Common Questions and Answers about Blood type diet acne

Avatar m tn Acne along the jawline and the neck and back indicate a hormonal imbalance for women. Typically, men get acne in those areas. There is no one answer for everyone. The first food to get rid of, in my opinion, is cow's milk products. That is the food that gives my daughter acne in those areas. My daughter needed to get several things out of her diet to cure her acne. It's not easy for her and every time she cheats, she gets flare ups.
Avatar f tn So they wont cause anything on your face like acne. Hormones and stress are huge factors in acne, the jawline area is hormone related, cheeks is diet and for head is stress and environment. antibiotics have nothing to do with acne. Also junk food has nothing do with acne! You might need to look at other things like the kind of makeup you wear, the chemicals in it.
5544493 tn?1369608788 Ramjayseo, acne is said to be a common skin problem in the US and almost 80% of Americans are affected, regardless if you're an American or not, acne may affect you. Now, because acne is a very common skin condition, I am honestly astounded of the misinterpretation and mistreatment done by most medical professionals. You see, the most common type of acne people experiences is the "ACNE VULGARIS".
Avatar n tn t know the ins and outs of the keto diet, but if you have periods of time during the day when your blood sugar is below a certain level, that would be good to reduce acne. Eating all throughout the day (which keeps your blood sugar high all the time) increases the chance of getting acne.
Avatar m tn m not sure about the type of skin I have, but my skin is usually oily. So, I guess, my skin type is oily. I have mild acne. Their size is small, and I have them on my forehead, both cheeks and a little on my chin. Some of them are reddish, while the others are darker than my skin color. I'm exposed to the sun everyday after school for around 5 to 20 minutes, but I always try to avoid it. My diet.. I don't take alcohol, drugs, and I don't smoke. I don't drink caffeinated drinks.
Avatar m tn I clean it with antibacterial and acne medication multiple times daily. I have a healthy diet and I run and work out 4 times a week. I am considering the dermatologist but I hesitate because it is my understanding that all acne medications cause sun sensitivity. This is unacceptable (I work and play outside) and if it is the only thing they will offer it makes that a no go. Am I wrong? Any suggestions otherwise?

You actually still get to eat most of your favorite foods and new favorite foods when you eat the whole foods type of diet. But, I know this way of eating does help overall health. Remember, too, carbs turn into sugar in the body.
Avatar n tn I suppose 22 isn't too old to be complaining about acne; but, I feel rather embarrassed to be at this age that I should be blossoming into a young woman and instead, I feel like a 16 year old. I don’t like putting heavy makeup on to cover my face. I don’t expect to be flawless, but at least not red and bumpy all over my face. My shoulders break out pretty bad, too. So… I have had acne for so long that I do not remember a time that I have not looked like this.
Avatar f tn Does anyone follow the blood type diet? I am type A and I need some good recipes I can use regularly.
Avatar m tn This may pinpoint what nutritional values you are lacking in your diet. Sometimes simple multi-day vitamins appropriate for your body type/age will help bring your levels into check. You may also want to take vitamins geared towards skin health, immune system, and blood cells. Also, make sure you're drinking plenty of water and eating a healthy diet. Water will flush your skin and organs of toxins that may be causing the acne.
Avatar m tn i am a teenager girl 17years old. i have acne problem and oily skin and acne scars i have tried everything and every treatment nothing how should i cure my acne and my acne scares and oily skin.
Avatar n tn Hi. Acupuncture cannot cure acne, and acne is not caused by stress or a weak liver. There is no evidence that diet effects acne either. Acne is caused by a sensitivity to androgens (hormones) in our bodies. Acne patients also have the P.acne bacteria on their skin and a tendancy for their sebaceous glands to produce excess oil. To clear acne you must tackle one or more of the 3 causes: hormones, bacteria and oil.
Avatar n tn How old are you? What is your skin type? Oily? Dry? Sensitive? Is it flaky? Most acne sufferers have more sensitive skin than they think and they treat and treat and treat and rarely see any good results. Overwashing and scrubbing and medicating is the last thing the skin needs. The key is to getting the it balanced. If you are red, your skin is probably very irritated and needs a break from any cleansers or treatments. Wash in the morning with a very mild cleanser (no harsh chemicals!
Avatar f tn Hello, Acne occurs due to a blockage of oil underneath the skin and builds up with bacteria causing inflammation and develops into a pimple. The common causes of acne are poor diet, stress, genetic, dirt, hormonal imbalances, cosmetics, work-related and drugs. Wash your face with mild soap many times a day. Avoid popping or scratching them. Drink plenty of water. Take good sleep.Benzoyl peroxide is very effective for acne. Are you also having post-acne facial scarring?
Avatar f tn I am an 18 year old asian girl with a fairly good diet- I am 45 kgs and 5 ft 5" tall. I used to have silky straight hair but since 4th grade I've had a bad case of dandruff (my skin is acne prone too). My hair type changed from super silky to voluminous and frizzy ( I have a thick head of hair). I've lived with this for alot of years now and I can control my acne, but recently (almost 2 years ago) my hair started changing in texture.
Avatar f tn Since reaching my mid 30's my skin has been a wreck. I have dry skin that is sensitive and whenever I use moisturizers they break me out even when they say it doesn't clog pores. So I am constantly trying to battle acne with products that dry and moisturizers that break me out. I just can't seem to get the right routine for my skin type...please HELP!!
Avatar n tn I've never really suffered from acne. All of a sudden I am now battling acne and what seems to be ingrown acne and blackheads. I don't understand why this is all of a sudden a problem. I'm in my early thirties, eat well. and use a facial daily cleaning routine. What can be causing this?
Avatar f tn ve suffered pretty bad back acne for years now, and I was wondering if back acne (especially cystic type) can lead to swollen lymph nodes? Specifically, the persistent swollen node I am referencing is the supra-vascular. Thanks!
Avatar n tn For many people, the hormone imbalance that brings on the acne requires strict diet changes that keep the hormones more balanced. If your son is up for the challenge, leave me a message and I'll try to help with the diet. Zinc, believe it or not, along with the diet, helped greatly within a few weeks. I found out that zinc helps mobilize vitamin A from the liver. Whenever there is a change in diet, it is likely that his acne might flare for a few days and then start to improve.
Avatar m tn However, some interesting evidence now suggests a possible link between acne and obesity driven by eating a high-glycemic load diet. A recent review published in August in the dermatology journal Cutis indicates that acne may be promoted by the same kind of diet that triggers insulin resistance, a condition that can develop when the normal amount of insulin secreted is not sufficient to move glucose into the cells, causing an increase in both insulin and blood sugar levels.
