Then after lunch I brush with Colgate Sensitive because of the receding gums and sesitivity. My burning tongue comes and goes. But like most of these pains they migrate in 24 hours and new spot hurts more.
If your dentist has x-rayed your teeth and has found no problem with your teeth or gums then it would behoove you and your dentist to look in another direction. What stands out in your description is the clenching and grinding that you seem to be doing. I think you need to address that situation with your dentist or a doctor that specializes in TMJ dysfunction. These habits are harmful to your teeth, gums and joint areas.

I have tongue movements (along with all the other movements) with Tardive Dyskinesia. My Neurologist wants to put Botox in my tongue for this. I'm 64, and will do just about anything to stop this, but it scares me somewhat. Has anyone else had this done, and what were the side effects?
The tip of my tongue taste buds seem to be swollen, itches to the touch and hurts a little if I scrape my teeth on the tongue. Prior to that I used a tongue scraper multiple times to clean my tongue. Twice in the past few days my labrador has stopped eating his dinner midway through and just stood there looking concerned and sticking his tongue out or looking like he is having issues with his tongue, After a few minutes of standing with him reassuring him he's ok he seems to go back to normal, and finishes his tea. I can't find any possible reasons for this on the net, never seen this before, haven't changed his food or anything and he's fine apart from this.
For about a month I have had a numbness and or tingeling in my left cheeck and side of tongue. Usually I also have a burning on my tongue and or a metalic taste in my mouth. I first thought it was a sinus infection but I now have no other sinus symtoms. Now I am having a some uncomforatability above my left uper back teeth. t even know how to explain what my symptoms are, everyone just stares at me when I explain it. But I am very uncomfortable daily, my tongue tingles at times and feels almost "strained". I am 25yrs old male and since couple months ago everytime I brush my teeth it would bleed. I am a constant smoker, and was wondering if that would have anything to do with it. I also noticed the other day under my tongue a white bump, it looks and feels like a bone near the bottom from teeth, was wondering if that is normal or should i be worried about anything.
My 18 yr old son has a couple bad canker sores one on side of tongue one right on top of mouth right behind front teeth. Our Dr. prescribed an ointment over phone for him yesterday and it is helping the one on his tongue but his gums are still really swollen on the top so much so it coming through his front 2 teeth. I am hoping he just needs another couple days on medicine. Has anyone else ever experienced this? He is worried it isn't going to shrink back to normal.
