few days ago. It feels firm, and is smaller than pea size. It's painless, and I don't think I've had any discomfort in my testicle or anywhere in the groin area. As far as I can tell there's no swelling. What are the chances that this is cancer, and what else could it be? The left testicle hangs lower than the right, but I'm pretty sure it has done that before. It doesn't seem to be too large either.
small lump in epididymus of left testicle with slight ache after touching not grown at all in a month ??
Brief history: 4th Grade I developed a torsion on the testicle in question. As a teenager I found a BB sized lump around the top near but not on the epididymis(SP?) Went to a Urologist and was told it was scar tissue from the torsion. Within the last week my the area around the back side of my left testicle has been feeling as if it's been "falling asleep." Also I've been feeling a very dull aching sensation but only with the left testicle.

My left testicle seems lower and leans forward compared to the right one, I have a lump of vains behind/under the testicle and it seems swollen. I have had a little ache and slight discomfort for a day or so, Would the pain be unbearable if It were testicle torsion?
I have the same pain from the left testicle that goes to the lower left abdomem(between leg and belly area), if I press my left lower abdominal area and sims my left testicle disconfort to get better for a while(maybe im pumping blood on it dunno lol), also I have a lump on my left testicle. Did a doopler ultrasound and the doc said to me I had a varicocele, but Im afraid about the lump.
I have exactly the same symptoms - pain in the left testicle, buttocks (mostly left), and lower left abdomen. I had it for several months. Doctors are clueless. On the top of that, I have a growing PSA, it grew 50% over the last year, and is now at 1.5. Taking into account the other symptoms, I insisted on a biopsy (it will be performed soon), though the urologist thought that it was still to low to warrant a biopsy.

It moves around easily and is not painfull. When in a relaxed state, it appears to rest behind the left testicle. After reading many post in this board, I decided to test it and see if it was translucent. Light shines through it with ease. What do you think this is?
Hello. I found a lump on my left testicle, which didn't hurt at first, but lately it has become painful. Of course, I am not 100% certain that the lump is related to the pain, this is just something I have assumed. It also feels like the pain continues down my left leg to my knee (but again, I'm just assuming the two pains are related). I did go to see the doctor, but during the (very short) examination she did, she couldn't feel any lump.
Yesterday, I noticed a lump in the scrotum, near the left testicle about the size of a pea. It moves around easily and is not painfull. When in a relaxed state, it appears to rest behind the left testicle. After reading many post in this board, I decided to test it and see if it was translucent. Light shines through it with ease. What do you think this is? Note: I'm not the doctor, so keep checking back for their answer.

What do you think this is? Note: I'm not the doctor, so keep checking back for their answer. If it moves freely, is not ON a testicle, and can be transilluminated, then I very much doubt that it is anything other than a benign cyst. If you are concerned, you should ask your doctor about it.
A little history - about a year ago I had a spermatocele/cyst appear on top of my left testicle. At the same time my left nipple developed a mass behind it, so it was a little cancer scare. Everything turned out to be fine after ultrasound. Now I have developed a hard lump behind my right nipple, and about a month ago I started having some occasional pain in the left testicle (like I also had before the spermatocele appeared).

If the mass is not a part of the testicle it is highly likely it is benign.
I think the doctor may think i am a hyperchondriac as i had a ultrasound six months ago for a large lump behind my left testicle which turned out to be swollen spermadic cords and this is the reason why he is not concerned this time? - do you think this could be true? He also said that the lump would be larger and would also continue to grow until very noticable? is this true that the lump itself would continue to grow?
If you are familiar with this structure, you won't mistake it for a suspicious lump. Cancerous lumps usually are found on the sides of the testicle but can also show up on the front. Lumps on the epididymis are not cancerous. If you find a lump on your testicle, see a doctor, preferably a urologist, right away. The abnormality may not be cancer, it may just be an infection. But if it is testicular cancer, it will spread if it is not stopped by treatment.
Over a week ago I had some slight tenderness coming from my left testicle. When I checked it I noticed a firm round mass directly on top of the testicle. It is perfectly round, smooth, and about the size of a marble. It feels like it is attached to the epididymis and separate from the testicle, and is mobile. My GP felt it and said it is probably an epididymal cyst, but has sent me for an ultrasound to confirm.
Hi, I recently noticed a small lump in my scrotum on the left hand side. It is about 3mm in diameter not on the testicle itself, but above it, in amongst the mass of tubes where the enter the body, to the left of and behind of the base of the penis. It seems to be part of one of the tubes there and is hard like cartilage. I cannot locate a similar lump on the right hand side so I presume it should not be there. Do you have any ideas what this could be and should I go to see the GP?
The first lump I notices when I was 15, my right testicle was about twice the size as the other, this was not normal. I was worried for a while but the size went back to normal so I wrote it off. Since then it has grown and shrunk many times. Next I notices a hard lump on my lower abdomen, followed by another on my upper abdomen. Then I found a marble size hard lump on my fore arm half way to the hand.
I have had a lump under my left testicle for 6 years or so and I am 26 now. When I first saw the lump I got scared and got tested for STD's, showed up negative for all, and it never gave me problems so I just gave him a name (THE BRAIN) like a pet and just lived with it, never telling my doctor (since i had no doctor). But just last week I knew my pet pal THE BRAIN was my worst enemy when I was lifting something heavy and fell to the floor almost in tears from the extreme pain.
45 Over the last 9 months, my left teticle appears to have become larger than the right testicle, and a marble size mass has appeared behind (posterior) to the left testicle. I assume that the mass is the epididymis or attached duct. Is this most likely inflammation of both structures, or something more serious? I will make an appointment to see a urologist, but that usually takes some time, so I am seeking advice in the interim. Posted by HFHS M.D.
I have a lump on the left side of my neck, just above the shoulder. It's tender to the touch, and is about the size of half a golf ball. I assume it's just a cyst or something, but what's worrying me is that for the last year I've have had chronic, yet weak kidney, lung, testicle and abdominal pain. It doesn't really help that I'm overweight, but yeah, just letting you know. I've had an increase in small moles on my neck, including one where the lump is located.
43 I have the same thing, was wondering if a Spermatecele was a hard lump over left testicle. It is about the size of a pea or so, not that big. Will be going to doctor soon to check it out. Respond if you can help.
ON 20/02 I WENT TO MY GP FOR A LUMP I FOUND ON MY LEFT TESTICLE. HE DECIDED IT WAS A CYST OR AN INFECTION (SOFT AND MOVEABLE). THE CYST HAS SORT OF GONE BUT I AM LEFT WITH A LOT OF PAIN. IVE HAD A BLOOD TEST (FOR INFECTIONS AND CANCER), AN ULTRA SOUND AND HAVE BEEN TO 2 SPECIALISTS AND HAVE BEEN ON 3 COURSES OF ANTIBIOTICS (THE LAST LOT A 15 DAY COURSE). DAILY I HAVE A LUMP ON THE BOTTOM OF THE TESTICLE WHICH COMES AND GOES.
