zyprexa

Avatar n tn Lastly, where do I go for new treatment and a fresh start to find out my diagnosis and get over this unbearable pain and loss?
Avatar f tn Join the club, this week has been a rollercoaster of mania and depression. I always get fatigue after mania - been sitting here in the evenings trying to stay awak and then no sleeping properly - mind you I am between jobs (new one starts in a week) so I have not got the stress and noise and constant on the go around me which I guess helps feed my energy. Feel for you.
Avatar f tn I am afraid risperidal is less tough than zyprexa say or seroquel on this matter. I am on seroquel 50 and work, of course it's sedating but i got accustomed to it. You are saying it has been a year and a half like this, i wonder how come only now that you are complaining. I admire your patience. Still, i feel there is something missing here. Your pdoc is the best one to realise your status, just by looking at your face.
1683690 tn?1308356992 Chronic fatigue is the unending fatigue. Fibromyalgia is more body pain and fatigue, but the fatigue isn't as severe as CFS. If you get sent to a rhuematologist you'll likely get checked for both (and probably lupus as well). Some days it is tough to make a meal. I can work part-time but it takes all my energy for a little three hour shift. I come home and fall into bed. Often without eating lunch. I need a 3 hour sleep in the afternoons to stay upright in the evenings.
Avatar n tn My calves, thighs, hips, buttocks, back, shoulders, arms, and neck get sore too, depending on what I work. I have been on 10mg Zyprexa and 20mg Paroxetine daily for over 5 years and have not had issues. I am a 28 year old male. I smoke but do not drink. I keep thinking I might have fibromyalgia, so I went to the doctor and got some tests done and these are the tests they did - ck cardiac enzyme, tsh thyroid, cemp chemistry panel, cbc white count hemaglobin platelets, esr sed rate, lymes titer.
Avatar m tn Have you been to a RA doctor to be checked for Lyme Disease, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, MS and whatever the doctor can think of. You really need to be seen by a Ruemotoligist for these things because they deal with autoimmune illness' and like illness'. Also have your eyes checked by an eye doctor just to rule out eye problems(they can also tell if you have diabetes and other problems by looking into your eyes) You may also want to see an ENT for your sinus and or an alergist.
Avatar f tn I know a few others on it and they've said the fatigue gets less with time. I believe Lexapro can cause fatigue too. Hang in there.
Avatar m tn Olimelt is the generic of Zyprexa which is used to treat anxiety and depression and also works on controlling neurotransmitters in the brain. A lot of medications that work for OCD are antidepressants. Sometimes doctors will prescribe a regimen of medications to see how you are doing. If you have been on them for a while, say about 4 weeks, and you are still having unwanted side effects then you should discuss with your doctor.
919239 tn?1269398258 old and found that my testosterone levels were very low. The injections give me more energy, less fatigue, stronger libido, and a better sense of wellbeing. I am not saying that I don't have depressive periods at times (more than just the blues) but I really feel that MDs. should prescribe more testosterone for patients like myself even though it is a "STEROID" You can google Dr. E Barry Gordon and go to his site...thehiddendisease.
Avatar n tn I get frequent headaches, joint pain, muscle spasms and twitching, nervousness, unprovoked anxiety attacks, vision loss (and I'm starting to go a little colorblind), fainting, difficulty sleeping, irregular heartbeat and fluttering, mood swings, disorientation, weakness, jumpiness, weakness and fatigue....plus all the trouble I have with my stomach on a daily basis. I know that it is probably not all connected but I have just been getting worse and worse since the beginning of summer.
Avatar f tn I am much more level and situations that have cropped up I have dealt with really well, which in the past would have had me climbing the walls.
Avatar n tn a bulls-eye-type rash is characteristic of Lyme disease, which can cause fatigue and various neurological symptoms. Of course, the skin lesion may just be some minor dermatologic issue, such as a fungal infection. Good luck.
Avatar n tn Personally I have kind of dropped off of it because I feel it makes me MORE groggy and withdrawn than helping. But then I am disgusted with feeling so tired and down and in pain BUT I'm not depressed about it at all. It's a nuisance but expected and I try to look at it that way. I hope you find the answers that you need. when I was new I posted questions so fast and furiously it was beyond words. You've come to the right place. Nobody ever seems to mind and they are just SO helpful!
Avatar n tn Each time I increased my dosage I experienced tingling in my hands and a little fatigue but now I take my medication before I go to bed and I feel great during the day. The tingling has also stopped. I've gone from 142lbs to 115lbs without changing my habits. I have less of an appetite now so I make sure I'm eating enough so I don't lose anymore. In my experience/opinion, Topamax is worth trying. Give it a fair chance.
