I try all night but i just lay there. Is there anything i can do to help sleep? I have tried hot baths and walking but not sure what else i can do.
Insomnia usually constitutes impaired daytime function due to difficulty initiating sleep, difficulty maintaining sleep, chronically nonrestorative sleep, or poor quality sleep. Your condition also needs to be differentiated from Sleep deprivation wherein it is milder form.

Zyrtec and benadryl. Zyrtec doesn't work for me, and benadryl makes me so tired. So my Dr gave me flonase and said to take the benadryl at night.
Hi, it sounds like you have had quite an ordeal with these allergies! i also have allergies, but mine were bad enough that i developed asthma and had to go on several medications to get it under control, now i only take zyrtec as needed. i don't know about allergies that are "digested first" with zyrtec, everyone has different reactions- but zyrtec is systemic so it should be help equally with your sore throat and itching.
I was told to take zyrtec. Now I have a rash on my upper thighs. Is it the generic zyrtec? Would the regular Zyrtec do the same? Have you ever heard of Diamox being prescribed for Meneire's disease? I find nothing in the literature about it and am hesitant to take it as it makes me very tired. I need to sleep about 3 hours a day when I take it. I don't want to experience vertigo again.
I use Benadryl (non drowsy) almost every day but when my allergies are out of control I use Zyrtec. If I have congestion, I use Sudaffed.
I was also advised to take Zyrtec and wondered if Zyrtec had any more benefit for skin reactions thank Claritin. Claritin didn't help at all. Two dermatologists suggested Zyrtec over Claritin . I hesitate to try the Zyrtec as I took it once a few years ago and promptly feel into a deep sleep. If it is better for the skin than Claritin can it be taken at night and do any good?

I'm constantly itchy. I've scratched myself bloody in my sleep. I've just been using anti itch cream and neosporin to control it.
My have had terrible allergy symptoms so dr told me that zyrtec, Claritan and bendryl are safe during pregnancy. I took Zyrtec during the day yesterday with no relief by bedtime so I took a Benadryl to hopefully get some sleep at night because my symptoms were still terrible!
Didn't realize this might not be ok to mix- anyone have any idea if mixing them once is ok?? Now I'm really nervous I did something wrong even though they're both safe.

this time also rashes are bad specially during night time...i am now taking zyrtec 5mg daily one dose....had done a ultrasound during 5th week but there was no heart beat....Dr said everything is fine for heart beat we have to repeat the scan after 2 weeks.....he had also prescribe me dupashtone but after searching the forum i had not taken it as no one has written good about it.....i am now very much worried as we desperately need this baby....
I had turbinate surgery two weeks ago. Now i still have congestion, snoring, loss of smell/taste. Dr's Office said take Zyrtec, this isn't helping. What should i do? Is this nomal? Maybe i need a 2nd opinion.
My 5 year old has been picking her scabs on and off for a year now. She seems to have seasonal allergies also. I have noticed when she is on generic Zyrtec for the allergies she doesn't pick as much or stops all together. Then after a meeting with her teacher it was brought to my attention that when she is picking a lot her school work suffers.
No other symptoms are apparent when not attempting to sleep. I know this is not a chest cold or bronchitis because I have had both this is not nearly as severe; only severe when I sleep. has zyrtec been banned,i cant find it anywhere,if it has been banned then wot was the reason?
i started taking zyrtec about 6 months ago for post nasal drip and watery eyes. i took it almost every day and felt much better. i figured i would stop and see if my allergies were better. bad idea. after 48 hour without zyrtec i start to itch everywhere. it starts between my fingers and wrists and feet and ankles and ends up everywhere. i take a pill and it goes away. i have tried to stop many times but the itching is just too bad.
I woke up yesterday with my right, top outer ear (front and back) being red, a little warm swollen and itching uncontrollably. I took some Benadryl last night and it helped me sleep, but it continues to itch like crazy! What could it be and what can I do to help control the non-stop itching? Thanks!
ve also seen a dermatologist and she said finding the root to the problem is difficult therefore nothing can be done but to continuously taking Zyrtec if my body responds to it. Even though I know Zyrtec can temporarily stops the outbreak, I try not to take much as I fear there might be side effects (I heard it can make you infertile if consuming over a long period of time? Not sure if it's true). ...Help!!!!!!!!!...how do I get rid it permanently?
I got the ok on zyrtec during pregnancy from my allergist, OB, and pharmacist. I am positive that zyrtec is ok.
