Avatar n tn I have been diagonised with low Blood pressure. Can u suggest a suitable diet to regain normalcy?
976897 tn?1379167602 I looked up the starch diet when you first posted that you were doing it, and I couldn't understand how it could be great, but I trusted that you had researched it and didn't say anything. Now, I think maybe this starch diet just doesn't agree with you. For myself, I'm on board with the newer findings that healthy fats are good for you and that we eat too many grains. You might be interested in a book called Perfect Health Diet, by Paul Jaminet and Shou-Ching Jaminet.
1085545 tn?1284042254 I am also a vegetarian and found I had to make some drastic changes in my diet, but I am now able to eat a variety of foods and enjoy cooking again. What you need to reduce is your intake of carbs. If you are used to eating a large amount of rice (for me the problem was pasta) you will have to change that.

332074 tn?1229560525 I have worked out for three years straight. 5 nights a week. 1 hour of cardio and 1 hour weights. Yet I have not lost any weight. I have been dianosised with high blood preasure, thyroid problems, insulin resisstance and just did get diagnosised with sleep apnea. My problem is, I have sooo many food allergies that alot of the foods that are good for a diet, I can't eat. Is there anyway I can achieve weightloss with the foods that I can eat?
Avatar m tn If you research autoimmune disease, such as Lupus, you will find that blood pressure issues are a common symptom of these conditions. Maybe tx creates a non-specific state of autoimmunity, thus provoking the high blood pressure. Whether or not this is the cause, I can still tell you that high BP does seem to appear after tx in a number of people.
Avatar f tn Using that information and blood glucose testing you could tailor you diet to keep you blood sugar within the recommended limits.
976897 tn?1379167602 I will be trying the 5-2 diet, 5 days normal eating, 2 days diet. This has worked in many trials, lowing cholesterol, blood pressure, growth factors. It puts the cells into high repair mode and makes your body more youthful, not in looks, but in reaction times etc. Your major organs become more healthy. It also causes lots of body fat to be consumed. For 5 days I can eat what I want, but limited to 2000-2500 calories. For 2 days I will be limited to just 600 calories.
973741 tn?1342342773 ve been able to dodge meds by following this diet. Keeps my pressure within a good range + exercise. Excellent!
637356 tn?1301924822 I have gone through a divorce, almost lost my house, lost some of my furniture, lost my truck, and the one I was driving broke down. I have gone through a lot in 2010 but I figured it is 2011 a new year and a new start!! I got a new job, saved my house, and I am slowly rebuilding everything I lost!! Anyway, through all the stress I gained weight and didnt' care...I had given up on everything. My mom joined this program called Slim 4 Life and I started watching her.
Avatar n tn Our 9 year old beagle female has had a few times of peeing in the house and there has been blood the lsst couple months. Today there was a clot. Anything we can do at home for her without going to the vet?
Avatar f tn all colon health or related disease is directly connected to diet. Healthy diet equals healthy colon. Go on an all raw diet for a month. Your body will begin telling you what it needs through cravings but I warn you.... at first your body doesn't always recognize the difference between good sugars and bad sugars. If you crave chocolate at first or soda pop....drink orange juice or eat an apple until your body adapts to the change.
72351 tn?1281992542 I have a question about diet. I am a city bus driver. We do not have lunch breaks and must eat on the go, have to nibble throughout the day. That poses a problem when it comes to taking a test 2 hrs after eating as I am nibbling throughout day. Any helpful hints? Also, I am not having any troubles keeping my sugar down during the day. It has been anywhere from 93-110.
Avatar n tn During this time ive been consuming alot of water but in the second urine analysis in april i had oxalate. My sister who is a biologist adviced me to change the diet coz the diet was the one causing the problems however i was drinking alot of water. What could be your advice? The biggist problem is that im having constant pain in my big toe of the right foot, from the nail up to the toe.
470168 tn?1237471245 Look into the diet called "the carbohydrate addicts diet" I am not a salesperson, and this diet has been out for a long time. It has enabled me to lose 40 lbs and reverse prediabetes. What is so great about it is that you can still have the occasional "forbidden foods" and still keep your blood glucose level low. It is based on the way our bodies release insulin. If you consume all your carbs in one hour your body only releases two loads of insulin.
Avatar f tn For a year or so i have had a terrible diet of mostly junk food and a relatively sedentary lifestyle. As a result of this i am now 4 stone overweight and always feeling tired and sluggish. Since last week i have joined my local gym and cut out junk food and sugar as much as i possibly can. I have reduced my calorie intake to about 1300 a day but i am feeling very ill and weak. What is the reason for this?
Avatar n tn I've been on a diet for the past week and I have barely lost more than a pound or two. I have been consuming about half of what I usually eat and have cut out fatty foods, I also get exercise every day now. Is it true that most people only start losing much weight after the two or three weeks of dieting? What am I doing wrong?
Avatar f tn Why do I feel nauseous when I do a "cut diet" ? I am training for a spartan race in June this year. And every other day u eat no carbs.
Avatar f tn Try not to look at it as a "diet". You should be making actual lifestyle changes that you can stick with over the long term. Often making small changes (like switching from soda to water) are better than a strict diet that's not sustainable.
Avatar m tn I have done a full blood check up as few days ago I have been detected with high blood pressure (140/100). in the following area I got alarm.
