fibromyalgia

1435611 tn?1283621780 I am 33 and have been having GI problems since I was about 17 or 18. No matter what I eat, I am running to the bathroom within 30 minutes. There is severe cramping along with this mad dash for the bathroom. I get bloated for no reason at all, there is almost a constant "gurgling" in my intestines and they are also full of air. I recently had an ultrasound and the Dr told me it was gallstones.
Avatar f tn It lasts up to 2 days each time and symptoms are not the usual hives, sickness or diarrhoea but a hangover/morning sickness, nausea, brain fog, poisoned feeling through my veins and my eyes go yellow. I’ve ruled out : fibromyalgia, bad gut health, menopause, mental health and anxiety as I’ve tried treatments for most but no luck.

1943695 tn?1324041042 I recently had my gallbladder removed (almost 2 months ago). Even though I'm only 15, average height, and 98 pounds (female) ; and the people who usually get their gallbladders removed are overweight women between the ages of 30 and 50.
Avatar f tn Thank you for your comments. All blood tests have been normal except for white. I had a hysterectomy 35 years ago and have taken low dose of Premarin since. After weighing pros and cons of hormone replacement for me, all doctors have said to continue meds. Also said that I won't have to go through symptoms of menopause. Next test will be ultrasound of stomach. For the last month, maybe longer I've had painful symptoms of gallstones.
Avatar n tn hi. I have gallstone symptoms is been a year now. But abnominal ultrasound is clear it doesn't show anything. What can I do? Is this possible to have symptoms but nothing showed.
Avatar f tn Many people with gallstones have never had any symptoms and are detected only during a routine x-ray, abdominal surgery, or other medical procedure. A large stone can block the cystic duct or common bile duct and lead to cramping pain in the middle to right upper abdomen.3 years is a too long time for a person to remain undiagnosed from gallstones. Gallstones might have developed a few months back. This is only speculation.
Avatar n tn I have been getting discomfort in the middle of my stomach which it radiates under my both wing bones. It last around 3 to 4 hrs and leaves spontaneously without feeling sick. I had an ultrasound and my doctors aid everything is fine, there were small gallstones and don't worry. Also there was some fat around the liver. He says don't worry, but I am worries. It doesn't always happen, eery so often like around 6 weeks. Wha is causing it.
Avatar n tn I am a 22 year old female and after doing a bit of research it sounds as though I have several symptoms that occur under fibromyalgia. I have had throughout my entire life a bizarre amount of muscle problems and pain. In recent times (last 5-6 months) I have had occasions where my body and skin hurts so much that even my shirt is hurting it. This isn't an everyday, or even every week, event but it has happened probably 5 or 6 time.
Avatar f tn Just wondering if anyone else had experienced gallstones when pregnant. Im 37 weeks and have been experiencing severe pain under my right rib for the last 3 weeks. My OB sent me for an abdominal ultrasound yesterday and has just phoned to say that they found several small stones.
Avatar f tn The symptoms you describe, bloating and pain of your abdomen are common symptoms and usually not a sign of serious disease, such as cancer, in a woman your age. However, since more serious disease is a possibility and since you have not had relief from the prescribed medicine, it would probably be wise for you to have more testing to be sure that nothing bad is happening and might also provide information that could lead to more effective treatment.
Avatar n tn At first, most gallstones do not cause symptoms. However, when gallstones become larger, or when they begin obstructing bile ducts, symptoms or "attacks" begin to occur. Attacks of gallstones usually occur after a fatty meal and at night. The following are the most common symptoms of gallstones. However, each individual may experience symptoms differently.
Avatar f tn Thanks so much for taking the time to think about my questions and try and answer them! The only connection between VDD and gallstones is that having the gallstones may make it more difficult for the body to absorb VD and so fixing the gallstones would have possibly fixed the deficiency if you see what I mean. On 16th Feb I finished a 16 day daily dose of 20,000 UI Vit D3.
