In case you haven't been warned, note that doxy will make you more sun sensitive and is also hard on the stomach. I haven't taken it so I don't have personal experience, but have read about these side effects of the med and have consistently read of these completes associated with this med. Good luck!

Doxycycline was prescribed by a NHS doctor in UK after having a blood and skin scratch test. He did not check if i am allergic to anything but only if there is any fungus, virus etc (i guess). She developed a circular rash and fever in late June 2009. Doctor suspected ehrlichiosis, prescribed 30-day doxycycline. My mom also did lyme test right after the rash and fever, that came back negative. After just a few days doxycycline treatment, she does not have any symptom. Taking antibiotics would certainly mess with your test results. So, you should complete your doxycycline regimen first then test in a week or two.

ok unprotected oral 2X in past month. about 2 1/2 weeks ago slight burning during urination. Go to doc on tues. tests neg for UTI and says I most likely have STD and treats me with a shot and 4 pills. symptoms get worse and I go back to him Fri.
