Avatar n tn If you use computer a lot or read a lot then the symptoms of headache, dizziness, neck pain, numbness etc could be due to compression of the spinal nerves in the cervical spine region. This can happen due to overuse of computers, work involving straining of neck, herniated disc, canal stenosis, bone disease, spondylosis, poor posture etc. A MRI of the cervical spine and nerve conduction studies may be required. Please consult a neurologist.
Avatar f tn dizziness and light headed as well. i have nausea and vomiting the past three nights and severe muscle spasms in my neck and shoulder area.
Avatar m tn One-sided throbbing pain, often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, cold hands, sensitivity to sound and light is usually caused by migraine headache. If there was no previous trauma to your head or neck, this could be the possible cause. Try to avoid the triggers of the headache such as certain foods, oral contraceptives, changes in altitude, weather, lights, excessive smoking, and emotional stress. Ice packs and prescription medications may help.

Avatar f tn Hi, in tension headache pain can radiate from the neck, back and eyes. Tension-type headaches account for nearly 90% of all headaches. Epidemological data suggests incidence of 3% for chronic-tension type headache. "Pain is often described as a constant pressure, as if the head were being squeezed in a vise. The pain is frequently bilateral which means it is present on both sides of the head at once. Tension-type headache pain is typically mild to moderate".
Avatar m tn low headache and neck pain are common presenting symptoms with this as well, and i have seen this type of process result in Lhermittes sign discussed above. sweating and nausea could be the sympathetic nervous systems response to the threat or stress(anxiety pain etc) of the episode. . the right hip/thigh pain may be unrelated to all of the above. it could be from your old injury, or more recent herniated or degenerative disc problems. occasionally, knee problems present as pain in the hip.

Avatar n tn If there was no trauma or injury to the head or neck in the past, this could be due to primary headaches such as tension, cluster or migraine headache. It is important that you identify the triggers of the headache. Rest, ice pack, pain medications and avoidance of the triggers may help. If it persists, check with your doctor for direct clinical examiantion, Imaging studies such as CT scan or MRI may also help identify the underlying cause. Take care and do keep us posted.
