Hey, I had a monster dandruff problem a few months ago, I would wake up and skip my day at the job when I'd see the white spots on my wet hair,I had flakes on my upper forehead, even in my beard sometimes..it was a nightmare, you're always checking behind you if there's somebody staring at it etc...
If you are in your teens or twenties, I wouldn't worry. If you are in your thirties or older, you will probably be stuck with the beard you have. Good luck!
Hello, The causes of premature graying of hair could be nutrients and proteins deficiency in the hair cells, emotional or physical stress and dandruff. Other causes of premature graying of hair are an unclean condition of the scalp, washing the hair with hot water, drying it with an electric dryer, and use of hair dyes. Heredity is also a predisposing factor.
Let it dry completely on it's own for 15-20 minutes or blow dry it. Then use a beard conditioner of your choice the following morning. I like to let the active ingredients in the Selson Blue absorb into the skin after the evening shower and then put conditioner in the morning that dries quickly so dust or other particals do not get attached. I do this once a week and it eliminates my problem.
Hi there, I have sensitive skin but for months I have had really bad dry skin under my beard. It's so bad that if I rub my beard, chunks of skin fall out. This also happens in my eyebrows. It is effecting my life greatly, very embarrassing. What can I do to cure this ??
it's like dandruff, but scaly and my hairs fall out when I itch it. This is complicated by the fact that I have trichotillomania and beginning male pattern baldness. I have a compulsion to itch and pull hair at the same location.
He will either offer you the medicated shampoo for lice, or make another suggestion. You might have him wash his beard with Listerine; my mother-in-law did that for dry scalp and dandruff and it is a refreshing rinse that will not hurt him. If neither of these work, consult a physician or dermatologist; he could have a skin condition and need to shave to be able to treat it adequately. Consult a professional if it continues.
It seems to be quite acute and I seem to hv white head or dandruff (not sure) on my beard. Also I hv noticed my skin becomig dry and minor scratch/press can lead to red marks. (eg if I keep my elbow on my thighs for a few seconds, it leaves a red blotch. Wonder what is this condition. I am horrified by his since I was moving on after getting low risk advice on my HIV exposure. My qn is - are folliculitis, dandruff, redness appear early in HIV cycle (wihin 8 months of exposure).
Patanol and Claritin-D together do not help, whicih makes me think it is not allergies. I suspect blepharitis and have started using dandruff shampoo on hair, beard, eyebrows, and also washing eyelids per instructions I've found on internet...no real luck thus far. Any other conditions that might cause eye pain/redness? This is seriously psychologically taxing.
If you don't cook pork it will infest your intestine as a worm, where fewer problems exist. In our case, it can exist in other parts of your body. In the skin, muslces, organs, and more importantly, the brain, if it is contracted in the egg form. After you eat the eggs from feces covered food that comes directly from it's human host. It means...people that have it, didn't wash their hands when they started to make your food! This is super common in the 3rd world.

Hi. Just over 2 years ago a rash appeared on both sides of my face in my beard area. They spread along my beard to my chin. During which time I visited the doctor 2 or 3 times and was told I have Seborrhoeic Dermatitis. Each time I was given steriod cream which done nothing to help. More recently my whole face has become inflamed (and I mean my whole face including my forehead). It itches and looks horrible. My face has also become very oily.
So I have to shave ASAP also a lot of small white particles is fallen from my bear exactly as the head dandruff. In addition my exact lymph node swollen again not painful, not solid and very small. My questions are: 1- does my etching and red ( very red) and beard can cause my lymph node to be swollen? 2- I went to doctor and he said this is kind of fungus, I took the medication for 7 days but not solved!!

Hello, I am a 22 year old male, I am active and in good health. In late January of this year, I noticed what I thought was irritated skin occuring below my bottom lip, between that area and the chin. I continued to wash as normal, and it did not go away. It worsened over time, as I would try to apply soothing lotions after getting out of the shower it would just seem to be dry and flaky within an hour.
If any bit of skin peels off it is gone for good and the place it has come from never heals, hence the slow thinning progression in my nose. He confirmed my beard has seborrheic dermatitis. Could the dermatitis be affecting the nose too? The dermatologist didn't seem to think so, but said "maybe" as he really didn't have any answer. And that I should use the creams he suggested on the nose tip in any case. So confusing. What do I do?
but in the past 2-3 years or so i will get red patches on my face and the skin seems to be white and flaky in those areas. i also get dandruff sometimes and use Neutrogena T/Gel to help control it. however, the flaky, red skin on my face seems to come and go. i have been using a facial scrub that my wife suggested and although it does seem to help if i miss a day it comes right back.
Well after about a year or so with dealing with Seborrheic Dermatitis, i never knew what it was. i stupidly turned down my works health insurance coverage so i never got to go in to get a Docs opinion. about a year about i started to get red spots on my face around my beard and nose area. i started using all types of lotions and such to remedy the issue. i found out different lotions that work and some that dont.

Have had redness on the side of my nose and under my eyes, and tiny flakes in my beard for about a month and a half now. I was given the Ketocy...2% cream which seemed to do absolutely nothing for 2-3 times a day for two weeks. I do not really have any problems with dandruff other than some small flakes from time to time, which usually go away with H&S Shampoo. I am in good health and have good personal hygeine. Recently went to Dermatologist again she told me to use Selsun 2.
Hi, This could be seborrhoeic dermatitis. It is a skin disorder affecting the scalp, face, and trunk causing scaly, flaky, itchy, red skin. It particularly affects the sebum-gland rich areas of skin. Side effects to inflammation may include temporary hair loss. If severe outbreaks are untreated for extended intervals, permanent hair loss may result, because of damage to hair follicles. http://en.wikipedia.
I have leg spasms nerve damage, migraines, arthritis, cyst on my back ovaries and wrist, tendonitis, hair loss (very significant I have lost about 50% volume from my hair) hair gain, noticed facial hair,(I plan on if I loose too much hair to try to grow a beard, dye it blue and do a extreme comb over) dry flaky skin, dandruff, swelling constantly (as much as 5 pounds in a day usually it is 2-3), I think I may have high blood pressure now haven't been to doc's to have it checked yet, I get irra
On my Mom's side two of my Great, Great aunts never had children not by choice. I remember one of them used to pride herself in never having broken bones in her old age...she told me she had a glass of milk every morning of her life which I find is interesting because according to some schools of thought on PCOS dairy aggravates ovarian cysts.
Hello, About 2 weeks ago I noticed a strange rash on my cheek that looked sort of like a cut/gash. I then noticed the same sort of rash on my beard area (chin) and it was flaking. The next day I had a rash in my eyebrow area that was flaky and red. After looking for hours on the web, I self diagnosed seborrheic dermatitis. I bought some cortizone and started using that but it didn't seem to do anything.

1) I noticed in the last few months I get dry skin in my hair (not like dandruff) but rather big clumps, do you get this? 2) Do you use fake tan? 3) Do you have a poor posture (i.e shoulders slumped forward, back hurts fairly often?) 4) Does everyone with this problem here have problems with feeling lethargic, lacking energy (nothing to do with fitness levels or amount of sleep) Hope to nail this one on the head because no doctors seem to know.. why?
Soak body fully, hair and scalp under water, for 20 minutes. Don't get it in your eyes, but do try to soak your face a bit with your eyes closed. Take a shower with natural soap, no perfumes, afterwards. Always rince very well. Use a blowdryer to dry yourself, no towels--they love towels. Step into your slippers or flip flops, but not on the floor when you get out of the shower. Stop using shampoo and conditioner, and use regular, mild all natural soap.
