Hello, had some infection fount ecoli in my sperm , my urologist prescribe me doxycycline with bactrim (sulfamethoxazole+trimethoprim) i read about bactrim that helps in e coli ,will doxycycline treat the same? i read that helps with chlamydia and other stds but how about e coli.
I went to a urologist and he told me I had E Coli in my urine (I believe he did a urine test of some kind). There is something strange though. Besides the urinary symptoms, I'm experiencing premature ejaculation (not sure if it's because I laid off the masturbation for a while) and another symptom that freaks me out: Sometimes when I ejaculate, I can't urinate for over an hour.

I had Chlamydia, was tested positive and treated with the two antibiotic pills taken once which seemed to cure it. 6 months on something still didn't seem right so I was tested again but it came back all clear, they also tested for syphilis, gonorrhoea and HIV. All came back clear.
I recently was diagnose with a bladder infection cause by E. coli on , and i didn't get it through sexual intercourse, you know how you usually get it from back to front. I been under treatment. Do I need to treat my husband??. I was wondering what can be the cause of it. And also wonder why it feels like my vagina feel so hot sensation and also burns and itches. Well, you have no need to worry. You shouldn't have E. coli unless you got poop and not a fart on the towel etc. Here is a link to the composition of farts. They are mostly gases as you can tell by the smell methane is one of the components or sometimes hydrogen sulfide. Mostly they are made up of hydrogen and nitrogen. Some sugar breakdown may be in there too. So, despite their smell and that they do come from the breakdown of bacteria and food you should be A-OK.

It sounds to me you have a chronic E. coli infection which is surprising to me. How were you diagnosed with the E. coli? Where is it in your body? E. coli is an Enterococcus and this is what the major food borne infections are. They can be quite serious therefore I would not put off going back to your doctor and getting checked out again...and I mean pronto.
Im 5 foot tall weigh 115 and ride just about any motorcycle you put me on..But here dec. 4th I ended up with e-coli. I am so sorry for your loss. Actually, you can get septic with E. coli. She may have had the E.coli that was in the urinary tract infection get into the blood stream or she could have had a problem with her bowel such as a tear and the E. coli (which is normal in the intestines) get into the blood stream. They would then give antibiotics and try to get rid of the E. coli in the blood. E. coli isn't always food borne. So, it depends on the situation.
Since you know the bacteria is e coli, that points to her not being cleaned correctly after a bowel movement. E coli lives in the lower intestine. When it comes out in feces, sometimes it can be pushed up into the urethra and cause a bladder infection.
It sounds like when you are wiping her clean, some of the fecal matter is going in to the urethra. Try wiping from front to back, so that you aren't dragging any feces over her urethra opening.

Hi im a 37 year old male, that had a recent episode of uretritis that finished causing me a Bacterial Prostatitis by e. Coli the urine culture showed this antibiogram that im adding next. The rectal tact showed a swelled prostate. So mi urologist sent me 20 days of cefuroxime. Also Tamsulosin (alpha blocker) and antiinflamatory medication for the pain.
