I am 7 weeks pregnant and the only symptoms I have is that I feel like a house already and my breast are soar sometimes. This is my second child 9-27-04 was my first boy and I was sick from day one,hives,pregnancy mask and depression until the day I had him. I'm kinda Nervous that I don't feel much. Normal?
Yes! And I think it only gets worse, sorry to say. Tell your Dr, they could give you an antidepressant because if you have depression before/during pregnancy you're more likely to have post partum.

I don't understand -- your profile indicates you're 34 years old and a transsexual. One would assume that by that age you've already gone through the worst of it, so I'm guessing there's more to the story. There's also a difference between suffering depression and being unhappy about your gender. Depression is a condition, it doesn't need a cause. Sadness or lack of fulfillment aren't the same as depression. Some more info might bring helpful answers.
m now wondering if perhaps my symptoms are due to depression or are perhaps exacerbated because of depression. My question is can depression be a purely physical disease? In other words, can one have depression without feeling 'sad' emotionally? I've always been a happy, optimistic person. I have no other major stressors in my life, aside from my present illness. I'm a 30 y/o male with no history of any serious illness. I'm in good shape and have a good social life.
So I'm 19+3 weeks pregnant. At 11 weeks I was hospitalized with severe PPD symptoms, even though this is my first baby. So they called it prenatal depression. From the beginning I havnt felt close or connected to my baby, I figured because I had really bad HG, and then the depression, that that's why.
But now I'm healthy, not sick, not depressed anymore, I find the gender out on the 10th and I seem to not be connected at all still :(
Has this happened to anyone else?
Well there are several types of depression, major depression, chronic depression, bipolar manic depression as examples. Symptoms of depression can include an extreme feeling of sadness, sometimes you can’t sleep or you sleep too much, you cant concentrate, you feel hopeless, you have negative thoughts that you cant control no matter how much you try! you can lose your appetite or sometimes you even gain appetite. You can be easily irritated.
guess we will have to wait and see what the gender is but I think every pregnancy is different.
Unfortunately symptoms and cravings can't tell you the gender, but there is a blood test available that can be done at about 10 weeks and it will tell you the gender.
When I find out the gender I will do cloths and blankets (due date is Dec 26th). This is my 2nd pregnancy and doing this alone because dad left because he didn't want anymore but expected me to get fixed and be on the pill. I was on the pill but they of course aren't 100%. Told him if he didn't want anymore he could of been fixed. Try getting help with WIC and anything else out there. Sign up at pampers, huggies, and anything else for coupons too.
Lol.. Im trying to figure it out as well. Im 28wks and waiting until birth to find out the gender of Baby. But I like the suspense and comparing symptoms and pregnancy myths.
I agree with BTS. This does sound like postpartum depression and guess what! With your doctor's help those feelings WILL go away!!! It's also normal to have feelings like yours and wonder if you'll ever bond with baby. You're not a bad mother!

I have my 12 week sonogram tomorrow and will do nuchal translucency test also i guess. I want to see if i can try n tell the gender at all tomorrow. Anyone ever got to find out gender at 12 week scan???
I have has slight ms....just nausiated no vomiting at all. Hair is growing fast all over. Some recent acne and headaches. Mood swings come n go.....ANY GUESSES????
