I was told to take zyrtec. Now I have a rash on my upper thighs. Is it the generic zyrtec? Would the regular Zyrtec do the same? Have you ever heard of Diamox being prescribed for Meneire's disease? I find nothing in the literature about it and am hesitant to take it as it makes me very tired. I need to sleep about 3 hours a day when I take it. I don't want to experience vertigo again.
I try all night but i just lay there. Is there anything i can do to help sleep? I have tried hot baths and walking but not sure what else i can do.

I went and seen a doctor about this and was told I have allergies, I was perscribed the generic for singulair for 10 days, and zyrtec for about 2 weeks to see if I got better. I opted to take the medicine at night (tonight)...and i can't sleep and my throat is so dry even after water. I really dis like medicine...I get anxious...what are some other options to feel better?... HELP!
Zyrtec and benadryl. Zyrtec doesn't work for me, and benadryl makes me so tired. So my Dr gave me flonase and said to take the benadryl at night.
hi folks, thought I'd ask you wise, wonderful ppl for ideas for allergy relief. I've tried every thing I can think of even got a allergy shot from doc, didn't even help one day. I've tried Alavert , zyrtec and nose sprays, benadryl works but I don't want to sleep all day. If anyone has any suggestion I'd love to hear them. I just need to get through the 1st freeze of the year, it's the dried up pollion that's making me sneeze, itchy throat and ears.
I was also advised to take Zyrtec and wondered if Zyrtec had any more benefit for skin reactions thank Claritin. Claritin didn't help at all. Two dermatologists suggested Zyrtec over Claritin . I hesitate to try the Zyrtec as I took it once a few years ago and promptly feel into a deep sleep. If it is better for the skin than Claritin can it be taken at night and do any good?

I use the zyrtec eye drops (i've only had itchy eyes lately) and Sinus Rinse - clears and prevents congestion. It took me a long time to get over the idea of squirting water up my nose, but it is totally worth it.
Only for one thing --- sleep. seems everytime i took the inc and riba together I could knock off a couple hours of sleep. now with the itch its very elusive.atarax, zyrtec,1.5 ambien all I could manage was 2hr 40 min, not all at once. Any body having problems after incivek sleeping? If so what do you do ?
I am so sleepy today. I took a Zertec last night for my allergies and today I just cant seem to feel awake. Its a catch 22 for me bc when im tired I get anxious and now im both and dont want to take any more than the .125mg of xanax I took earlier bc I will be a zombie at work. And sipping on coffee.
Does anyone know how long does a antihistamine like zertec stay in your system?
My have had terrible allergy symptoms so dr told me that zyrtec, Claritan and bendryl are safe during pregnancy. I took Zyrtec during the day yesterday with no relief by bedtime so I took a Benadryl to hopefully get some sleep at night because my symptoms were still terrible!
Didn't realize this might not be ok to mix- anyone have any idea if mixing them once is ok?? Now I'm really nervous I did something wrong even though they're both safe.
anyone have this work for them? I'm fed up my sinuses have been draining down the back of my throat for over a month, today its been so bad its made be super queasy to point i actually had to take a zofran to keep breakfast down. I've just been dealing with it up untill now, but i'm going to get some benadryl today in hopes it lessens or stops it, as its getting to the point its interfering with my sleep.
Ok tried on the other forum and nobody is responding so maybe I'll have better luck here. Lastnight I couldn't sleep much because my nose was so stuffy, and then today my throat just feels super dry constantly. Is there anything I can take for my symptoms? I've done salt water gargle and saline rinse for my nose and neither one helps. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks!

this time also rashes are bad specially during night time...i am now taking zyrtec 5mg daily one dose....had done a ultrasound during 5th week but there was no heart beat....Dr said everything is fine for heart beat we have to repeat the scan after 2 weeks.....he had also prescribe me dupashtone but after searching the forum i had not taken it as no one has written good about it.....i am now very much worried as we desperately need this baby....
I had turbinate surgery two weeks ago. Now i still have congestion, snoring, loss of smell/taste. Dr's Office said take Zyrtec, this isn't helping. What should i do? Is this nomal? Maybe i need a 2nd opinion.
My 5 year old has been picking her scabs on and off for a year now. She seems to have seasonal allergies also. I have noticed when she is on generic Zyrtec for the allergies she doesn't pick as much or stops all together. Then after a meeting with her teacher it was brought to my attention that when she is picking a lot her school work suffers.

Do you have allergies? Do you smoke? Do you have a runny nose/any sinus related symptoms?
Sometimes over the counter decongestants can help with things like this, because you want to dry up the mucus that is dripping. I would give that a try first...something like Zyrtec, Sudafed, etc. Zyrtec seemed to help my Mom with this problem quite a bit.

Should we try the Zyrtec? I am scared that this is only going to get worse and I feel so sorry for her. Whenever her lip swells people talk about her. I had been giving her Benadryl when the lips swell but is that really helping her since it is not truly an allergy? I have a friend that says she has the same thing and she takes Zyrtec and Pepcid at night, she says it is the combination of the 2 drugs, and then when her lip swells she has to take Prednisone.

Flonase is a bit different. I assume you were also buying that over the counter? This too is generally regarded as safe but is recommended to only be used 2 months out of the year unless your doctor has said otherwise. It's a nasal steroid.