Avatar n tn For your condition, I would suggest you take ginseng (energy and stamina), ginko biloba (concentration and improved circulation in the brain) and perhaps garlic (improved circulation). Try it and see if it helps.
Avatar n tn Hi, I have been on Effexor XR for 3 years and I have gained about 40-50pounds, most when my dose was increased to 225, now I am on 75mg b/c I'm getting ready to wean off the medicine in a couple of weeks, and I haven't lost anything yet. My eating habits have not changed and I exercise. I have always been underweight and I could eat whatever I wanted...I'm only 26 years old...I know my metabolism has changed some, but not enough to pack on 40 pounds.
Avatar n tn Catapress (generic clonidine) can cause fatigue and tiredness. There are no serious side effects between catapres and tenormin and zestril. Your doctor can advise you what to do if the side-effects are bothersome.
337492 tn?1212462436 I take celexa and zyprexa and I do not have cycling any more. bi poar really needs a combo of a mood stabilizer and an anti depressant.let me know what you find out about the thyroid .
Avatar n tn Have a happy Mothers Day :) Over here Mother's Day is in March in the cold weather :) The research re seretonin levels on autopsy re schizophrenia, I'll search it out another time and post the link for you. Its scientific research, the levels are much higher than they should be and its definitely seretonin that they measured. Don't know about dopamine levels - maybe that too, but this particular reasearch was on seretonin.
1323357 tn?1274826939 an increase of adrenaline and decrease of dopamine - and this feeling of depersonalistion and derealisation is a result. You are not going insane and this will rebalance itself. What makes it persist is that usually a person does not know what it is and so worries/creates more stress this creates a self-perpetuating cycle.
Avatar n tn Eventually, I was so sick of the side-effects of the bipolar meds (Zyprexa, Abilify, and Prozac cocktail at that time) that I took myself off them and suffered the worse withdrawal period of my life... and I'm a recovered heroin addict. When I was finally through the withdrawals from those medications which made me dysfunctional beyond my normal episodes of depression and hypomania, I obviously did not feel good.
Avatar n tn My brother takes 4 different types of meds for his anxiety and has for years, it works really well for him, Clonapin, Zoloft, Zyprexa, Metazapine. Everyone is different though, what works for one might not for another. Have you had thorough med exams? If so and you are sure it is just anxiety, read the book, Hope and Help for Your Nerves by Claire Weeks, plus you can download her cd's. They were very helpful for me!!
Avatar n tn Life has been one hell of a roller coaster, but in this time I have managed to graduate college and an MBA, secure and maintain a well-paying and fulfilling business career and marry the love of my life (and hang on to her thus far). I have seen 3 different family doctors, 2 different psychiatrists and 1 endocrinologist...
Avatar n tn Have you had your thryoid checked? and you are on alot of meds.I take celexa and zyprexa and it works great for me I have been stable now for 7 years. talk to your doc about why you need so manymeds and get your thyroid checked as a malfunctioning thyroid will cause alot of the same symptoms.
1030383 tn?1338464385 I'm withdrawing from Zyprexa, Abilify, Ativan and sertraline. It's been three weeks and I've had terrible nausea, stomach pain, fatigue, and generally not feeling good. How long will this last? And, any ideas on how to deal with mania since I can't just "knock myself out" like usual? I need to get enough sleep to stay out of the hospital!
Avatar f tn My neighbor takes Zyprexa, and another anti-anxiety, along with an antidepressant and several other meds for body health problems. It seems to me ,as I visit with her most afternoons, that Z, which she has been on since being released from a hospital years ago, is probably the most helpful with sleep. She will be taking it for the rest of her life. Only alternative to being put in facility. Guess what you are experiencing is body getting used to you not taking.
Avatar n tn It is weird cause in other websites I read the Geodon effectiveness was equal and maybe even higher than Zyprexa? Can you clear this confusion please?
Avatar f tn I remember being a puffy mute on lexapro and zyprexa. Not only was my usual 130 pound jewish frame elevated to 170 within months I felt suicidal for the first time in my life. I found a combo of wellbutrin/zoloft that seems to serve me well. After hearing my complaints of fatigue he added adderall. It does help but it's but you can develop tolerance fairly quickly and it's drawing on your body's essential vitality (chi) to do this.
Avatar n tn wlaking through life exhauted and blurred and fuzzy all the time and i forget things.
11099322 tn?1415290528 I suffer from General Anxiety Disorder, Adult Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Bipolar II (Major Depression), schizoaffective disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and chronic fatigue. It would be nice if someone can offer some advice as to what physical ailment, obscure or otherwise, that can be causing these mental illnesses b them just being symptoms of another disorder. What drugs would you recommend.
