Early hiv symptoms rash fatigue

Common Questions and Answers about Early hiv symptoms rash fatigue

hiv

Many of the questions we answer on this Forum and also the Freedomhealth Sexual Health Forum relate to anxiety about HIV and also possible early HIV symptoms. One of the main problems in relying on HIV symtoms themselves is that they are notoriously vague and almost all the symptoms may in fact be symptoms of a different disease. The best method always of diagnosing HIV is to have a modern HIV test.
Told to go back on 28th day, which is 28th of Sept to get another done and a 6-week Rapid HIV test. I had all the symptoms of HIV, Presumably due to mind playing games. Hopefully other tests come back negative. I stil lhave tingling feeling just righ below the right jaw. hoepfully that will clear itself off. Thanks to Teak/flow/pleashelp for their confident and reassuring replies to my panic attacks....
Hello sir, may you tell me, this is the early symptoms of HIV or not? About 3 months a go, i had protected sex and unprotected oral sex with a transgender(Male To Female) person. My gums was bleeding that time. Im not sure about her HIV status. After 4 days i get runny nose, 3 days after that and at the night, i get fever, wet cough and very little headache. At that time I slept without wearing clothes. even though i felt chills but my body was sweating.
The symptoms of an HIV infection are often described as ‘flu-like,’ the most common are fever and chills, swollen glands, a sore throat (with or without ulcers), anaemia and rash, particularly on the upper body. Symptoms can also include headaches, fatigue, night sweats and weight loss and an individual recently infected with HIV may also feel nauseous, experience diarrhoea, have swollen and tender joints or a painful or stiff neck.

My sore throat is gone but I am having these itchy feelings after 5 weeks of that encounter. Are these related to HIV early symptoms? Or are these rashes because of the stress caused by these feelings?
Welcome to our Forum. I see that you have asked the same question earlier of Dr. Handsfield and have asked this questions as two separate questions on this Forum. I have deleted your second question on this Forum and have read Dr. Handsfield’ response to you. I agree with what he has said to you. The exposure you describe was no risk for HIV. Even if your partner had HIV and that is unlikely, condom protected sex is safe sex and does not put you at risk for HIV.
hiv is NOT transmitted through oral sex. if you are having health concerns...see your doctor...it's not hiv related.
Clinical splenomegally is not common in early HIV. In fact, most doctors have difficulty diagnosing it. The rash of early HIV does not come and go and is non-specifc. It typically lasts only few days, at most.
As for your encounter, it was no risk First of all, unknown status usually translates to not infected (I would still urge you to ask partner prior to encounters). In addition, there is no risk of getting HIV from performing masturbation on a person with HIV if your partner happened to ahve HIV. This is true even if you have a recent cut, sore or hangnail and no matter how much of his genital secretions you may get on you during the activity.
Nasal / Sinus congestion starting on day 2 and lasting to day 6; 3. Mild fatigue for 4 to 5 days; 4. Mild heat rash inside thigh (like I've had before many times) which appears on day 4 and last only a few hours; 5. Subnormal to normal temperatures (ranging daily from 95.5 to normal) but never a fever; 6. Cough for a few days mostly coughing up congestion but sometimes dry cough lasting for 3 to 5 days.
dark urine, white stools, jaundiced (yellow) skin and eyes, EXTREME fatigue, and probably some other stuff I have long since forgotten as it was almost 40 years ago. Lately, I've read that having a symptomatic acute stage is either a positive predictor for SVR or associated with a slower rate of fibrosis --- forgot which. So, I guess there's some consulation, other than knowing you have hepatitis right away, which most people don't.
The more I've thought back at the timing of all of my issues, I went camping in sub-freezing weather, got sick and have studied more up on Pityriasis Rosea and I fit most of the criteria for the symptoms, type of rash, etc. My rash is almost completely gone and it is 8 weeks from when I saw the first evidence of it today. I guess it just gets the best of you and occupies your every thought. I must say, it truly means a lot and I am very grateful to be able to receive feedback on this forum.
Series of night sweats and mild sore throat, transient itchy rash on chest and abdomen that would come and go in matter of minutes to hours 45 days now and my symptoms have gone. The rash comes and goes in a matter of about 45 minutes, sometimes it's splotchy and not itchy, sometimes it's itchy and solid. It tends to show up in the evening. Have you seen a similar presentation in your experience? I can only imagine it being acute HIV infection or mono.
I'm just stressing out about it and was wondering if these symptoms were something I should be stressing about.
Mike i have a question for you - do u have any idea as to if the pins and needle sensation comes as a late symptom in HIv and that may other symptoms such as fever, rash and diarea are more common. And also do ARS symprotm repeat quite often - say once in 3-4 motnhs etc...
I've had so many of the symptoms of the early stage of hiv I'm very worried if I do come up positive I will be a little confused beacuse I did use protection each time
*Can stress and anxiety mimic all the early symptoms of HIV? Yes. Plus, you have to understand that TRUE ARS symptoms are very commonly seen in SO many other conditions/infections/issues. It's not like HIV has a unique telltale symptom that would be hard to ignore if it presented. Not to mention, the timing of your symptoms (like remar said) would absolutely exclude HIV infection, even if you had HAD a real risk (which you didn't).
While you have had some of the symptoms that have been described to be associated with early HIV infection, the fact is that when such symptoms occur they are typically not due to HIV but due to some other, far more common cause.
i never experienced the rash SYMPTOMS OF EARLY INFECTION LAST FOR 1-2 WEEKS After a month i experienced the diarrhea and lost 8 pounds (from stress i believe) got GAD NOT HIV RELATED It is now 2 1/2 months and i am experiencing burning in corners of mouth and diarrhea.I also feel like i have excess mucas in my mouth.I recently found tiny bumps on my left knee.
Symptoms or lack of symptoms won't tell you your status. Test as you were told above.
Rash happened during this fatigue, but not sure if I had a fever. rash on neck started to clear after 48hrs, but then rash got worse on face and spread further. rash has been present 3 days now but seems to change areas and severity. My wife has had all the symptoms above almost exactly 3-5 days after I had them and with similar severity except the thrush and her rash is on her forearms. We had sex 3 days after my encounter.
However, since I had sex with her, I have had constant dizziness, muscular fatigue, metallic taste in mouth, and folliculitis/ rash on face and knee caps that don't subside with antibiotics. Most concerning, I've had multple night sweats that last for about a week, then subside, to eventually come back a few weeks later (over the last 4.5mo).
You didn't have a risk, so no, they are not early symptoms.
If you wish to rule out the possibility that your current symptoms are due to HIV however, you could test at this time with a combination HIV antibody/HIV p24 antigen test. If your symptoms were due to HIV, the test would be positive. As for your specific questions: 1. Does fever < 2 days too short for ARS or do other symptoms and PEP mean short duration is not material? There are no reliable data on the ARS if a person is taking PEP.
I have gone to two doctors and neither of them brought up HIV, but now that I have become aware of the symptoms of it I am starting to really worry this could be it. How probable is it do you think this could be the case and if not what else could it be?
