Avatar f tn I'm 11 months postpartum with my third son. Normal, vaginal delivery with epidural and no complications. 3 weeks after delivery, I had horrible spasms at my epidural injection site - they were so painful I collapsed. Since then, ive had balance issues, brain fog, numbness and tingling that travels to various places, tingly/numb tongue, back and neck pain, achy muscles and joints...I could go on and on. I've had extensive work ups and MRIs...
Avatar n tn The symptoms of numbness and tingling and skin sensations are symptoms of anxiety and depression. If you suffer from anxiety and depression, you are sure to experience these symptoms. So these symptoms are related to anxiety and depression and not childbirth as such. You are likely to experience the symptoms if you have anxiety and depression without childbirth also. Please keep yourself free from stress and be happy with the baby. Please consult a psychotherapist for help.
Avatar n tn Is it possible to have postpartum depression before the baby is even here? I feel like I'm losing my mind.
Avatar f tn ve been reading so many crazy stories about worn and postpartum depression. I was just wondering how many of you second time mommies went through this? And how exactly did you guys cope with it? My best friend went through it so bad and in just mega scared I might go through it as well!
Avatar f tn Hello there, indeed it could be sign of depression and depression is pretty common in miscarriage events. You and your boyfriend need each other more than ever so working on your couple could be a good thing. Another option would be to go for a therapy. You are still young so I do really think the depression is temporary and that you don't need medication. I know such event is hard to forget but you will eventually get over it.

Avatar f tn doesnt sound like postpartum depression just depression, not that thats any better really but do speak to your doctor or a counsellor and get some help, its an awful thing if it gets out of hand..
Avatar f tn Hi hun im going through something similar with the lack of help from hubby as he works and also home bound and constant worrying. I got twins they are 4weeks now. However in not letting it get the better of me. I did get it really bad with my son 4yrs ago after his birth and i can tell you the depression didnt last long as i kept myself busy. But the anxiety n worrying came back in full force after couple of years.
Avatar f tn t inside them anymore and they miss it, among other things. Its pretty common. If you have depression in general you are more likely to get postpartum depression. Ask your doctor about it and make sure you keep in touch with a doctor after birth incase you experience it and they can help you through it.
Avatar n tn With that though is postpartum depression can happen for up to 2 years after the birth of your child so you are going thru postpartum and pregnancy depression all in one but it normal. But make sure you sit down in talk to someone about anything you may be second guessing your self on or if you are getting over whelmed. Please dont be afraid to ask for help. Because it will eat you up inside if you try to do it alone and bottle it in.
Avatar f tn How many of you ladies have/had postpartum depression and did you take medication for it or try and "ride-it-out"? What were your symptoms and how long did they last? Ive definitely been having bouts of depression and feelings of being overwhelmed - yesterday I was in Walmart and called hubby to ask about an item and he asked me to get something else and I suddenly felt overwhelmed and like I was going to cry! LOL.
Avatar f tn I also began taking fluoxetine (20mg) and a low dose of trazadone for postpartum depression and anxiety. My symptoms started approximately 4 weeks after starting these medications. I drink roughly 3/4 glasses of wine per week, and take ibuprofen as needed (roughly 1 or 2 times a week to help relieve sinus headaches) Could the new meds I’m taking be causing the bruising and sweating?
Avatar f tn I'm not sure if I have mild postpartum depression or not. I lose my temper really quickly, have awful mood swings and just don't generally feel myself. The only thing that makes me feel better is my beautiful daughter. I don't know what to do with myself when she's asleep.

Avatar f tn Have any of you mommas experience postpatrum depressionnn? And can tell me how long after having baby you got it and what were you feeling? I had my babygirl 2 weeks ago,& and I've been feeling weird lately, like sad , don't get me wrong I love my doll but I find myself thinking about the past and how it would be if I didn't have her.. Avatar f tn i went two weeks later to my practitioner who diagnosed me with severe postpartum depression. My husband works away and is only home about 1 week a month. He left the day after I got home from the hospital so i was alone with a 3 year old and a newborn. My mom said she would help me if i went to her house but she just was too tired to come and help. I'm essentially on my own.
Avatar f tn Please talk to someone. Google postpartum depression and the baby blues. You will see that this is not your real self and you can find a hot line to call tonight. I felt somewhat the same after my first and it helped me to read about others in blogs and forums.
Avatar n tn You get a questionnaire after you give birth, if anything comes up odd they bring in someone to talk to you.
Avatar f tn My worse fear is postpartum depression a.k.a baby blues! I almost went haywire after having my second babu and now I'm on my third and well that's my biggest concern cause I dont want to deal with that but I already have a lil of it going on and well I know I will need help n support but to be honest I dont know a good way of going about asking for it nor talking about it without judgments!!!
Avatar f tn I had my daughter almost 3 weeks ago and I've had postpartum Depression pretty bad. She doesn't sleep well through the night. My emotions are so messed up I cry almost every day.. I don't know what I can do to make my emotions go back to normal.
Avatar f tn I feel like I will suffer postpartum depression because I've been stressed out and depressed throughout my entire pregnancy... Anyone have any words or thoughts about postpartum depression?
Avatar f tn Talk to a mental health professional not just a primary care doctor. Look for community mental health in your local area/county to be pointed in the right direction. Sometimes counseling and support groups are enough but sometimes not. Best of luck! Nothing to be ashamed of.
8722107 tn?1399602652 It's a touchy subject but has anyone on here ever experienced postpartum depression? If so how did you feel during your pregnancy? Just want to know if it popped up on you after or if anyone had felt depressed toward the end of the pregnancy too..
