Common Questions and Answers about Jaw pain heart murmur

jaw-pain

Avatar f tn t know if that has anything to do with the chest and jaw pain. Do you know if it does? With the heart murmur I have, I heard a whooshing on the echocardiogram and I could have a leaky valve. But I will know more once the results come back. I will keep you posted. Not feeling well at all. I am very tired and I get lightheaded at times and I get weak.

Avatar m tn My main concern is jaw pain. After short periods of running I am experiencing pain, specifically around my joints. After doing some light background research I saw this this could be linked to heart disease. Before anyone responds a few points should be made. -I was tested extensively for heart issues when I was 4 due to a benign heart murmur. - I have scoliosis which causes one of my legs to be approx .25 inches shorter than the other. I require the use of a lift in one shoe.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure what a heart murmur and IBS has to do with swollen nodes, but perhaps there's a link...I don't know. I can't say I've ever heard that combination before, but I'm not a doctor either(just a patient). I hope you find some answers soon.
Avatar n tn I know. All I was doing was making it clearer in case the poster has a known murmur and now has chest pain. I didn't want the situation where someone would think "I know I have a murmur but this pain can't be my heart because it's highly unlikely to get pain with a murmur". Any pain should be investigated.
Avatar f tn I have open heart 4 years ago they replaced 5 arteries I went for my yearly check up and now have a heart murmur is this normal to get so long after surgery and can the murmur be why I am sleepy all the time
Avatar m tn Heart murmur is still there and it hurts when she plays basketball and sometime when she is doing anything.
Avatar f tn Shortness of breath, feeling faint, frequent urination, swollen feet and ankles, fatigue, heart murmur, chest pain, dizziness, heart palpitations are all symptoms of a leaky valve. If left untreated it can damage all the chambers of the heart or cause enlargement of the heart. I recommend you see your doctor and get a referral to a Cardiologist so the tests can be run to determine the severity of your leaky valve.
Avatar f tn My BP has always been good. I have just walked up a normal set of stairs and it reads 113/78, but my pulse rate was 135 and I could feel my heart thumping in my chest. An hour later and I have just been sitting working at my computer, and my BP is now 96/74 which is quite normal for me. My pulse rate is still 93, so I feel it's still too high. I have been a bit stressed with work over the past few weeks, could this account for my high pulse rate? I am 58 years old, don't smoke or drink.
492329 tn?1290883385 , nuclear stress test (10/01/08) heart caths (10/18/05 and 10/01/08), Echo (01/19/09), Stress/Echo (12/30/09), Carotid Doppler (01/06/09 and 07/13/09), chest x-ray and blood/urine test galore. CNY Cardiology did the initial testing because of jaw pain. Could they have missed something, is this angina, what do you think is going on?
Avatar f tn of blood being pumped through my heart, hard to breath during the pain, and sometimes when the pain is really bad it feels like knives being stabbed in my heart. Now being in the military i've had to lie about my murmur, i want to know if this can be dangerous for me in the future, should i see a doctor, and if i see one can i have my medical records not to mention anything about it..... sometimes when the murmur gets bad, and the pain drops me to the floor, and i cant breath.
Avatar m tn All this to say my doctor told me to see a Cardiologist because he said i have a heart murmur. He asked if i was born with this I was not.... I do have chest pain feels deep in my heart especially in the morning when i awake. I already consulted last year for this and the doctor told me not to be alarmed it was probably a pulled muscle. Can anyone please help me understand about this heart mur mur? thank you.
Avatar n tn Many years ago I was diagnosed with a minor heart condition (heart murmur/floppy valve) although it has caused me no problems since. For over 10 years I have been taking amoxycylin before dental scaling etc to prevent infections and wondered whether this was still necessary as a precautionary measure.
1165613 tn?1263003557 There are different grades of heart murmur. Yours must be very mild as is mine. If it was more severe, they would have sent you to a cardiologist somewhere along the line to have your heart checked (valves, heart size, etc.). From what you're telling me, your murmur is just something they can hear but not of great concern. The next time you have to see a doctor, you can ask how your heart murmur is doing. They'll check it to make sure it's still in the "mild" range.
