zoloft

Avatar f tn with it. Mid February 2010 she had a TSH test and it was 8.0, and her Dr. increased Levo from 100mcg to 125mcg. She started to experience increased anxiety, depression, fear etc, which led my mom to request another TSH test by her Dr. in May 2010 with the result being 9.45 TSH. Dr. increased Levo to 150mcg but gave no reason why the levo appears not to be working.
Avatar f tn After spending a year with severe general anxiety (constant shaking, heart palpitations, inability to concentrate, unable to enjoy life and general miserableness), I started therapy and (reluctantly at first) Zoloft. I've now been on Zoloft for a year (100mg) and doing group therapy for about the same amount of time. The difference this year has made has been huge!
202436 tn?1326474333 My sister took zoloft the entire duration of 2 of her pregnancies and her and her babies had no complications... You are your doctor will decide what is best for you. Do not stop cold turkey. Your doctor will insturct you how to wean yourself off if that is your intention.
Avatar m tn What I can tell you is that as someone who has a crazy schedule I watch late night TV while I stretch on the floor, and there is an advertisement right now for a class action suit for people who took Zoloft and had children with birth defects and other problems. Law firms usually don't get involved unless they think they're going to win or have already won because of a review done of the drug.
Avatar n tn I took 50 mg of sertraline (zoloft) throughout my entire pregnancy and breastfed! And My baby boy is 4 now and I had no problems what so ever with being on it while pregnant and it didn't affect my son. I know ppl that switch to zoloft during their pregnancy. There are risks, BUT they are very low! Its a class B drug. I have a friend that is weaning off of another drug and switching to zoloft so she can become pregnant again!
94902 tn?1330479667 Just wondering if anyone is pregnant and taking either Zoloft (sertraline) or Toprol XL (metaporpolol). I currently take both - one for anxiety and the other because I have PVCs and tachycardia (which causes the anxiety). I am now estimated 6 weeks pregnant, and am having to make the decision about wether or not to come off my meds. I am in the process of weighing my pros and cons, but wonder if any other moms have been on any meds while pregnant. I would appreciate any input.
Avatar f tn Zofran for nausea is the medicine that has been on the news not zoloft
Avatar f tn I have been reading all the posts about Zoloft and pregnancy and I have to say that you are making me feel more comfortable. I currently take 25mg of Zoloft for Panic/Anxiety disorder. I have also been in therapy for over a year. It has been helping to teach me how to cope. Still can't fly, take a train or get stuck in traffic. I guess it is a little claustrophobia? My husband and I have been trying for our second child and I am wondering if the Zoloft is going to be ok.
Avatar f tn 21 weeks pregnant and doing okay. My doctor actually told me either Zoloft or Lexapro are the safer options if you need a medication. Don't suffer...you have to keep yourself feeling good to keep your stress levels low for baby. Talk to your doctor about it...I have a wonderful psychiatrist that I am working with.
Avatar f tn Thats a good point, regarless of the medication you need to do research of pros and cons... i just googled an article on zoloft and it made it sound more risky in the first 3 months, while baby is developing more i guess... but that was just 1 article... and you will have to research the the risks against the amount of anxiety you experience as that can be hard on you as well.... but definitely talk to your Dr :) make a list of questions, ect...
Avatar f tn my doctor wants me to start on zoloft...any one else take it during pregnancy and what is or was your dose? when i read online about it i am pretty sure they dont recommend using it in tyour 3rd trimester though? any feedback would be helpful...
10379139 tn?1409706165 My father killed himself when I was 2 so my thinking process from the wellbutrin is scaring me. I still have some Zoloft. Should I stop the wellbutrin and restart Zoloft immediately? This is such a terrible feeling. Anyone ever have this problem with wellbutrin?
Avatar n tn The only thing I can relate to is that my ex was on Wellbutrin when she was pregnant because it was deemed the only safe anti-depressant for her. She was on Zoloft before she got pregnent and although the Wellbutrin didn't work as well as the Zoloft it did help. She was bipolar type 2. I supported her an tried to keep her our of bed while she was pregnant to keep her from going too far into her depression. Some may have some better advice but mine is to try to stay as active as possible.
958812 tn?1268764172 s can be taken during pregnancy if the benefits outweigh the risks. Zoloft, Prozac, and Celexa are a few examples of Class C antidepressants that fit into this category. In general, its best to avoid these medications during the 1st trimester, if at all possible, and depending on the dosage you are on you may need to tapper down before delivery as some baby's do experience mild-moderate withdrawal symptoms after delivery. Visteral can be taken during pregnancy for panic attacks.
Avatar n tn My pregnancy was fine until I started on my meds and my son ended up being born 5 weeks early than my other son I also was on anti depressants for beginning of pregnancy and having problems until I quit taking them and pregnancy went normal. That son does not have autism but is very hyperactive. All my doctors say no its not nothing to do with being on anti depressants they were all tested to be fine for pregnant womean but I think they are full of ****!
Avatar m tn After I had my son a year ago I had very bad anxiety and depression and my ob at the time gave me zoloft. The anxiety eventually went away and I accredited that to the zoloft, so remai ed on it. Now that it has returned while I was on the zoloft I can see it is not helping, but rather my hormones were "off". Since zoloft is not advised during pregnancy I have d/c it and switched to the buspar yesterday.

Avatar n tn For me zoloft is great and every time I stop and start again it works for me... I have been taking it a for a year before pregnancy and I was really good. Now I'm without it and it's very hard.

142722 tn?1281533616 Hi I'm pregnant to :) due 7th August 2010. I've been on depakote and lithium and doing really well on it but as soon as I discovered I was pregnant I've had to come off the depakote. I'm seeing my psych on Monday to discuss what's happening with the lithium, I understand there can be issues with this during the last trimester of pregnancy. I'm hoping I can continue with the lithium as I don't want to be off all my medication.
Avatar f tn My husband took Trazadone during his second treatment (2010), which was daily Infergen injections with Riba. The Trazedone was added to Lexapro later in the treatment due to increased irritability/anxiety, etc. This time, third treatment with triple therapy with Incivek (2011), he is only on Citalopram (because Lexapro is contraindicated with Incivek). The Trazedone was fine for him, and combined with the Lexapro it did the trick to get through therapy #2.
