blood

212161 tn?1599427282 I am a A- blood type and also rh negative. I had a healthy baby girl 9 yrs ago. Got a shot at 28 wks. And then another once she was born because she was my husband's blood type O positive. My sister has had 4 pregnancies 2 resulting in identical twins and she is also RH negative, babies have all been healthy. Even when you miscarry they should be giving you a shot, at least from my understanding it's every pregnancy but also depends on baby's blood type.
Avatar f tn my blood type is o+ and my husband believes his is o-. i am 24 weeks and see my dr on the 14th... im just wondering would i have to take the shots like someone with rh- blood bc the fact im a pos blood type and if he is a neg type??
Avatar f tn Husband and I are both veterans so we knew our blood types, I'm O neg and he's A pos. I had to get the rhogam at 28 weeks. It's nothing to worry over. Your doctor will go over everything with you. Just so you know though, they sick you in the hip and it burns and it will hurt for a while afterwards.
5889951 tn?1380316047 I was discussing with my sons father who is o negative blood type and I am o negative blood type would my son be o negative as well? If anyone has any info they could share with me I would be very appreciative.
Avatar f tn i have a neg blood type to...an if its the same shot my mom told me about its used bcuz ur body will fight off the baby like it would a cold No worries tho....
Avatar f tn I have O- blood and I have just found out that I am expecting. My mum suffered various miscarriages due to this reason as her body rejected the baby. I'm scared incase I do the same as it's just nature. What can I do to prevent this? Someone please help.
Avatar f tn If your body senses babies blood and they have a positive blood type your body will try to get rid off the foreign body, the shot prevents this from happening. You and baby are fine now just be careful and they usually give the shot at 28 weeks. Luckily both my husband and I are positive. My mom was negative so she had to go through this with me.
Avatar n tn My fiance just got blood typed as LAN blood type after not knowing his blood type for 23 years, I am O neg. What complications could we have with conceiving and pregnancy?
Avatar n tn Does any ine know about A neg blood type my doc said I will need a shot at 28 weeks but I want to know if any one else has went throw this.
Avatar f tn hi all mummies to be, I'm concerned for my blood type and others with the same. This is my second pregnancy but unfortunately my first ended in miscarriage and my gp stated something to do with my blood type fighting against the baby's blood cells because my partners blood is positive. I'm scared it's going to end the same way does anyone else know anything about o neg blood in pregnancy a bit concerned !!
1230912 tn?1273492770 I am reading your story and realize that your post is from a few years ago. I am O neg. blood and received the Rhogam shot for both of my pregnancies. My children are both pos. blood types. I now have numerous problems with my immune sytem attacking itself, sero neg. arthirtis. Bad discs in my back, bi-polar, panic attacks, low blood pressure, pain in knees, numbness in my right foot. I have been to doctors, run tests, take pills, have started PT water exercises.
Avatar f tn I am o negative blood type as well and i didnt miscarry i only got my first shot at 28 weeks. i dont why they said its your blood type. my doctor was more concerned about me then the baby.
Avatar f tn m b neg too and got anti d injection at 30wks only because i bled a tiny bit.but didnt get one after she was born cos she was o neg blood type. Im due second baby in 4wks and have had an awful lot of complications this time.i asked them do i need the ante d and they said none of the complications are to do with my blood and i havent been bleeding so i dont need it. My 1st child turned out perfectly healthy and as far as i know this baby is, shes just huge though.
Avatar f tn I am O Negative I have a rare blood type how do I know what blood type my child will be ?
Avatar f tn I have been looking into this blood type diet myself being a blood type O but recently I have become concerned if I suffer manic episodes or am bipolar. Certain periods in my life become notably amazing. Usually when Im relatively lean I find myself with too much energy than I know what to do with! My social life improves dramatically! I quit 2 different jobs during these periods of "high". I almost become contagious during these periods wishing I could feel like this forever!
Avatar f tn The different is the positive or negative blood types. The dif. being if you have a positive blood type and the baby has a negative, your body might try to fight the baby because it thinks it is an infection. There is a medication they can give you to make sure your body doesn't fight the baby. I hope that was what you wanted. I may be wrong but I got that from an ER dr. Good Luck.
1028452 tn?1537448484 Is AB blood type A- what is the difference between A+ and just plain A blood type? | Answerbag http://www.answerbag.
10203682 tn?1418693754 I had to get the shot my blood type is o negative I don't care what blood type my fiance is I hate needles also but I lost my baby the first time and I wasn't going to risk it again so I took the shot I rather take it then not take it and something happens to my baby....getting a shot is no where near as bad as labor so I didn't even worry about if it would hurt or not...
Avatar f tn Am A- blood type and I have to do the shots in the 7 month and other depending on the type of babyborn blood . Is there any obstacles of natural delivery for the negative type of blood and any problems during pregnancy . Am 7 weeks and it's my first .
284738 tn?1283106819 Look at the bright side, O- is called the universal donor because no matter what blood type you have, you can receive blood from someone who is O-. So you could give blood (after your baby is born) and maybe save another baby's life.
Avatar f tn I just recently asked what was my blood type because my mom told me I was o-negative. Well I found out that I am but I never received a Rhogam shot. My doctor has never even discussed it with me. Is this a big issue? Will this cause any complications? Has anyone else dealt with this????
