Avatar n tn Zone 3 is 70-80% of your target heart rate and results in increased aerobic and cardiovascular fitness. Sounds like you are training in high Zone 4 or even Zone 5. This level is for elite athletes and should only be visited for short periods by normal folk. You may want to spend more time doing light cardio. I agree with greendave, as a lot of us go full out and end up sustaining an injury or something worse. Get a good flexability program going to.

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn Thanks! Do you all take regular yoga or prenatal ? I already joined a gym and they have yoga classes a few days a week but not prenatal yoga.
Avatar n tn i want to ask that if yoga therapy is the best way of losing weight.
Avatar f tn One could switch between running, gymming, yoga, pilates etc. Swimming works good on belly and back fat. Aside swimming, ab-crunches and side leg lifts, could help with belly fat and love handles. Hope this is helpful. Take care!
Avatar f tn I use to practise bikram yoga 5-6 times a week. When we found out I was pg, my doc said it was too hot and I was instructed to stop until 2nd trimester. I lost the baby and have always wondered if the yoga played a part in the mc. Since the mc, I have cut way back. But it's been a year and we still haven't gotten pg. We want a baby but how long do I put my life on hold... I went to yoga 4 times a week during the first two weeks of this cycle.
1801781 tn?1461629469 I decided to get out of my comfort zone and start yoga with my daughter at my tender age of 60! wow, who knew I could to something new. Am I good at it...lol....NO. Am I enjoying it...YES! I could never have done it on the devil pills! Never would have tried. I am not like a lot of those that have posted...I never really took them to get high. I took them to stay mellow and not deal with life. Well, I guess life is gonna have to get ready for me, cause I am gonna take another look at it.
Avatar f tn Anyone know when your out of the danger zone...
4254325 tn?1355663975 When were you told the safe zone is? (dropped risk for mc) I was told after 2 months...
Avatar f tn How do you do the zone code. Where do you get it from .
Avatar n tn For the exercises better results may be obtained by rotating different work-out regimens such as a gym, swimming, yoga, aerobics, jogging, cycling etc. Also keep a track of calorie intake and your work out. With gradual consistent efforts, you should be able to lose weight as desired in a healthy way. If your weight still does not seem to budge, you may consider an evaluation by a physician to rule out hormonal/ endocrine imbalances. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar f tn I used to be a fitness fanatic until I found out I was pregnant.. Now I'm 9 weeks and don't train, and feel so bad about it.. But it's my choice.. I just want to get out of the "red zone" (=1 trimester) first, and then get back to it.. Read that walking is good... But I sure miss weight room ...
Avatar n tn like you could go walking instead of jogging and then gradually increase the workload within a comfort zone. It is also advised to rotate between various activities like cardio workouts, aerobics, yoga, running, weights, biking, swimming etc., for uniform toning of the body, rather than putting the workload on the same groups of muscles. Hope this helps. P.S. If this gets better in a few days, this would not require a physician visit. Take care!
