vomiting

675786 tn?1330954244 t think too much about it. About a month ago I had some pain in my forearm and found a lump, was told it was a cyst and not to worry. I have also had back and flank pain for a while. This follows a year of being unhealthy an vomiting every day for that year. I have been on Cymbalta for over a year, and don't feel depressed, so I don't think that is what it is. Any ideas. I don't even have a Dr. that I trust to go to anymore.
Avatar n tn But then it got worse - I had diarrhea, vomiting, and conjunctivitis. A few days later, I noticed my calf muscles had tightened, feeling almost as if in suspended cramp. A few days after that, I noticed I had joint pain in my knees. This quickly spread to the rest of my joints (I.e. ankles, toes, wrists, fingers) simultaneously.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I tried for 8 years to get diagnosed with vomiting all night and I have a positive EEG for migraine and negative for all abdominal tests etc. I was treated with Ergotamines, Imitrex, then a neurologist tried Doxepin (a tricycling antidepressant). It worked for 6 months. Then I moved and a psychiatrist finally diagnosed me with abdominal migraine. It is much like cyclic vomiting syndrome. He put me on clonazepam and after 8 years of suffering I haven't had that in 30 years.
Avatar m tn neck, then shoulder, then wrist, and now elbow and shoulder. Family Dr. tells me I probably have arthritis and tennis elbow. I am not athletic and can't think of what I might have done to cause this. However, shortly before all this started, I did get really sick with vomiting and diahhrea for over a week. I suspected food poison.
Avatar m tn The factors which make DGI unlikely are that vomiting is not a typical element of the infection and neither is it typical for joint pain to persist for more than a month as seems to be the case for you. To sort this out you need to see a doctor, preferably a rheumatologist or infectious diseases specialist or, alternatively a general internist.
Avatar m tn Hello~I think you need to see a doctor as soon as possible, this could be due to an appendix issue and if so, it will only get worse, that fact that you were vomiting and the pain subsided can be a sign that you best get help and fast as once it does burst, you will not have pain, but the poison will be going through your system. If it has to do with urinary tract, that too is an important issue to be looked into. Bottom line, don't wait get to the doctor or ER as soon as possible.
Avatar f tn The symptoms of crohn’s include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, flatulence, bloating, stunted growth, malabsorption etc. There may be immune related systemic/ extra-GI involvement presenting as eye symptoms, joint inflammation, skin involvement etc. In case of joint involvement a detailed evaluation by a rheumatologist is typically required for appropriate management, in addition to a gastroenterological consult. Hope this information is helpful. Take care!
Avatar f tn OA does not cause nausea. Because your joint pain is accompanied by nausea and fever, additional probing into the cause of your symptoms should be done. If your current rhuemy is not pursuing the cause of all of your symptoms, you should see a different doctor and change as many times as you need to until you find a doc who will listen to what you have to say, consider the whole symptom set and communicates effectively with you.

Avatar f tn I have had pain in my right upper quadrant behind my ribs (sharp) for almost a week---worse with activity, deep breaths, if I sneeze. A day ago I started having bad joint pain, so bad I don't want to nor think I can workout (normally do 4-7 times per week). My appetite has been normal, no digestive issues other than feeling a little very full after my normal meals, some bloating. I have a fairly strict high protein, mod carbs, low fat diet. No nausea or vomiting, etc.

After a series of tests my CT scan revealed that my prostate is slightly enlarged, and have several sub-centimeter cysts in my right kidney. Avatar m tn The primary role of cannabis is to stimulate appetite, reduce nausea and vomiting, and treat joint pain. This role is applicable to HCV patients undergoing chemotherapy, those with cancer or cirrhosis, and those with joint pain and headache. Cannabis is far less toxic than other medications that might be prescribed for these conditions and where liver impairment is concerned, it is vital to avoid toxicity.

Avatar n tn After a while the noises and joint pain may go away, but the joint continues to undergo damage. It just becomes quiet and the pain gets transmitted to the other parts of the head. The patient who experiences once a month headaches, along with a poppin joint, eventually becomes the twice a week headache patient with no joint noises. Avatar f tn For over 10+ years I've gone doctor to doctor for an unbearable pain in the back of my skull that comes and goes with no found trigger. I also have addition symptoms, but over the years they've worsened and this year I started developing heart problems as well. Doctors have said that I have Joint Hypermobility Syndrome, but have never found a medication that helps, so they're not officially sure that's what I truly have.

Avatar m tn 30 AM. The vomiting and vertigo did not reoccur, however, it took about 45 days for the wound to heal. At around the beginning of Nov. 2009, I began to have a strengthless feeling on my feet, which felt like walking on sand, and this accompanied with dizziness and headache. The doctor I saw suspected that I had cervical problem and did a CT scan of my neck, which did not reveal any serious problem that may suggest Cervical Spondylosis. Starting from around Dec.
507935 tn?1217359454 When I came off it, my joint pain returned and my rheumy said that was normal and was 'probably' a side effect from the withdrawl. He said it should go away a few weeks after being totally off the pred. I hope this is true for you.
Avatar f tn You will see how treating the virus has helped some people with Diabetes, certain joint pain and cryoglobulinemia to name a few. On the other hand some folks end up surprised or disappointed when it turns out treating/clearing the virus did not solve a certain type of malady. It really just depends. Avatar f tn Significantly more women than men reported joint pain, muscle pain, headache, back pain, heart palpitations, nausea, vomiting, anxiety, numbness and tingling, and changes in vision during at least one of six preplanned study visits with a physician. At the initial study visit, a similar proportion of men and women (about 60% of each) tested negative for Lyme disease using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommended two-tier testing criteria for serodiagnosis.
Avatar m tn Two days after that, I woke up with the rash on my face, hands, arms, and legs. My feet were swollen and red, my knees were swollen and warm to the touch and my hands were so swollen I could not make a fist. My face, cheeks, and nose also became red and warm. My sternum started aching which worsened with pressure similiar to costochondritis as well as various areas on my ribs(chest X-ray normal).

I went to the er the first time and they gave me stuff to stop the vomiting and something for pain and they said I might have kidney stones but never found anything. The next times I just suffered through the pain which usually last about 6 to 7 hours and it is unbearable, like being in labor. I will be fine for a few months and then it will happen again. Please help.
