Vioxx side effects lawsuit

Common Questions and Answers about Vioxx side effects lawsuit

vioxx

Avatar m tn t stop the vics), that being aside, you should read the warning leaflet and decide for yourself if the side effects are worth it. I was given vioxx years ago, read the warnings about heart attacks and such, and threw them all in the trash! Not much later it was pulled from the market. If I lost a loved one, $$ isn't going to bring the back anyway, it's all stupid. If I do myself in, I guess I will come back and haunt the manufacturers....BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...........
Avatar n tn I had a DVT that went through my heart and into my lungs(PE). A valve was damaged, also one chanber of my heart. My problem is that I wasn't diagnosed as a "heart attack", but rather a "pulmonary embolism", and the lawyers representing me in my vioxx lawsuit say it has to be a heart attack, not a PE. Isn't a heart attack part of a PE? Rather, did I suffer a heart attack as well as a pulmonary embolism?
390140 tn?1219883889 Someone said that it felt like speed. It does. I was only on it for 10 days. My doc ignored the side effects I;m having and now have to take benzos around the clock....i'm considering a lawsuit against the doc and/or the manufacturer. Avatar f tn If there is a lawyer in the area whose done a lawsuit like this, they can steer you in the direction of a knowledgeable doctor with the tramadol and side effects. Also, at least here, these types of case are done on a contingent basis, so that means that you don't pay unless you win and the attorney fees will come out of your award. Good luck to you!
Avatar f tn Occupant, Just because any drug is available over-the-counter, doesn't mean they do not have side effects. And just because side effects are listed doesn't mean you are getting all the information on a drug. Vytorin is derived synthetically from a separate co-marketing agreement with merck and schering, etc. Anything sythetically made (including any over-the-counter medications) involve a risk.

Avatar f tn t have a lawsuit culture over here (Ireland) so we are all much more stoic about medication side effects, even when they are truely awfull. I will try out the diet though because anything that helps would be so very welcome. Thanks for the advise.
Avatar f tn This might not be a potential case for lawsuit. These are the known side effects of celebrex, which may be more pronounced in some individuals. Though celebrex carries the risk of gastritis and GI ulceration, like other NSAIDS; the incidence is slightly lower as compared to others. Symptom of GI reflux can be aggravated by it. Rhythm abnormalities (early de-polarisation/ re-polarisation) may not be related to celebrex use.

Avatar f tn Hi, I just wanted to post this article about injectable contraceptives and breast cancer: http://www.sciencecodex.com/comment/reply/89256 I also wanted to ask people's opinion about newer, somewhat controversial forms of birth control like Yaz and NuvaRing. From what I've read, there seem to be a lot of serious side effects and I'm always cautious about medications that haven't had that many years of data behind it.
Avatar m tn I was even prescribed VIOXX in the States for these symptoms.
Avatar m tn This group of NSAIDs has the advantage of having fewer gastrointestinal side effects – less abdominal discomfort and less risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, than conventional NSAIDs. There are three different COX-2 inhibitors currently available to the public– Vioxx, Celebrex and Bextra. COX-2 inhibitors have been associated with some liver dysfunction, although not as commonly as other NSAIDs. Recently, Vioxx has been removed from the market due to heart-related problems.

Avatar f tn ve been injecting Byetta for nearly two years (twice a day). My husband saw that there is a class action suit against the manufacturer because of side effects, damage to the pancreas. I did some reserch on line and found there are all kinds of side effects, damage to the kidneys, liver and G.I. issues. For the last year I have had IBS and now my blood sugar is climbing, (only my fasting). Needless to say I have quit taking the injections because I'm afraid it has caused these changes.
Avatar f tn Possibility of long term sides is already covered in a package insert for interferon. It says that side effects (they are all listed there) may or may not go away after treatment. So technically, they are honest with patients, and there is no grounds for a lawsuit.
Avatar f tn I know privacy laws, blah blah. But, we all know a dr can tell a friend something on the side and nobody would know, except my dad. Not to mention, I have gone to this dr for like 15 years and i am embarrassed. I feel like I neeeded to take the oxy because the vics didnt work and i told the dr that. But, i know it isnt about what i feel. And yes i did try talking to my dr about it. I almost feel like im addicted to the pills because the back pain i have is just oo much to bear.

Avatar m tn But the past few days she is having a fast heartbeat around 130 and fluctuating blood pressure at the same time, from almost low to high. She also seems to get a lot of side effects from most medicine. Even the Coreg she cuts the pills down smaller because of the side effects she can't stand. She is around 75 years old. She also can't tolerate ANY salt in her diet, as it raises her blood pressure. So she does not eat normal. Its amazing how much food naturally has salt in it.

Avatar f tn I am not a big fan of Levaquin, which has some very serious side effects, however I would also suggest you get an hbcA1c test for diabetes before jumping to conclusions. Alpha lipoic acid supplements are helpful and you might consult your physician about using a medical grade dilute solution of DMSO which is a very powerful anti-oxidant and antiinflammatory. The DMSO treatments are controversial and you might want to review the material on the net before making a decision.
