For me it helped because Neurontin started to cause me bad hair loss and awful fluid retention and thus weight gain and made my whole body heat up like it was being cooked from the inside out.But yes I still loved the way it made me feel.I would mess up constantly and get down on myself but just expect that you will mess up sometimes but dont wallow too long and try to get right back on track.

Doctor mentioned that it is Cirrhosis, as My mother has a. Ruptured liver texture b. Loss of apetite c. Fluid retention in Abdomen d. Fluid retention in legs 5. Jaundice (Serum Bilirubin) Also he mentioned that all these symptoms belongs to Liver Cirrhosis 3rd stage, still in Compensated stage. Now, Since Liver is not functioning properly as still Jaundice is there, Doctor suggest that there cannot be any medication given and we have to wait and watch how liver behaves from now on.
Hmm Im not a doctor so take my suggestions with a grain of salt but ill try :) . Is the skin hard? Is your leg like..swollen and skin taunt? If its a yes, you might be retaining fluid in the leg? Thats what all I got is fluid retention and since its your "bad leg" id go to say you have less blood circulation in that leg? Id talk to the doctor and see what he says. The only reason I am eating is to keep me from taking over the counter pain meds, such as tylenol and motrin plus not to mention my gabapentin on empty so my stomach want become upset. pain is not our friend and can really effect our physical and emotional well being, I will not take antidepressants because of the nasty side effects. although I have tried nortryptiline 25mg when I was first diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2003.
I have gotten small red bumps on my thighs and buttocks that coincide with being run down and itchy, but they don't have any fluid in them and seem to be under the skin and usually singular. Some of them lasted for over a month. I've never had any rashes or bumps on my genitals, but did have a slightly painful bump on my perineum at one point. They're never in clusters and I don't know if they can be swabbed if they don't have fluid or crust. They don't really seem like blisters.

I hope the neurontin works, too, after I got home from work last night, both of my legs were swollen again. I got put back on my water pill full time so I hope that it helps with the fluid retention, if that's why they are swollen. The neurontin is taking it time working, very slow, not like the quick acting Lyrica. My hands hurt a lot yesterday. I used a remedy that I use for a headache but never thought of for my hands or any other body as far as that goes.

I have been to about 30 doctors- including ENT's allergists, neurologists, chiropracters, opthamologists. psychologists, dentists and everything else u can think of. All CT scans, MRI of brain and blood work keep coming back clean and ok. Nothing I try seems to work. Bladder difficulties sometimes urinary retention and other times complete lack of bladder control( never lasting more than 3-4 days at a time. I had a few sessions of Acupuncture which releived a lot of my symptoms,especially the tingling and burning you might want to try that to see if you get any relief, I had the Gabapentin and Lyrica and all that stuff too nonthing worked so I stopped taking it and finally got so frustrated by no one coming up with answers that I went for Acupuncture and very glad i did. Phew I'm worn out now hahahaha!!
5 days. Ugh! They did get results to the scan..which only showed fluid retention under the muscle and skin.... :( this frustrates me, because I have no clue if the reason why it still hurts. I have also been running a low grade fever since surgery. 99.9 to 101.4 ??I over all feel ok just achy and some pain....so if anybody has been experiencing this,or had it figured out please share! I never really knew what hell was until my disease process started. I think the worst part hasn't been the pain, it's been the lack of answers from the medical authorities on what is wrong with me. My b6 blood level was 81 - the maximum safe level in this test was 32. When reading about b6 toxicity one reads about tingling hands and feet and being "wobbly on your feet" and things of that nature. It can be much more than that. Be careful with Vitamin b6. It's not known if the neurological damage is reversible. Some studies show it is, some show it is not.
