Common Questions and Answers about Trilipix trial offer

tricor

Avatar n tn 1 month later he was not saticfied with the drop in cholestoral so he put me on a fairley new drug called Trilipix. I take 10mg of lisinopril for high blood pressure, 10 mg of crestor, and 145mg of trilipix. After being put on the trilipix I started felling tired and having stomache problems (constipated and cramping). I went back to have my a1c check last week and it was 8.0.
Avatar n tn Here are the meds I am own - Questran - 1 packet for irritable bowl, Prozac for OCD, Allergy Injections, Methyldopa for blood pressure, and Trilipix for Triglycerides (nearly 1000), and Vitamin D. I am only 30!! I am overwieght but work hard to get rid of it with little or no results. They even checked me for Cushings. My TSH is low at 0.3 and I have a Goiter but no known thyroid problem. I have acne. Anyone know what could be causing my heartburn to be so severe?
Avatar f tn Thank you for answering my question. Yes I take trilipix and lipitor.
Avatar m tn I have been on Lisinopril (bp) for 5 years and Trilipix and Simvastatin (cholesterol) for the last 3-4 years.
956931 tn?1271636169 Just wondering if anyone has started the Boceprevir trial study anywhere? I have been accepted into this study and am curious what the feedback is from anyone who has already begun. Still pretty new to the forum but have paid close attention to the wisdom of you who have been on here for some time. I am impressed with several of you for the vast amount of knowledge you have acquired regarding all phases of this virus and its tx's. Thank you for your willingness to share and to teach.
315318 tn?1353251800 Recently , I was prescribed a fenofibrate (Trilipix 135 mg) along with Crestor. My cardio wanted this for helping in getting my triglycerides down. I have not had a lipid profile done since starting on this med two months ago. However, since being a diabetic , I check my blood glucose (BG) many times during the day and what I am noticing is a clear trend in the BG numbers going lower at least over the last month or so.
Avatar m tn Welcome to the forum, I just started the trial last week. Google NCT00705432, and some links will come up. You can go to clinicaltrials.gov, and run a search there as well. Also you can go to the search box on your upper right and type in boceprevir and recent threads will come up.
Avatar n tn Will the trial provide rescue drugs such as Procrit for example? Is the trial blinded? What is the probability of getting a placebo? How many arms of the trial are there and what are the dosing levels in each arm? What rules are there for continuing and criteria for dropping out?.
Avatar m tn Welcome new member. We're not doctors but members can offer you advice and support. It's not live chat so if you have to leave please come back later to see replies. If you can provide some basic info like genotype, fibrosis F0 -F4 cirrhosis, prior treatment etc. it may be easier to provide possibilities. This is one of the most comprehensive sites for trials and some members may be able to help you search. Many trials that say now recruiting may already be full.
Avatar m tn I agree. The benefits outweigh the few, (if any at all) side effects from taking the benzo's every day for over six years. I'm 26 now without insurance, and they are the cheapest of the meds I am on. Trilipix is 184USD, Crestor is 189USD, and even generic gabapentin is 154USD. Lexapro is about 140UDS. Generic Klonopin is about 10USD. Remeron is about the same. And Inderal is 4USD. This is all per month, and I need every one of them.
Avatar m tn twice a day, Amlodipine Bensylate 5mg. once a day, Trilipix 135mg. once a day and Ibuprofen 600mg. when needed. Pravastatin Sodium 40mg. once a day and Alprazolam 1mg. twice a day. I have been to my doctor and have told him about it and he just says, its anxiety. Does anyone know what might be causing this ?? I am tired of hearing that it is anxiety ! Please help !!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn It is for teleprevir but it is a phase lll for twice daily instead of every 8 hrs. It is trial # VX950C211. Is there anyone who knows anything about this trial for Teleprevir? Would it be a good one to get into? I see my Liver doc this week but I think I may be close to a stage 3 because of my low platelets and other blood counts. The doc I see will be a govt.ran healthcare and will only offer the regular interferon and Rib.
Avatar n tn rank=4 I am trying to get into this trial myself -- the Boceprevir trial for relapsers and nonresponders. I am trying to get into the trial clinic in Dallas. Do you live by a big city? You're not old, by the way. You are a spring chicken!
Avatar f tn So my hubby put an offer in on a house and seller accepted!!!! Go into escrow tomorrow...
Avatar f tn Now im 12 wks pregnant and they finally called to offer me a job. But now im terrified cause im pregnant and hate to not tell then right away , because that's what everyone is saying. I just feel like im being sneaky but I really want this job and don't want them to change there mind once they find out I'm pregnant....
Avatar m tn You can get the trial number from the informed consent and maybe send out a message to see who is in the same trial. I was in a trial with IFN, RBV, GS9451 and GS5885. Had to drop after 12 weeks due to viral load going back up as a result of resistance. This was my second attempt at tx - was a non responder the first time. Good luck and hope that you get UND and SVR.
971268 tn?1253200799 I'm sorry I don't know an awful lot about this trial because I've been SVR for over two years and really don't keep up with them....I've gotten kind of lazy I guess. There are obviously advantages to a new trial but as you know and see there are risks. I wouldn't drop my riba for anything or anybody - especially in the first 12 weeks when it is crucial. I've been here for almost 5 years and never heard of anyone having trouble with Procrit at all.
653618 tn?1260603643 This sucker just came out in December and US Oncology is getting ready to offer the trial at their facilities (I think) across the country starting next week. Questions: Anyone else out there currently participating in either trial? What does anyone know about EC145/Precedent? I’ve read a lot on VEGF Trap and not sure I’m ready for this….it looks like something I’d be interested in down the line, but not for 2nd line chemo. Maybe I’m wrong.
Avatar f tn t offer med insurance. If we get insurance for him on our own, will they cover his hep c treatments, or is it considered a prexisting condition? Also, how much do hep c treatments cost if you don't have insurance? We want to get him treatment, but we are limited on money. thank you everyone. I'm glad i found this place.
Avatar m tn I live in the US. If you are looking for Tenofovir, I'd suggest checking out a doctor at the HepB.org site and talking to them about a clinical trial (whether it's for Viread or another Hep B clinical trial). Some may offer right off the bat. I'm unsure about the price without insurance. I suspect, without insurance, $80 a pill?
Avatar n tn Im 53 im on high blood pressure pills and my blood pressure is fine but my pulse is high .could you maybe explain why this is going on.
