Common Questions and Answers about Workouts during fast

Avatar n tn Hello all, I have noticed recently, during my weightlifting routines at the gym, that I will occasionally get a fluttering sensation in my heart that lasts about 10 to 15 seconds and occurs randomly while lifting weights or doing abdominal exercises, but oddly enough never during cardio workouts such as running or swimming (chance?). These "flutters" are quite worrisome, as I feel as if my heart may not recover it's consistent beat sometimes.
Avatar f tn I wanted to do my normal routine as well. I am definitely a fitness girl, but I toned my workouts way back just to be safe. I did fast paced walking until 32 weeks. Now, at 37 weeks I can't walk much. I do toning and strength training with light or no weights (lunges and squats are my favorite). My husband is a personal trainer, so I had to just accept slower workouts and just focus on retaining muscle memory. It's better to be a little conservative for the benefit of your baby.
Avatar f tn Prenatal yoga is great for strengthening all the muscles you're gonna use during labour and for focusing on your breathing. I've been swimming a lot during my pregnancy as it feels so nice to exercise without feeling the weight of your belly. Walking as often as possible is also good. These are the only exercises I did but depends on your ability and fitness level. I had breathlessness throughout my preg so anything else was too much much me.
Avatar f tn I have started to workout for 45 minutes a day just walking inclined , bicycling, and quad workouts. My husband is so concern that I am hurting the baby. My doctor has told me to not lift more than 25 pounds. I do lose weight fast. He doesn't want me to workout. Is it bad to workout even though I am not over doing it? Will it hurt the baby ?
Avatar f tn t wait! Just start doing some squats and going for walks. If you can hold a conversation during your exercise you are fine.
Avatar f tn Oh wow im the exact same as u! Weight height aand goal weight, but im trying to lose it by the first day of summer, june 20. I've lost weight fast before but then i fall off of it again. This time im sticking with it. What i do is run in the mornings, about 1 or 2 miles, make sum eggs, do the workouts they give here, then later on in the day go outside for a walk for an hour. On top off that just eat healthy and trust me ul see the weight come off.
Avatar f tn Running is a great way to burn fat fast and it helps your core. I also recommend workouts such as the "Spartacus" or T25 workouts. These are videos of quick 20 min workouts that are intense but burn a lot of calories and they work your entire core. Take a peek at these on YouTube they are great and they work.
Avatar f tn Wear running shoes suitable for a 5K when running speed workouts. Start speed workouts conservatively. The goal is to run faster toward the end, not at the beginning.
Avatar f tn My starter weight before I got pregnant was 118 and dropped to 115. Then I moved back home and my weight went up to 125 and now I'm 133. I did not like the fact I was gaining weight so fast and that I just lay around the house as well..so today I started doing more workouts that way I can be fit and have a easy labor. Hopefully I dont gain a lot of now. I just want a fit and healthy pregnancy. And specific workout routines you ladies do.?
Avatar n tn Hello!! I'm a first time mom-to-be and still very early on with my first pregnancy. I've been a little apprehensive about what workout moves are safe to do during 1st trimester. I've read that this early on it should be safe to do just about anything, and just try to avoid over-heating... But figured some advice might be helpful too!!
Avatar f tn Im saggy from my first plus from the 60lbs I lost before I became preg w my first and want to tighten up the sag but am 2 months pregnant. So whats some workouts safe during pregnancy? Im a stay at home so cant run like I did before.
Avatar m tn I'm 44 yrs old and experiencing problems with being extremely out of breath, finding it difficult to recover and catch back up during hard exercise. And I'm getting daylong headaches after these more trying bouts of exercise. I swim 5 days a week, 1.5 miles/day. During moderate to moderate to semi strenous swimming I seem to be OK, but still not recovering quickly and breathing harder than my peers. During the swim workouts, my HR is usually between 120-175.
Avatar f tn I worked out 4-56 times a week and now I can barely get 3 workouts in. I even made a schedule for a specific pregnancy workout I found on pinterest and walking and elliptical. We just have to listen to our bodies I guess! I felt Bette when I went to the doctor today because they told me to work out 3 maybe 4 days a week and only for a maximum 20 min..
Avatar n tn What do you ladies do for workouts while pregnant? Any schedules or specifics you follow? Any good advice? Im really trying to keep my body in shape.
Avatar n tn I want to workout my abs and thighs. Any workouts that you have in mind to help me workout?
Avatar f tn If you don't like workouts like me, try beach bodys rockin body workout (its kind of like zumba but not as intense). Its super fun and easy. Plus it doesn't look like you're working out, just dancing. Don't let anyone keep you down. You'll get to your goal weight! I believe in you! Same with you morgan1342.
Avatar f tn re already active it is fine to keep doing your regular workouts.. just monitor your heart rate, try not to get above 150. I asked her if boot camp classes and spin is still okay (by two favorite) she said as long and I'm monitoring I can do whatever I feel like as long as it is safe and I am not over heating (no more kick boxing).
Avatar f tn My height is 157cm and i am very nearly turning 14. I want to know if there are any workouts that will help me to get in shape quickly and it should also be fairly easy! please help! also i heard that there are some food that help you to burn fat??? what are they??
Avatar f tn I've had the same problem my whole first trimester. I'm almost in my second as well so I hope to start working out again soon. In the meantime I go to the pool when I can and do some swimming and stuff.
Avatar m tn I have 3 questions .. During my workout, which was a moderate level cross training, my HR was around 160. Is this too high? If so, what should i do? Also, will this come down as my body gets use to being more physical? Any help is greatly appreciated..
