Avatar f tn What happened with the first episode of Biggest Loser? They sent NINE people home on the first night (split up 9 teams). The reason behind it being that they want people to know they CAN DO THIS at home, without that bootcamp atmosphere. Isn't that amazing? I can't wait to see their results. The people sent home get a personal trainer and a membership to their local 24Hour Fitness, I believe. Not sure if these nine people will be getting that, though. Anyway, watched the show.
193609 tn?1292180293 Does anyone have the Biggest Loser game for the Wii that just came out in October? I bought it today and so far I LOVE the workout! However, every where says you can add a friend to challenge, but I can't figure it out? I want to challenge my husband, but I am struggling with the set up of the game! Anyone?? On a side note, the Wii game is AWESOME! If you have the wii balance board it is better, but heard you can use it without it too!
Avatar f tn m not familiar with that one either. I prefer yoga; there are tons of DVDs for that. The Biggest Loser Yoga for Weight Loss is great.
1056865 tn?1325808785 I watch the show religiously and I balled like a baby!!! When she was talking to Jillian in the gym...the tear show started and I was crying up until the end of the show! Abby is by far the strongest woman....she's amazing. I was so sad to see her go, but she's got the biggest heart out of anyone there. I wish her the best and all the happiness in the world!
Avatar f tn Actually I am watching American Idol. I haven't watched in a few weeks. I watch the biggest loser every now and then. Maybe no one else responded because they are watching it. haha. =) I am watching this, on here, and cleaning in between. I'm crazy.
483733 tn?1326798446 s why the 5 mile walk is nice because you have the option to do the workout with just the music and no instruction (she must have gotten a few "suggestions" after a few of her dvds lol)
Avatar m tn So the reason is the virus it self not the testing equipment getting beter and faster in deticting the antibodies of the virus?
Avatar f tn I really feel motivated to exercise and workout the muscles that haven't been used in probably 8 years. lol! Back when I was 14-17 I would join my father in the gym, but his trainer gave me different things to do to just be fit and toned. I do have some equipment at my house and my husband works crazy hours so we can't just go to a gym. Plus, I would like to look semi-decent to be able to even show up at a gym. (Yea, I've let myself go that bad.
703362 tn?1427766328 i can only do it on my wii fit though i tried with out the board its alot tougher! but on the game its push up and side plank! pretty hard i did 10 reps and got a 95%! i missed a pushup lol!
Avatar f tn WOW way cool!! Congrats!!
Avatar n tn I can only say that my wife has owned cardio equipment and if the owner used it frequently you'll probably find a lot of problems that constantly need fixing. They don't hold up well. If you can't afford fairly regular repairs in both time and money, I'd just get a gym membership -- it's probably cheaper in the long run.
1253186 tn?1304783542 I"m not familiar with either of these programs, but I seem to remember one of our members has ordered the P90X, I think. I'm very sorry, but right off hand, I can't remember which one it was. Hopefully, she will see your post and answer or I will remember who it was and contact her for you....... Personally, I like yoga for toning and all around exercise. It works the entire body AND helps you relax. My favorite dvd is "Biggest Loser, Yoga for Weight Loss".
Avatar m tn I also have a stomach ache that has lasted a week and seems to be aggravated when I move, and I, too, have been doing "The Biggest Loser" cardio max workout every other day and the 5 minute yoga stretch with poses at the end. I was wondering if I twisted something as well, so I was interested in any answers you got, but so far no one has answered if it is possible to twist something internally. Do you have any digestive issues?
637356 tn?1301924822 I know it is not technically a game but you can get the biggest loser on the Wii and it comes with recipe ideas, diet plan and work out regimen that will help burn calories and lose itches quick. You might try it!
362249 tn?1441315018 I finally have my biggest loser workout series 1 so now i can do cardio but i also plan on continuing The Shred and another JM's DVD so im wondering i heard the Shred is not enough and you need cardio which im doing but do i need to do it the same day as The Shred? I'm trying to alternate days of cardio and circuit training, will this work or do i need to do cardio ALL 6 days?
368461 tn?1291515587 s 30 Shred DVD - she is the trainer from Biggest Loser. Some friends say it is GREAT - 30 day challenge and only 22 mins per work out. There are 3 levels and you graduate levels every 10 days. Found this write up on it too from moms: http://www.motherhooduncensored.net/shred/ How are others doing with getting back into shape? Thank god it is summer and I can wear dresses that somewhat hide things.
Avatar f tn And then you can for usually a lower fee ask the trainer in the gym to show you how to use the equipment. You might enjoy the abductor machine or the hamstring press. But it's good to have someone show you. You also can google Hiit work outs (just as I spelled it. These are short interval training youtube videos that last usually under 30 minutes but give you a great work out.
973741 tn?1342342773 I do them on my computer most of the time, my computer is in a big room so it's easiest, the videos I do can burn up to 1,000 calories in one workout!
1292737 tn?1272559251 I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I just joined the medhelp website last night as both my husband and I have decided that we want to get back into shape. I'm 25 5'9" and 230lbs.....not my happiest moment. Anyhow, I just want to thank you all in advance for the support and encouragement. I'm being optimistic that I will stick with my exercise and eating plans. I'm going to be using "The Firm" workout DVDs and weights and can hardly wait.
Avatar n tn I don't know what diets you have tried, but crash diets don't work. If you cut back on your caloric intake by stages you will lose weight slowly, but it will stay off. Crash diets result in irresistible hunger and are self-defeating. A workable diet requires patience. Also develop an exercise program. Start with a moderate workout, perhaps just walking for starters. As you become thinner and more fit you can advance to a more intensive regimen.
Avatar f tn This form of exercise has become popular for a number of reasons. The equipment (bike) is already provided, the workout is low impact, it is performed indoors. Most importantly, the seat should be placed in the correct position to avoid injury and to maximize the effectiveness of the workout. Cycling (even stationary) can be a great way to burn calories. Rowing Machine, It's almost a complete body workout. Done correctly, this can be a challenging exercise.
Avatar f tn Well I cant even get on here lately. This used to be my only solace for the pain. I feel like such a loser like whats the point of even keeping trying...I havent taken any pills today but I gaurentee I would if I could find them, feels pointless. I left my husband with my 3 kids and no money no job no place to live, nothing all because I just knew if I got off the pills I would have a better life. But nothings better. Its worse.
Avatar f tn d suggest you join a gym that has a full menu of exercise equipment like cardio machines (doing the same form of exercise will get boring and cause your muscles to adapt to that one form of exercise and eventually you will see less and less progress), freevweights, strength, and core equipment. I don't know your level of fitness so I can just give some general guidelines. I'd suggest that for every day you walk you do a day of strength/core training on the next day.
