Avatar n tn My previous psychiatrist tested for thyroid and found no issues, but it was noted that my free testosterone was on the low end of normal and estrogen was slightly above the reference range. She refered be to an endo whom did further testi g and found similar results. After a round of tests, she could not find a cause, proclaimed it idiopathic and said she could do nothing but retest. A year later, my free testosterone was below the reference range (13.
919239 tn?1269398258 To be honest, the best results that I have experienced has been taking self injections of testosterone. I am male,55 yrs. old and found that my testosterone levels were very low. The injections give me more energy, less fatigue, stronger libido, and a better sense of wellbeing. I am not saying that I don't have depressive periods at times (more than just the blues) but I really feel that MDs.
Avatar f tn But how can those breakdowns be explained especially when i tried antidepressants and they didn't work and then Zyprexa did for once. So that tells me there was a chemical imbalance maybe severe back then but not as much now???
Avatar n tn I am also overweight, diabetic and generally could be diagnosed as having metabolic syndrome, which in turn can cause reduced testosterone production. So then it becomes a chicken and egg sort of mental game, and those sorts often have no clear winners.
943760 tn?1318608030 My hypothalamus is working just fine and my testosterone is at 426. After all the tests and the Doctors not finding a reason for this, I was left in the dark. I can remember the week before this all happened, I had to be admitted in to the City Mental Hospital for a 7 day stay, I put on my regular medication plus (10 mg Zyprexa ) I started having spontaneous Erections for 2 days. Then every thing stopped working I had told all my doctors of this happening.
Avatar n tn I have been schizophrenic and paranoid in my worst bi polar episodes. I do quite well on the zyprexa, celexa and the levothyroixine. I was probaly having thyroid problems for years but it never got checked.
Avatar m tn I went to a psychologist and he put me on Zyprexa about a week ago. I also went to the allergy doctor about 2 weeks ago and they put me on allegra. I also went to the endocrinologist about 2 weeks ago and he said nothing was wrong. I have taken blood tests and my calcium level is slighty high, my billiruben was also slighty high. Also I tried exercising to make me feel better but that put me in a depressed mood and made me feel worse.
11099322 tn?1415290528 I am on Adderall 60 mgs per day, Zoloft 200 mgs per day, Klonopin 4 mgs per day, Depakote 500 mgs per day, wellbutrin 300 mgs per day, and Zyprexa, 25 mgs per day. I want to get rid of the ADHD for good along with the chronic fatigue. The depression is manageable with wellbtib and my mood and obsessive compulsive disorder is manageable with the Zoloft. Bouts of schizophrenia are rare and usually occur when I am over stimulated on medications.

Avatar m tn I have been on Wellbutrin, Clonezapan, Xanax, Lorazepam, Buspirone, Clomipramine, Seroquel, Lexapro, Zyprexa, Zoloft, Cymbalta, Ativan, Risperdal, Paxil and Paxil CR (I believe that's all....as if that's not a lot). 253566 tn?1219683299 But if you have to ask yourself. And then tell them the exact truth. And if you did have such extreme feelings of depression and still do I would suggest working on getting help for it even if you don't feel you should be hospitalized because that would indicate that things are wrong. You have to understand its not a matter of trust. There are regulations. It happenned to me once before recovery. But I can't say they did the wrong thing.
1526148 tn?1295434820 I suffer from depression and anxiety and one usually follows the other and being constantly depressed and stressed can make you fly off the handle and get mad or sad easily and you said that you don't have manic episodes which I think is one of the main symptoms they look for when diagnosing someone with bipolar disorder.
Avatar f tn I know I need to wean the medication slowly but don't know whether I should take 500 mg daily and skip a day and then take it again the next or what is best to do or how long to do it. Could anyone give me any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate any feedback.
Avatar m tn Thanks for responding!! I have tried Cytomel, Hydrocortisone and even Testosterone Injections with little to no help. I went to the Mayo Clinic and they did every test possible and came back saying it was anxiety and depression and had nothing to do with the "possible microadenoma". What strikes me funny is that all along I complained of my right side feeling the worst and it just so happens that's where they "possible microadenoma" was found.

Avatar m tn I am on no medications currently and have never been treated with hormones though I was taking Zyprexa (long story) and max'd out at 250 lbs and am now 193 lbs. I still have some midsection visceral fat that I need to lose. 24 Hr Urine Toxicity test was OK except for Arsenic at 44 mcg/spec range 0-35. I live in a big city so maybe the Arsenic is from the water?

Avatar n tn Go see a Dr get your Testosterone and PSA levels checked. Man them blue pills are bad for you. They make my head hurt to much to have sex. Also try some forplay before rushing into sex. I'm only 26 I had some trouble and come to find out my prostate was 5x the size it should have been. Dr gave me some pills called Flomax to help then some blood work on my PSA levels. Is it hard to pee sometimes? like to get started? if so yea I would get it checked out.

Donate blood as I was told I have high iron. 28. Ru-Tuss 29. Amoxycillin 30. Toprol XL 31. Topamax 32. Naproxen 33. Maxalt 34. St. John’s Wort 35. Nasal rinses (2-3 times daily) 36. Avelox 37. Avatar n tn So, here I am 7 years later and still on a small amount of Estrogen via the patch, Progesterone via cream from a Compounding pharmacy, and a small amount of Testosterone (for muscle tone, libido, mental clarity, chemical sensitivity, and believe it or not, Clumsiness!). My weight is a struggle but has been manageable all these years with healthful eating and consistent aerobic/wt. training workouts that I do in my basement. But, a ruptured disk caused many problems including a wt.
Avatar m tn I have tried the medications below and the only thing that helps the racing heart and everything else is the opiates. I have very many of the same symptoms as cushings and a pituitary tumor which started when I broke my nose almost 6 years ago. Medicine's I've been on since 2003; Anti-Depressants / Anti-Anxiety Medications (with little to no help...most of the time I didn't even realize I was taking anything.
Avatar m tn I was hospitalized once for weakness and dizziness resulting in me falling down. Some tests done include: MRI, CT scan, 3 thyroid tests, some tests on my heart, blood pressure and 5 vials of blood for other blood work. I went to see a neurologist as well. Nothing has shown up. My doctor has given me no other course of action or diagnosis. Blurred vision and head pressure seem very related. Both are better upon waking for about 5 minutes (longer if I do not stand up).
Avatar m tn CT scan showed deviated septum, polyps and sinusitus (however, MRI did not show sinus infection). I was put on Avelox and Ru-Tuss, which did nothing. I have been on Zyprexa, Seroquel, Zoloft, Buspar, Cymbalta, Xanax, Clonezapan and some others with very little to no help at all. Just recently was sent for an EEG, but at this point I'm at a complete loss. Here is a better listing of my results, which are so confusing. One says one thing and one another.
20003388 tn?1515169640 I've come off Lamotrigine, Gabapentin, Zyprexa and Seroquel cold Turkey as well (not by choice) and Paxil was, by far, the worse withdrawal. I appreciate all the input from both of you. It's good that you guys are giving me suggestions of things to do or have checked in case there was something I hadn't considered. As far as the vitamin D3, my levels actually fall within normal range with the supplementation that I take. That probably means without supplementing I would probably be low.
Avatar f tn If you can use alternate forms of birth control I would try stopping and see what happens. My period has been on time since I stopped and they have been fairly short and light. Putting all those hormones in our bodies certainly has consequences and I think increased anxiety may be one of them.
