Type o blood diet recipes

Common Questions and Answers about Type o blood diet recipes

Avatar f tn I am currently on the hcg injections from the Native Healing Ways clinic. Does anyone have any recipes for this 500 calorie diet? The information that the clinic has provided does list a few recipes but I would like to expand a bit as I am becoming board with current food choices. Also, I am mostly a vegetarian but eat some fish. Thanks!
Avatar n tn I had to have a physical from my own doctor who had to sign some paper work from GHI and I had to have a blood test as specified from GHI Medical. I followed the 500 calorie diet religiously. I had plenty of energy to exercise which I did 5 - 6 aerobic work outs and 3 weight training work outs. I am a personal trainer and I was having an extremely frustrating time loosing weight after the birth of my 3rd child. Yes, I washed my hair and conditioned it.
1026267 tn?1257594873 I don't know if almond or rice milk have the iodine in them or not, but there is one other thing that might be of help here. I found out that people with type "O" blood should not use coconut or palm anything, even the healthy extra virgin kind. I also found out that dairy isn't really good for type "O" people either.
897070 tn?1320656229 After my recent diagnosis of cirrhosis and steatosis I am really seriously considering changing my diet with the intention of lightening the load on my liver. It would be good to be able to lower my inflamation a little. I'm wondering if anyone on the forum has changed to say vegetarian and if so whether they have seen any signs of improvement.
Avatar n tn Hi! Is anyone starting the HCG diet on Black Friday? I will be doing it 4 weeks thanksgiving to christmas? Do you want to start a support group?