Avatar f tn i was told i had fibromyalgia a few years ago, after i had a bad car accident. i was put on some heavy things at first,a fenyntol patch.....i stopped that real quick....i was always wacked. then i was on percocet....i hated those to. After a few different drugs I was put on demerol,I HAD THOSE BEFORE FOR GALLSTONES...WITH NO PROBLEMS! A few years have gone by and over this time i have had 3 different docs....most of them went on to bigger things...other than family practise.
Avatar f tn There are multiple idiots across the internet that somehow think the problem is the gallstones rather than a sick gallbladder and give you the idea that you can rid your body of the stones and everything will be OK. Don't believe it. First, the stones are not the problem, they are the result of the problem. The trouble is having a gallbladder that doesn't contract well and bile stagnates there, allowing the stones to form.
Avatar m tn I have very similar symptoms. I have question whether it's the gallstones causing my discomfort. Doctors found stones, but so far I never had an attack. Doesn't matter what I ate. Feel the same. No inflammation. Same bowel movement you describe fairly solid to loose. Feel good when I lie down at night and comes back after waking up. I want to see if you decided to remove your gallbladder and if that helped with your pain.
Avatar f tn Those sound like the symptoms I had with my gallstones. I vomited every morning for 6 months as my main symptom for a long time. I lost a lot of weight. After I got diagnosed I had to wait a week for surgery. At work we had a party, which unfortunately had pizza and the highest fat food on the planet - cheese cake. I had veggie pizza and two bites of cheesecake to be polite (I had no appetite and never ate cheesecake EVER), and that's when I had my first gallstone attack.
Avatar f tn Pain wraps around my back. Does this sound like fibromyalgia pain?? Any thoughts from anyone? I also have constant belching and i don't know why but I think it may be related? I've had two chest x-rays and rib x-rays and abdominal ultrasounds. Now my dr wants to do an endoscopy. Pain is getting worse and I am getting concerned. I'm also having a pulmonary study done this week.
Avatar f tn I am 30 weeks preg and was suffering alot of vomiting after i ate wit a sharp pain under my chest above my bump.. Im waiting on a ultrasound to see if i have gallstones? Did anyone else ever have this or any advice..im kinda scared!
Avatar f tn pylori (which was found before the gallstones were). The first ultrasound showed innumerous gallstones in my gallbladder and 17% EF on HIDA scan. The second ultrasound showed no gallstones 6 months later and 64% EF on HIDA scan. I want to make sure that this is not a gallstone, so I can cross this off my list of possible causes. My gastroenterologist said it's probably air and to ask the radiologist, and the radiologist would not comment and told me to ask the gastroenterologist.
Avatar f tn Hi. I'm a 21 y/o female, & I had a ruptured appendix in November. I had a laparoscopic appendectomy on Nov. 16. I spent a week in the hospital because I was so sick & was diagnosed with peritonitis. Since my appendectomy, I have been nauseous after I eat. I have had intermittent upper & lower abdomen pain, but most recently, it's been upper. I last saw my surgeon in January who said if I didn't feel better, they could do a CT scan.
1187243 tn?1268397011 what are the symptoms of fibromyalgia? how long do you have it? what medicines are used to treat it?
Avatar f tn I wonder if any of your doctors thought of fibromyalgia? The symptoms you have, fatigue, weakness. body aches, IBS are usually seen in patients with fibromyalgia. I have had it for twenty years now and am pretty sick and tired (literally) of going to this specialist and that one. Just food for thought. There is lots of information on the web about fibro. Maybe you should check it out to see if you fit the profile of a person with fibromyalgia.
Avatar n tn I never had any symptoms until 3 weeks ago. While shopping with my young daughther, I was hit with a hard pain in the upper center chest area just under the center of my bra. It definitly scared me. Im 32 with a little extra weight. My first thought was I may be having a heart attack. I gathered myself and got to the hospital asap. They did some test and sent me home with pain meds. I made an appt with my PCP for a follow up. (I just was their and got a clean bill of health the week before).
Avatar f tn Right, but i am asking if anyone had their gallbladder removed to Biliary Dyskinesia and not gallstones and what the outcome was after... obviously I am nervous and confused so looking for support and thats why I am here...looking for for positive and negative to weigh my options.... i see most are due to gallstones on here, so hoping there are a few people on here that may have had same diagnosis as me.
