doryx

700212 tn?1240760820 Very common with treatment. Not just the sun but the heat as well. As far as sun block is concerned, try and use a real block like with the Blue Lizard line of sun products uses. That way it works instantly. Fallene Cotz is another good one (check the internet if not local) as it contains only titanium and zinc, both blocks. But in addition to sun blocks you really should cover up with hats, shirts, etc, and ideally just stay in the shade.

Avatar n tn Those sound like normal side effects of prednisone. Nasty drug but can save a dog's life. My golden has been taking 50mg daily for 2 months and the side effects are horrible.
Avatar f tn My wife, Nanette, had liposomal doxorubicin or Caelyx for 6 months (equivalent to 6 treatments) and she had skin darkening. We noticed the change in her complexion midway through this regimen. She applies sun block lotion everytime she goes outside. Kindly watch out for PPE / hand and foot syndrome also, although Nanette didn't have this. This is one of the more popular side effects of this drug. I hope this drug works for you.
Avatar f tn This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088. Doxycycline, like other tetracycline-class antibiotics, can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman.
Avatar m tn My question is, would the increase in acid reflux and stomach pain be a likely side effect of the doxycycline. I know doxycycline can cause acid reflux or stomach pain right after you take it, but could it cause it many hours later? What about the itchy bumps on my arm? I know doxycycline can make your skin sensitive to light, so might that be a skin reaction caused by it?
Avatar f tn Has anyone experienced side effects from this?? I have taken it before but the next day after I took it this time.. I started to get joint pain in knee and elbows real bad with some hand pain..
Avatar n tn Once you take a few doses of a medication and do not develop any side effects like rashes, gastric upset etc commonly associated with the medicine, chances are that you are unlikely to develop other associated side effects. So take this full course or at least for 3 days and watch for any side effects. If there are none, chances are high that you will not have any problems with sun exposure and tanning booths. However one can never really predict these things.
Avatar n tn Based on your history of gastrointestinal problems, I would not recommend doxycycline. Doxycycline works well but can cause sun sensitivity and can cause esophageal reflux (~ heart burn or indigestion). Now, we are down to two choices. First, malarone (atovaquone + proguanil). Malarone is taken daily, begun one day prior to arriving in a malarious area, taken every day while exposed to malaria, and then for one week after you leave the malarious region.

Avatar n tn It is a broad spectrum antibiotic and works by slowing the growth of bacteria in the body. The usual side effects include headache, body aches, skin rash and loss of appetite. (ref: http://www.drugs.com/doxycycline.html) Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn I am pregant for more than 4 weeks, but I have taken Doxycycline Hyclate Tablets for 7 days during pregnancy. Now I am worried about the side effects on my baby. Can I keep pregnant or not?
631676 tn?1333718203 I never had side effects from follistim, but when I took clomid I felt a bit emotional and sometimes I'd get a hot flash.
Avatar n tn Not unbearable but bad enough to see a dermatologist who told me I am alergic to the sun - stay out of sun and wear sun block. I stay out of the sun. It is five years later. I went to a second dermatologist who took a biopsy of one of the itchy bumps that have become a new symptom. She told me I have a drug alergy and I should have my primary physician change my medications. I told her the only drug I take is lorazapam.
