Avatar f tn I have difficulty at times staying what I call in the zone and processing information mainly by reading or audio processing. I easily get distracted and my mind wanders which makes learning very difficult. Are there any techniques that be used or natural remedies to help this?

There was an audio tape somewhere on the Net where Barry Spears (Zone Founder) verbally spars with I believe either Ornish (Ornish diet) or McDougal (McDougal Diet) the latter both being high carb, low fat diets. Avatar n tn Zone 3 is 70-80% of your target heart rate and results in increased aerobic and cardiovascular fitness. Sounds like you are training in high Zone 4 or even Zone 5. This level is for elite athletes and should only be visited for short periods by normal folk. You may want to spend more time doing light cardio. I agree with greendave, as a lot of us go full out and end up sustaining an injury or something worse. Get a good flexability program going to.

Avatar f tn I used to have audio hallucinations a long time ago before I was stabilized but all of a sudden I am starting to hear voices. I am not schizophrenic or psychotic (yet). I have Bipolar Disorder and have been going thru a lot of stress lately. My theraist siad it was just a symptom at this point and it is probably caused by stress. She told me to keep an eye on it and if it gets worse to tell my mental health care provider... I have an appointment with her on Sept 7th.

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.

Avatar f tn One could switch between running, gymming, yoga, pilates etc. Swimming works good on belly and back fat. Aside swimming, ab-crunches and side leg lifts, could help with belly fat and love handles. Hope this is helpful. Take care!
Avatar f tn I use to practise bikram yoga 5-6 times a week. When we found out I was pg, my doc said it was too hot and I was instructed to stop until 2nd trimester. I lost the baby and have always wondered if the yoga played a part in the mc. Since the mc, I have cut way back. But it's been a year and we still haven't gotten pg. We want a baby but how long do I put my life on hold... I went to yoga 4 times a week during the first two weeks of this cycle.

Am I enjoying it...YES! I could never have done it on the devil pills! Never would have tried. I am not like a lot of those that have posted...I never really took them to get high. I took them to stay mellow and not deal with life. Well, I guess life is gonna have to get ready for me, cause I am gonna take another look at it.

I can't say I have ever experienced what you are, but I do know how I feel about not being able to read like I used to. :/ Lulu is absolutely right about the library. Mine here is wonderful. They deliver my books to me, free of charge. I could get the audio ones, as well, if I wanted. If my library doesn't have one I am looking for, then will have it sent over from another library.
