I have been off Depo-Provera for 11 months now and still haven't conceived. Every month i have the same symptoms you are describing and every month i have the same negative result. I was also told afetr i came off the injection it could take me anything from a year to 2 years to conceive.

What you listed describes what I feel exactly. I used to be an incredibly happy, bubbly person, and these mood swings are killing me! I really like the convenience of not having to worry about taking a pill, it's not that I mind pills at all, but my schedule as a college student varies so much it's hard to find a time to take it consistently. If I had a steady schedule where I could take a pill every day at the same time, I would much rather do that than have an injection.

has taken me off the Depo Shots and I was put on Birth Control Pills. The blood was very dark red and blood clots. I was given an altrsound was told nothing was wrong. Is this normal with the Depo Provera?

Hi, I am not sure of what type of antibiotic might affect other contraceptives like the pill, but I am pretty sure that she will be fine on the shot. I myself had the depo-provera shot about 10 years ago. I only had one shot and I didn't have a period until a whole year later. It actually took me over another year after my period returned before, I finally became pregnant. The depo-provera shot is extremely effective.

for the past 2 1/2 years I have been bleeding abnormally. It started when I first started the depo provera. I stayed on it for 9 months trying to work with my OB GYN to figure out why I was bleeding so much. She put me on estrogen pills because I'm a small person and didn't have the fat cells to store the estrogen. I bled more when I took the pills so I stopped taking them and just got off the shot.

Her periods always come on time and always lasts 5 days, first 2 days heavy bleeding, 3 days light bleeding. She never has PMS and almost never suffer from menstrual cramps. So her current period of 7 days is out of the norm .

s no way to tell for sure, but more and more proof is coming out that autism is NOT linked to vaccines, and because depo provera is an active hormone shot and not a vaccine, I highly doubt that it is the cause. Are your other children girls by any chance? Very often a family that has an autistic child only has 1 (almost always a boy), and the rest of the children are "normal". They are thinking more and more that it's a genetic mutation.

not sure about the breast feeding part but a lot of women on this site might agree with me to stay clear of depo-provera. Hello, I was just wondering if anyone out there knows anything about the long term use of Depo-Provera Contraceptive. I have been using it for a few years now, and have no plans of stopping using it anytime soon, as I am in college and will be for quite some time to come. I know that I am putting myself at risk for Osteoporosis by using it for a long time. But what I don't know is considering the fact that since being on Depo, I have had pretty much no menstrual cycle for a very long time.

So I've been on depo for 9.months now and got my renewal shot and antibiotics for 10 days on the same day, how long should I wait before having unprotected sex? How will they effect eachother????

Quick question... which Depo are you on? There are two kinds, that I'm aware of: Depo Provera or Depo Lupron. I had tried the Provera when I was about 16 for about a year. I had to stop because I could not handle the side effects any longer. I did spot for about 3 months. It usually takes a few months for your system to get used to it. The Lupron stops your period completely and basically puts your body into menopause, which is the one I am currently on.

I think i am pregnant but i am on the depo provera shot. Is that possible and if it is will the shot affect the fetus? I would be a month and some now and i have been having unprotected sex for two months.
