Just because any drug is available over-the-counter, doesn't mean they do not have side effects. And just because side effects are listed doesn't mean you are getting all the information on a drug. Vytorin is derived synthetically from a separate co-marketing agreement with merck and schering, etc. Anything sythetically made (including any over-the-counter medications) involve a risk.
I have had three surgeries on my left eye (SLT, filtration, and then lazer cutting of filtration sutures to keep pressures low.), by a well known glaucoma specialist. After each surgery, my vitreous became 'looser' and more floaters erupted. Before each surgery, I asked the surgeon if the procedures would cause vitreous excitation, and each time he said no. I was given vioxx years ago, read the warnings about heart attacks and such, and threw them all in the trash! Not much later it was pulled from the market. GB (no stones) as I was in alot of pain which appeared after a 2 week Master Cleanse fast (be careful folks as apparently fasts can cause a spike in cholesterol and GB distress). I have chronic pain on my right side under the edge of the ribs all the way to my back. It is driving me insane. Finally I am going to get a CT scan. Will let you know the results. I live in Italy where I can use Buscopan (hyoscine butylbromide) which apparently is not available in the US.

Hi. I am a 59 yr old male. Symptons are always have been cold, tired, joint and muscle pain worse in fingers, I took Vioxx before it was removed , high blood pressure , tinnitus, completely deaf over 2,500 cycles in both ears. Hearing aids made no difference. Dentist last month couldn't freeze my gums with 2 needles of Carbocaine.

I am 55 yrs old female and went for a physical and was told i had high blood presure, that day it was 144/92. I had a blood test and it showed high cholesteral 257. Doctor put me on 10 MG Lisinopril. I took the tab for 5 days on the fifth day my heart was pounding so hard in my chest and i felt like someone was sitting on my chest. This happened a few more time over the next week and it would go away after a few min.
22 days on sovaldi-olysio-no side effects,not even a headache.And to this life long non responder who has done and failed with everything that has been on the market,this combo is working.Cant believe I am getting better and not suffering like I did with all the previous poison.Its like Dr. Bones McCoy from Star Trek brought this stuff back from the future.
I woke this morning with aches and pains and have been experiencing a headache on and off all day that is when I am not SLEEPING. Honestly I am not complaining especially since I had expected much worse. My question is do the symptoms change or/and get worse as treatment continues. I would assume they do get worse since the meds build up in your body. I have 3 kids ages 16,11,and 7.
Did you taper off the vibryd or quit abruptly? You can't just switch from one medication to another even in the same class and avoid withdrawal -- these meds are not easy to stop taking and it must be done carefully. Unless you completely stop taking a medication before starting another it's impossible to tell if your symptoms are a sign you're suffering withdrawal and quit too quickly or are side effects of the new medication.
You definitely need to get some high quality moisturizer and start lathering your body with it. Also note – hot water dries out the skin. If possible, you might feel better if you skipped a daily shower when possible.
The nausea stinks big time. The Pegasys folks are pretty clear that this particular side effect doesn't last and in my case it didn't. After about a month it went away. Try to eat small, frequent meals. Anything you like. Cold food is better than hot food.

would this statement not really get you thinking.I never had any serious deseases but thought that the hep c would kill me. how irronic. those serious side effects are all that occur in our bodies, for some of us. I never experienced any thing like this before on the treatment.
It could be a side effect of the methadone or even an allergic type reaction to it. I remember when I took Macrobid (antibiotic) for a urinary infection, I had a high fever (102.3) every time I would take it, so I called my doctor's office and they told me to stop it immediately because I was having an allergic reaction to it. As it turned out, my father had had this same type of reaction to it a couple years before.
I had many side effects. Headaches, severe heartburn accompanied with hiccups. Blisters and discoloration all over my tongue and back of my throat. By day 6 my feet and ankles were badly swollen and it was getting difficult to swallow. My doc said I was having a systemic reaction and to quit immediately. We are going to try Subutex now and I hope it works.
On all the info I found, the only side effect I had that was listed was headache.
Hi I'm new to this site. In Jan. of 09 I had cervical fusion, in Dec. of 09 I had lumbar fusion. In Aug. I started the treatment (Pegasys Interferon and Ribavirin).I was wondering is treatment intensifying the aches and pains from the surgeries and I've developed several rashes.I go to see my GI on the 17.
applies somewhat in the case of side effects. Some are able to endure more than others. Exact same side effects can effect two people totally different so it's really depends on the individual as to how they will react. For the most part, people tolerate treatment fairly well. It isn't easy, but we manage. I never really over think it. Just go with it and hope for the best.
