Avatar f tn but last few days my weight is not coming done, though i am following same diet and same life style. i am really upset with this, but still continuing my effort. my intake of calorie remains less than 1000. i have completely stopped sugar and oil. having lots of fruits and veggies. in that also i am trying to have low calorie fruits and veggies. i do not know now what should i do so that my weight will come down as before.

You should aim to lose 2 pounds a week and can do that by simply eating a healthy balanced diet. Drink 8 glasses of water a day and try to have vegetables with everything you eat!

526889 tn?1212540641 For your age you need 1500 calories daily to safely lose weight. I would recommend a Heart Healthy diet which is a moderate fat diet. Moderate fat diet means = use polyunsaturated (omega 3, corn oil, nuts, etc) fats and monounsaturated (olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, etc) fats, no saturated fats (high fat snack foods, butter, fat spreads) and no trans fats.
Avatar f tn ve lost your desired amount of weight to maintain your weight loss. Please know that I am not trying to advertise the Dr. Bernstein Weight Loss Program. The reason I mentioned this program is because even with the Dr. Bernstein Program , you loose about 4-5 lbs per week, not 10 ilbs per week. I lost close to 40 ibs on this program. I stopped the program because I was satisfied with this amount of weight loss even though the doctor on sight said I could loose another 10 lbs.

Since I now longer take Metformin I am having trouble losing the last 20 lbs I need to lose. Is there a connection between weight loss and taking Metformin. Has anyone else experienced this?

Avatar n tn Food intake - small portions, not too near bed time, low fat foods. You dont need to diet, just eat the right foods - theres no need to go hungry. You need to be disciplined - its a habit. Just like you can get into the habit of eating to wrong food, you can get into the habit of eating the right food. Exercise - the more you do the better. If you can do an intense 1hr / day, with the right diet, you will see results very quickly.

Crash diets just help you gain weight faster once they are over. So, pick some simple rules of a balanced and healthy diet, and follow them. Don't sweat it if you crave for something "bad", to a balanced diet belongs the bad side, too. If you give in now to a small piece of chocolate, it is much better than to eat two whole packages later.

Avatar f tn I hate to answer questions with more questions, but --- Do you know for sure that you have thyroid issues? If so, why aren't you being treated for them? What tests have been done and what are the results, along with the lab's reference ranges? We all react differently to meds, foods, etc and while some people do well with a gluten free diet, my doctor told me not to bother with it because I'm not gluten sensitive. I do well with whole grains.
