Common Questions and Answers about Trilipix not approved

tricor

Avatar n tn I am really thinking that trilipix raises blood sugar levels....I have never had a sugar level problem, than my primary care doc put me on trilipix. I took it for six months ... went in for my routine blood work and he says my sugar was up and I was now had pre diabetes with my a1c test being 6.1 The only change I have made Is the Trilipix...I don't think it is a coincedence! I quit taking it...not just because of that but I was also having terrible muscle spasms....
Avatar f tn Thank you for answering my question. Yes I take trilipix and lipitor.
683231 tn?1467323017 Hi, sorry the harvoni was not approved. You say in your post that ribavirin is not good for people with cirrhosis and low platelets. Ribavirin does not impact the platelets, that is interferon that does that. Ribavirin impacts the hemoglobin and actually without interferon, and considering the short duration of treatment, most of us who had previous trouble with ribavirin are having no trouble with the new treatments. You also say that the Abbvie drugs will be used with ribavirin.
Avatar m tn I have been on Lisinopril (bp) for 5 years and Trilipix and Simvastatin (cholesterol) for the last 3-4 years.
Avatar f tn My insurance company approved me for the occipital nerve stimulator!! yay!!!! I meet with the rep tomorrow to learn how to use it. I'm scheduled for surgery for the trial on Feb. 23rd!! I have so much to do by them because they said I need to see my primary for a physical as well as have some labs done. So a lot to organize!! Plus the last I talked to them they didn't want me going to class or work the week I had the trial...
Avatar m tn I got the call from the doc's office yesterday. Medicaid has approved my 12 week course of Sovaldi/Ribavirin. I start next week as soon as the meds arrive. I have to be extra careful not to drop one of those $1000 pills in the toilet......
Avatar n tn Here are the meds I am own - Questran - 1 packet for irritable bowl, Prozac for OCD, Allergy Injections, Methyldopa for blood pressure, and Trilipix for Triglycerides (nearly 1000), and Vitamin D. I am only 30!! I am overwieght but work hard to get rid of it with little or no results. They even checked me for Cushings. My TSH is low at 0.3 and I have a Goiter but no known thyroid problem. I have acne. Anyone know what could be causing my heartburn to be so severe?
315318 tn?1353251800 It also does not relate to heart disease directly. However, it relates to a drug I take for cardio-vascular problem but the more tangible result seems to be in diabetes control. In a nutshell, it just proves that you can not treat body parts in isolation ! I am a diabetic on insulin. Recently , I was prescribed a fenofibrate (Trilipix 135 mg) along with Crestor. My cardio wanted this for helping in getting my triglycerides down.
5045042 tn?1365890100 just found out from member svs. i was approved for treatment but the pharmacy has no record of the order?
Avatar m tn I am guessing if it gets approved(maybe 3 or 4 weeks?) that I will start maybe around the end of Jan or the beginning of Feb.

5924569 tn?1377745370 I believe I'm starting to catch a cold. Does anyone here know of any approved medicines that I can take for this cold. I'd call my on but their offices are closed now.
Avatar f tn I wanted to let everyone know my insurance company approved the 3 meds (Incivek, peg and riba). They have approved the incivek for the first 4 weeks. At that time if my blood results are where they need to be, they will approve the next 4 weeks and so on. If I do not respond the peg and riba has been approved for the course of the tx. Positive thoughts here, praying to be undetected so I can keep using the new meds. I am very excited to say the least.
645390 tn?1338555377 Well, after just about 2 years, 2 denial letters and hearing 3 weeks ago, I have been approved. It's been a long time coming...I feel really happy relieved, and at the same time sadness... Just thought I would let you in on my journey with ms...
29837 tn?1414534648 Just got a, call from the Medicare sub-contractor, my insurance company, that they have approved Bocepravir. This should be good news for those on Medicare. They said to call the pharmacy and order the meds now. This is the beginning of what will hopefully be my (and other's) final battle. Good luck to everyone in their battle. One way or another, we will all be victorious.
Avatar f tn Does any one know if I can get approved for income based apartments if I receive ssi payments each month and child support but I'm on besrest and can't work..
Avatar f tn I would like to find a forum for people whose drs have prescribed treatments that are NOT FDA approved. I have been prescribed a med that is approved for some cancers, but not the application for which I am using it. Because its not approved for this application, there is not much information out there about clinical trials, and their results. But somewhere out there, there is a study that led my dr to try this treatment. I would like to see the results of that study.
Avatar f tn Well if all goes well it looks like my hubby and me have finally found a place to rent! We have been living with my parents up til this point. We have been approved, just waiting on the owners lawyer to draw up the lease agreement for us to sign. We found it via Craigslist, so I've been reluctant to get too excited. But today we found out we are approved and just waiting on the paperwork.
Avatar m tn It's not legal for health insurance to deny an FDA approved treatment when prescribed by a physician. Do you think this isn't the case?