413852 tn?1317312312 for the factor V test, it is another type of clotting disorder. My girlfiend had to be on blood thinners also because of that. I am on blood thinners and extra Folic Acid because of MTHFR. Did your DH send the bug up here? DH and I have been feeling poopy all weekend, but still managed to go shrimping. ....hmmm... safety bars on the windows? Was that to keep people out or in? Did he offer you a new wardrobe at the same time - like an orange jumpsuit? Tijuana and Milky..... oooooooh....
Avatar n tn They specifically eliminate blood sugar spikes, and keep the blood sugar in a normal range. Blood sugar spiking is another theory as to why many type 1 diabetics gain weight, and these low GI foods reduce it. Just a side note however, when I was on the diet, my blood sugar constantly went low and i had to compensate by eating multiple snacks throughout the day, something that probably offset my pound-shedding.
Avatar f tn If you could completely cut all sugar and basically all grains and not overdo your fruit intake, you would be eating a perfect diet for GD. (and a really awesomely healthy diet in general!
Avatar n tn The easiest way to find out what is going on would be to buy blood sugar meter/testing strips (you can get them anywhere w/o Rx) and test and record for a few days. Test your fasting #, 2 hrs. after breakfast, lunch and dinner and right before lunch and dinner also. Test also when you are symptomatic (ex. test if you feel shaky to confirm if you are really experiencing hypoglycemia or not). From what I understand the post-prandial readings (after meals) are the ones to fail first.
529981 tn?1212853666 Hair will not stop falling out. I have gotten blood tests at a dermatology office and everything was normal. I also have tried about very type of zinc pyrithione shampoo, at the highest concentrations. Also I have tried, salycylic shampoos, tar shampoos, jojoba oil, AND nothing seems to help. Please help me and my hair. I am a busy college student, who unfortunately does not have the time and money to deal with this.
Avatar f tn I agree with these useful posts. They are such great additional information about supporting the immune system. And, while I agree that what tana_h says is true, I would certainly do everything possible to support the immune system first as all of us have given you some information on ways to do this. Definitely try these simple natural steps first. You can meld all this information with eating for your right blood type.
390388 tn?1279639813 The blood testing a few weeks later showed a issue with the blood sugar. When a person is said to be Glucose intolerant what is that incomparison to being Type 2 diabetic? I still am doing a lot of studying out the blood sugar subect, with the hopes that I have a more detailed understanding.
Avatar f tn Kidney Diet Recipes: Serve food twice daily, and feed at approximately 2% to3% of the dog’s body weight daily in food. For example, a 100 pound dog would get two to three pounds of food (one cup is approximately 8 ounces, or pound). A 50 pound dog would get one to one and a half pounds of food daily. A 25 pound dog would get eight to twelve ounces daily. A ten pound dog would get three to seven ounces daily. Dogs can vary on these amounts, depending on their metabolism and activity levels.
1809109 tn?1331807377 Good news about this recipe that will put most on this forum at ease, too, is that she didn't use sorghum. If you have blood type "O" you wouldn't want sorghum anyway. Especially not when already dealing with Celiac or gluten intolerance. For those with casein issues, use a milk substitute that you're able to tolerate, like rice milk. I mentioned the rice because nut allergies were already mentioned on this thread.
Avatar m tn Lucifer( my mother) made fun of me when I was in the hosp last week so I started a diet a few days ago. I guess my brain forgot that I started a diet cuz the hunger comes and I eat and eat. Im petite and Im scared,,,Im now a size 10 I was a 6. My undies and bras dont even fit and I split my pants yesterday at work.
Avatar n tn My 11 y/o was dx with type 1 at the end of March, since then she has had occational headaches, rarely complained of headaches before the dx. Blood sugars are in the 80-120 range. She is still honeymooning so she does not go above the 130s with a good diet. Sometimes she also complains of a stomache ache. Not as severe as some I have read on this post. She has an appt with her endo this am so maybe they can explain it to me.
2012515 tn?1353879125 I have read alot of post's about gluten from Maria and others of how it is bad esp. for possible MS'ers So I've just started trying to remove it from my diet and I need to lose some unwanted weight I've gained. I was wondering if wheat gluten is the same as white bread gluten.? My family and I have eaten whole grain breads for several years and I read on it that it had wheat gluten. I've found cereal and crackers and dressing gluten free.
Avatar n tn 1 for damaged kidneys, so you'll need to learn what foods are low in phosphorous. Most homemade diet recipes will be high on fatty meats (fat contains less phosphorous than lean meat), and carbohydrates like rice. Egg whites, boiled dark chicken meat with the skin, fatty ground beef, pork and lamb will work too. When cooking the ground meats, don't overcook as that makes more phosphorous available. Next, you'll need to add calcium (Tums) and/ or aluminum hydroxide (antacid) to the diet.
Avatar f tn The diet I followed is called the SCDiet. (specific carbohydrate) and their website with recipes is www.scdiet.org. I was symptom-free also until a couple of months ago. Over the years I have become more erratic with my diet and now paying the price. Now back on Prednisone and Asacol, which I see as sometimes necessary to get back on track again. Whatever you do, don't postpone seeing your Dr. because of $$.
Avatar n tn because sometimes its very hard to control my blood sugar. I am a type 2, been diagnosed at 16, and I just turned 20. My family members cannot understand me...I dont expect them to. Sometimes I just eat like a normal person..I take tablets..Starlix and metformin. Usually I can control the bs for some days...then a few days later...Im in the 200 zone. How can I really become a serious diabetic? I smoke marijuana, because for me, it combines with my meditation and yoga..
547836 tn?1302836432 any suggestions for routine foods or simple recipes that could save me from this hunger would be graciously appreciated.
Avatar n tn We come on this board with our fears about pregnancy and are hopes for our babies, and to hear about pregnant pot smokers can get things pretty heated. I know it can make my blood boil. I'd like to reinerate to Trixie that we are all on your side. I re-read all the messages on your last post, and everyone seemed to be on your side. I really hope it all works out with your friend.
Avatar f tn However there are times when I'm out with friends or are in some type of environment where I can't avoid it completely, so I try my best to limit myself to small portions of my absolute *favorite* things and then just get back on track as soon as I'm not in that situation anyore. I'm less likely to overindulge when I'm in a social setting around a lot of people anyway.
Avatar n tn forgot to answer your question about diet. I have to limit my intake of liquids and salt. Minimal amount of any type of food that comes from an animal . Very little pork, beef, chicken, fried foods. Mainly vegetables prefreably raw, Fruit and Supper whole grain bread. No cheese yougart no frozen dinners, or any type of processed food. I've been good about the diet. Can"t afford to loose weight. Have managed to keep it the same. IN spite of the same ol food. Hope this helps.
1563145 tn?1295359574 I stopped eating all processed foods. I went to see a Naturopathic Doctor, and went on the “Blood Type Diet” I am Type A. I was now moving in the right direction. I discussed with my endo the problems I was having with Methimazole and she took me off it and, we parted company for the most part. I visited the Endo once more for a 3 month check up, (but more about that later). The concept of me not eating steak and potatoes was very foreign.
393685 tn?1425816122 I am on board :-) some here know my story. I eat Gluten free and I am Blood Type "A". Perhaps that has a bit to do with why gluten affects some blood types differently than others, Gluten, Sugar and all food really. I "Eat Right for my Blood Type". Nearly all of what I have done to heal myself has been a result of diet change. It is my opinion that that is certainly a place to start. Anyone can look at my profile and see how I have done.