Avatar f tn Most murmurs can only be heard with the assistance of a stethoscope. A murmur may be heard in a normal heart, and may not necessarily caused by a structural defect in the heart itself. Murmurs may also be the result of various problems, such as narrowing or leaking of valves, or the presence of passages between chambers of the heart. Elevated blood pressure may not be related to the murmur.
Avatar f tn For the past year or so I have been getting a stabbing pain in my heart. And at random my heart will beat faster or will slow down and will beat hard for a few beats. I do have anemia, and when I was little(1-4 years of age) the doctors said i had a heart murmur. I'm 16, 5'2" 95-103lb(my weight changes alot) I don't get stressed that often I do work out. And so I was wondering if i should be worried and is there any heart diseases that I could have.
Avatar n tn I recently had a pre-op physical and the Dr. not my normal Dr. picked up a heart murmur. I have had a history of SVT and on Atenalol.
Avatar n tn No, it's not bad news. It's good news that this was found and that you can get it checked out. A lot of people have heart murmurs that are considered "benign;" in other words the heart murmur doesn't mean anything and won't hurt the person. The reason for you to see a cardiologist is to make sure that's all it is. Probably you will go once and not need to go back.
Avatar n tn t know exactly in which a probe is taken down through a mouth into the stomach to see the heart murmur. From these tests, it has been detected that it is heart murmur. I just want to ask that what negative effect is in future of this if I don't operate it timingly. According to my Doctor, he says that it is by birth and it is on the right side of heart which is indeed abnormal but there is no need of intervention.
7748835 tn?1393868668 Okay. Well I'm Madison, and I'm 17 years old. I have history of asthma, heart murmur. & nothing else that we know of. I've noticed that I'm paler than normal. I also bruise easily. I've even had a couple bruises on my back and wrist for no reason. I've had a couple bloody noses, very heavy periods and my gums bleed when I brush them (I do not brush them very hard.) I've had headaches almost every single day. I pass out when I stand up.
Avatar f tn I suppose a lung pain could be confused with a heart pain. Good luck with the docs this week, and get well soon.
Avatar f tn Yesterday I met with the primary care, and she said my heart murmur was 3/6 systolic ejection murmur. A ECG was performed, and was relatively normal, though she did notice inverted T waves, which she dismissed as "probably nothing" I have an appt. for an echo on Wednesday, but as you can imagine I am extremely nervous as to what this new diagnoses means. Doctor Goggle is definitely not helping, and is only increasing my anxiety level.
Avatar f tn The only reason why I am concerned is because I have both chest and jaw pain and those are heart attack symptoms. I also have pain in both my arms. A couple days agobefore I went to the doctors I had sweating, pressure in chest, and trouble breathing Is that why the EKG came back normal because those symptoms were gone at the time?
Avatar n tn hi, im 24 and recently found out i have a systolic heart murmur. i know what a heart murmur is, but im not really sure what it means for me. is it something i should worry about? iv had an ecg done and i havnt got the results yet but i think it looked like it was reg sinus rhythm.
1460096 tn?1285740683 I started to have slight pain in the left side of my chest. Almost like someone was pinching my heart. Lately the pain has become worse. Lasting longer and more frequent. I know there are different types of murmur's, but according to my fiancee it sounds like my heart skips a beat. He is no doctor, this is just from what he hears when listening to my heart beat. Also the pain jumps from one side to another, all on the same left side of my chest but jumping to random spaces.
Avatar f tn He examined me and was concerned about the sound of my heart and said he heart what was a systolic heart murmur. He sent me for a chest X-ray, which I have had and am awaiting results. The cough has improved a little after four days of antibiotics but it's still wheezy and it hurts/aches to take in deep breaths on the right side of back just under my shoulder blades. So, I'm turning into a hypochondriac. Anyone know what this is???? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
1303813 tn?1303159362 Well first I don't understand how seeing a doctor would result in loss of employment, or for that matter that the employer would even know - don't tell. There is really nothing you can do that is better than get your partner in to see a doctor. You are listed as in the UK, so medical care is provided by your government, right? Thus, the cost should not be a consideration if one is looking for reasons not to do the correct thing. You mention murmur, and I wonder how that is known.
